  1. Ctrl-z/Undo in the Metadata Editor

    Currently, there is no Ctrl-z/Undo function in the Metadata Editor.
    Please add this function.
    Use case:
    A record is in draft mode and the cataloger deletes a field accidentaly, there is no way of bringing it back.
    Or a cataloger works on an exisiting record, makes a lot of changes and only wants to undo the last actions, but not go back to the previous version.

  2. Add the source field to Analytics

    It would be useful to be able to report on the Source field from Resource Sharing requests in the Borrowing Request subject area of Analytics. Then we could analyse the channels that users' Resource Sharing requests are coming in from.

  3. Narrow Withdraw Items job functionality to Physical Items sets

    1. Restrict the Withdraw Items to functioning with Physical Items (barcode) sets. (Currently it will run with sets of Physical Titles and effectively perform as if the job DELETE BIBLIOGRAPHIC RECORDS were run with the “Delete all associated inventory resources” parameter selected.)

    2. Include OCLC number in the Excel Export for Physical Items (currently only Physical Titles sets export with the OCLC number, but those sets function erroneously in the Withdraw Items job)

  4. Add expiry date for "proxy for" users

    In an academic institution, many "proxy for" users will be arranged on a semester or yearly basis, it would be good to have an expiry date so that this permission stops and does not extend into perpetuity.

  5. Display both charges payable and total charges owed.

    At present the main page of a user's account displays the total amount of charges payable, but does not show a total for charges that are still accruing - e.g. fines on books that are currently overdue.

    This would be useful information to see, and could be displayed so:

    Total Owed (Amount Payable): £10.00 (£5.00)

    OR

    Charges Payable: £ 5.00
    Charges Pending: £ 5.00
    Total: £10.00

    Or similar.

  6. Allow staff to override if an item type is not requestable

    We would like some books (like a reference book) to be non-requestable for a student. However, we would like for staff to be able to put in a request on a student's behalf for a reference book, or perform an override when appropriate.

  7. Renewing resource sharing requests

    When changing the date in the borrowing side, we then have to manually change again in manage patron services. It would be great if we could just amend the date once and this information is carried across.

  8. Add a "delete" command in addition to the "withdraw" command

    Currently, when a staff deletes an item record, the person can only use the "withdraw" command, even if the person is deleting an item record created by mistake. Adding an additional Delete command will distinguish the two purposes. We can then pull out WITHDRAW statistics in Design Analytics for the true withdrawn items, and not including the number of item records deleted for purposes of cleaning up data.

  9. Ability to use import profiles on OCLC Connexion exported records

    Currently import profiles can applied to Marc files that are uploaded into Alma. One can use the import profile to specify match methods, tell Alma how to deal with matches of existing and incoming records (overlay, merge, or use NZ record), and also specify inventory info to map the Marc 949 field to holdings and item records. Although the OCLC Connexion integration profile deals with importing records it lacks the features described in the previous sentence.   10. Flag for course reserve loan transactions

    As a possible improvement for the Fulfillment subject area, please consider adding an indicator, much like the In House Loan indicator, to loans made while an item is on course reserve. This would allow us to easily include or exclude loans made for items on reserve in our circulation reports. Currently we exclude by location, but we suspect that this is not a reliable method, in part because the inactive temporary location is still attached to many items.

    A course reserve flag on a loan would also allow us to easily pull circulation counts when reporting on course reserve.

  11. Moving item records to differenent holding records and merging holding records

    Being able to merge holdings records that have been accidentally created. Either that, or moving item records to different holding records, even if the holding records are in the same location, but different call numbers.

  12. Remove "Reading lists - unassigned" from the Tasks panel

    Our Course Reserves > Reading Lists workflow does not include assigning the lists to any particular person. We would like to have unassigned reading lists that are completed removed from the tasks panel.

  14. Expand "Create Physical Items Work Order" job to include work order Status

    The “Create Physical Item Work Orders” job should be expanded to allow users to add work order Status in addition to Type and Department to a set of records. Currently adding Status is a 2nd separate step. After running the job to apply Type and Department, you must then sign into the appropriate Currently At location, Manage In Process Items, and then apply the Work Order Status (limited to one screen of 20 records at a time). Very Inefficient!

  15. Run a "change temporary location indications" job

    This functionnality is currently available only with the "change physical item" that allows change for all item indications. Such a new job would help all librarians to change temporary locations for a set of documents avoiding the risk of errors in other item fields. With that new option, it would be possible to keep the "change physical item" job only available to ILS manager and let all librarians run the "change temporary location indications"

  16. sound alert for task

    Sound Alerts for Pick From Shelf Requests
    Can we please have a sound alert when new "Pick from Shelf" requests arrive as we use this for Reading Room requests which need to be actioned as soon as they arrive. Sound alerts would need to optional.
    It would be good to have these available for other tasks in fulfillment such as when "holds" or "lost books" are returned and another action needs to happen

  17. Ability to select Columns exported via Tools->Excel option

    When in a view or screen with Tools option (for Excel) saving, it would be very helpful to be able to have more contol over the columns output.

    User Roles is a great example. The list does not include the ACTIVE (Y/N) option, yet it is clearly an important piece of information when comparing users or building role templates. A repository search is another example. It has 18 fields pre-selected, however this could prove much more efficient if we could select to add or remove the columns that make the most sense to us prior to saving.

    When paying specific fees by selecting fees from the list of fees, the sum of the selected fees should be calculated and displayed immediately before leaving the list when entering the select button. As of now the sum is displayed only after leaving the list via the select button, which is too late for a correction of the selection.

  19. "A" and "The" are not alphabetical

    When listing items, titles that begin with 'a' or 'the' (the indefinite and definite articles) should not be alphabetized under 'A' and 'T', respectively. They should be alphabetized based on the beginning letter of the first non-article in the title. This is standard practice and it is ridiculous to do otherwise.

  20. Option to set return time to 15 minutes before closing

    We issue equipment such as laptops to students. These must be returned before the library closes.

    In the current TOUs it is only possible to set the due time to closing time. However, we really need to check all equipment is back, and therefore would like to set the due time to 15 mins (or 30mins) before closing.

    We would also do this for short loans, as these require being returned before the library shuts. Otherwise the student will receive fines.

    Changing the closing time of the library would be too confusing for everyone
