Creating itemized sets using file upload and OCLC numbers
Currently, when we create an itemized set by file upload (also known as "Adding Itemized Sets"), the file upload option only includes MMS ID, PID, Barcode, Item ID, Portfolio ID, or PO line reference. If I have a file of MARC records from OCLC or another vendor, it would be nice to run the OCLC numbers through Alma to see how many titles are currently in Alma. At this point in the process, we don't have an MMS ID. If we could use a list of OCLC numbers, this would allow us to create a set of records based on the OCLC numbers.

Yes, Asaf, but where is the PID as a header? We would like to be able to upload the PIDs and search for portfolio. Even though in the documentation we can use PID, but the search is not valid. Please allow uploading portfolio IDs to create a set of portfolios.

Several months ago, Ex Libris added the ability to create itemized sets using the OCLC number. This works great when creating sets for All titles, Electronic Titles, and Physical titles. It would really be useful to have this same option added to Electronic portfolios and Physical items as well. I realize it this has a huge potential to be problematic, but there is not an easy way to get a list of portfolio IDs if you are creating an electronic title set. The person running the job has to take some responsibility to carefully review the portfolio set for the unexpected hits in the newly created set.
Also, once the "Add members to set" job is run, the report gives the total added to set and the total invalid. The "total invalid" are usually instances when the OCLC number is not in Alma. Please provide a list of the invalid oclc numbers in the report. If I have a list of the invalid numbers, I can then go back to OCLC or to the vendor and find the missing records.
