Removing old collection/overlap analysis reports
It would be great if we could remove old collection/overlap analysis reports. There are a couple that we had run by accident or no longer need. we would like to keep this area of Alma neat.
1 voteThis functionality was introduced in the new Overlap Analysis tool that was released in March 2022 Alma Release. In the new Overlap Analysis tool, reports can be removed from the reports history list.

Add column for printout queue to Printers Configuration screen
Please add a column to the Printers Configuration screen so that users can immediately see that which printers are printout queues.
1 voteIn the November 2019 Release, an indication was added to the printers list. More details can be found here: https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/030Fulfillment/080Configuring_Fulfillment/110General#Configuring_Printers

List of items- add column for item policy
This idea has already been submitted. It received 201 votes and is listed as completed back in Feb 2019. However, the item policy column still doesn't seem to be visible in the 'List of items'.
It would save a lot of time to have an instant overview of the ratio of item policies for a title, without having to go into every record individually and write them down.1 vote -
Allow labeling of parameters like local param 01, 02 for bib and holdings
Alma allows adding bib or holding field additions into Alma Analytics
https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Knowledge_Articles/Add_bibliographic_fields_to_Alma_AnalyticsFor instance you can request that "local param field 01" pulls the 690 field. However, you cannot change the "local param field 01" label in analytics from "local param 01" to 690. This is not user friendly because the availability of the 690 field in your analytics report isn't apparent to users.
I'd like to request the ability to locally label these local param fields so they match up with what the fields actually do in an analytics report.

Cursor to be automatically positioned in the field
We found the problem about “Quick printing”.
When printing slips during “Scan in Items” using “Quick Print”, we have to position the cursor in the “Scan Item Barcode” field every item.
We think it is a bothersome step, and would like to skip.We suggest that the cursor to be automatically positioned in the “Scan Item Barcode” field.
1 voteDear community,
When printing slips using quick print the positioning of the cursor is done automatically once the print dialog box closes. Thanks,

Make Proxy For Tab Information Available in Analytics to Search For
Please make the information from the "Proxy For" tab in Alma a searchable field in the Alma Analytics. We have had to come up with alternative ways to track the information, which is time consuming and not always reliable as some staff may not be reporting that they are creating a proxy user link.

Hide DARA from public view
People who do not use DARA see the recommendations and dismiss them, not realizing that they are doing so for all of a site. Could Alma be removed from the upper bar? If this feature were less prominent, we think this would happen less often.

Provide an integration profile for Ebook Central subscribed titles
We subscribe to the collection Ebook Central Academic Complete International Edition. The number of subscribed titles on the Ebook Central platform is currently around 185 000. However, the Community Zone collection only has around 164 000 titles.
According to ProQuest, there are differences between countries in terms of the number of titles available for a specific customer, based on copyright and publisher restrictions. However, there is only one collection in the Community Zone (i.e. the International Edition package), which would mean that the actual number of titles in that collection does not correctly reflect each international customer's subscribed and active…
1 voteHi,
ProQuest Ebook Central integration supports activating subscription content according to the customer ID – this functionality is available for early access customers and will be available for the wider community at a later release. If your institution will like to take part in the early access initiative please contact me directly

Show if cataloguer notes exist
When working in the meta data editor we don't know if a record has notes attached to it unless we select "View Notes". it would be helpful if record with notes attached showed the existence of a note, maybe with a small symbol?

Maintain Receiving Status filter on Received Items List when managing/receiving items with predicted issues
When receiving continuous orders that have prediction patterns the operator chooses Manage Items from the Receiving Workbench. The form that appears is the Received Items List. The filter for Receiving Status defaults to All. It would be helpful if that filter was sticky and/or customizable so that the filter could be set to Not Received.
When the list displays all records issues that have been received show and the receiving operator must either change the filter or scroll down the list to find the issue that they need to receive. Sorting this list via ascending or descending will cause the…
1 voteAs of Alma May Release, Alma’s receiving workbench (Manage items screen) incorporates sticky filters. These sticky filters (Sort Routine, Receiving Status and Location) enable users to easily re-access these workspaces when either a user leaves the screen and returns after a short while or logs in again to Alma.

Convert to Resource Sharing Request - Needs to be able to work even if an item is in transit to the request.
Currently we have set up a Scan and Send process. However, dependant on how many staff we have able to digitize items on a given day. We will convert some requests to Resource Sharing. However, it is not possible to do this if an item is already in transit to the request.
1 voteAs of July release institutions can convert ‘Hold’ requests to ‘Resource Sharing’ requests if the pick-up location is personal delivery and the resource sharing library supports personal delivery.
for more information please see Alma July release notes:

Alma Video Tutorials
When any updates in Alma are implemented, I would like to see the video tutorials updated to reflect those changes. The video tutorials are extremely helpful in training new and existing staff or users. However, some of the information in the current video tutorials do not necessarily reflect new changes, updates, functions, modifications, locations (of the tabs), some of which have been relocated.

Make MMS ID into a clickable link in brief PO line display
It would be great if the MMS ID in the brief PO line display is clickable so that we can click on it and navigate directly from the PO line to the bibliographic (bib) record.
Currently, the MMS ID is viewable in the brief PO line display but is not clickable. In contrast, the number in the Orders field within the brief bib and inventory display is clickable and we can thereby navigate directly from the brief display to the PO line(s).
In the attached document, please find an example.

Opening General message from Resource Sharing record should automatically put the cursor in the text field.
Opening General message from Resource Sharing record should automatically put the cursor in the text field.
Currently, it just opens a pop up, whether from the Edit > General Message button or the three dots (...) > General Message option -- these have different UIs but neither put the cursor in the text field, which is the intuitive action.

Claims
Would it be possible to add the option to assign in the list of order lines with claim? When there are several purchasing operators working on claims, it would be very useful if each one could assign certain claims.

Ebook usage information in Alma on Other Details per portfolio
Within Alma when looking at Ebooks (or journals) it would be nice to have the ability to see "usage" - by portfolio - based on the OpenURL report or potentially pulling in SUSHI harvested data. It could be on the portfolio level or "Other details" similar to how books show usage. Quick way to determine if additional titles need to be purchased.

Populate library hours from other sources
Currently Alma does not accept a feed of library opening hours from other sources, we would like ExLibris to add this feature for better integration with other calendars. Currently Alma API can retrieve and output library open hours, it would be nice to have an API that can read and update library open hours.

Using best ebook record in community zone
The ebook CZ records could be a lot better. The EBL records are already better than the CZ records, therefore wouldn't it be great if ProQuest would allow Ex Libris to use these records in the CZ.

Add Electronic collection life cycle in analytics
Bibliogrpahic records, portfolios, etc. have life cycle but not electronic collections. My project is to identify electronic collections that do not have portfolios, but the report also includes collections that have already been deleted. So adding the life cycle to electronic collections will be very useful.

Use sane file permissions on gzipped files from publishing jobs
When extracting the MarcXML-files from a publishing job, the extracted files by default have unix file permissions set to 060 (u=,g=rw,o=), i.e. only readable and writable by the group, not by the user. This is weird and makes little sense.
Even worse, it also means that on systems with default umask of 022, which is very common, the effective permissions will be 040 (u=,g=r,o=) which means that the files can be neither changed nor deleted – even by the user who extracted them – without messing with permissions.
I can see no reason whatsoever for preferring the current default set…
