  1. Allow a block to be created as part of the 'change to lost' overdue and lost loan profiles.

    We'd like the ability to create a block when an item is made 'lost' as part of the overdue and lost loan profile schedules.

    At the moment we can only add a block on the overdue notification types, which we do for the last overdue notification we send before it becomes considered lost.

    However, as soon as the item is changed to lost by the profile schedule it removes the block automatically created by the overdue notification profile.

  2. Support full SIP2 protocol

    For the communication between selfcheck kiosks and Alma, the SIP2 protocol is needed.
    The full protocol can be found here: https://developers.exlibrisgroup.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/3M-Standard-Interchange-Protocol-Version-2.00.pdf

    Unfortunately, Ex Libris does not support all fields that would be available in the protocol (marked as 'not supported' in this document): https://developers.exlibrisgroup.com/alma/integrations/selfcheck/sip2/

    Please make the whole SIP2 protocol available for Alma.

  3. Correct "Print licence" functionality

    When we print the licenses the order of licence terms is not the same one that appears in Primo and in the Licence terms details.
    We would like to have a print with the same order of the licence terms details or to have the possibility to reorder its as we prefer

  4. Enable additional types of requests via API

    The API documentation for the Create User Requests endpoint notes that "is currently NOT possible to create GENERALDIGITIZATION, MOVE or WORKORDER request." Enabling this functionality would facilitate batch processing of items for various workflows.

  5. URL Checker for Alma

    In the system we were working with before (Innovative's Millennium) we had a tool for checking electronic record URLs called URL Checker, so we could detect URLs that weren't working properly. We suggest that this tool be developed for Alma.

  6. reorder tags / fields in metadata editor mde using drag and drop

    Sometimes repeatable field must be sorted/reordered.
    For example, we have records with many 505 tags that are added overtime and we have to arrange their order so that they are properly displayed in Primo.
    Right now one must copy the content of the tag to move; add a tag in the proper position with indicators etc.; paste the content; delete the source tag. Quite a long and error prone procedure.
    Having the chance to simply drag and drop the fields in the mde to reorder them would be therefore a great enhancement.

  9. Hold Notification letter. With resource sharing, that the notice comes from the library that has the item on hold for pickup.

    Because hold notification come from the lending library that has supplied the item, patrons are confused and do not always open and read the notification for directions. Having the hold notification come from the borrowing library where the item actually is waiting on the hold shelf for pick up would clear up the confusion of who has the item.

  10. Update primary URL and Parser Parameters using Portfolio Loader

    Currently, when using the Portfolio Loader to update links, only the override URL and override Parser Parameters can be updated. It would also be helpful to be able to update the primary URL and primary Parser Parameters using the Portfolio Loader.

  11. E-Resource Activation Task List trigger

    When closing a subscription PO line, associated e-resources are automatically added to the E-Resource Activation Task List to determine whether they need to be deactivated. It would be more useful if this were based on the "subscription to" date in the PO line, rather than happening when the PO line is closed. We often close a subscription order several months before the subscription officially ends, and we don't want to deactivate the portfolio until that end date. But we also don't want to keep them in the task list for months while we want for that subscription end date. The…

  12. Display logic to hide services by user assigned RS library

    Allow Discovery Interface Display Logic rules to hide service Rapido Physical Offer based on user's assigned resource sharing library.

    In our instance, we have one default/generic RS library and several location-based RS libraries. Users are put in the generic RS library by default, then reassigned to a specific RS library depending on where they are enrolled. For example, a patron in Chicago would have the Chicago RS library assigned, while an online patron would still have the generic RS library assigned.

  13. View All Holdings button - place in a prominent position in Receive>Manage Items page

    From the Manage Items page in Alma Acquisitions Receiving, the View All Holdings button is not visible from the Manage Items page. It requires clicking into one individual item and then the button appears in the right-hand panel. This is too many steps down.

  14. Create a "sticky note" widget for individualized staff notes.

    It would be helpful to have a "sticky note" type widget available on the Alma homepage so that staff could record personalized ideas/instructions/reminders to themselves about Alma-specific work.

    The simplest version could just be a plain text box where staff could add/delete text as desired. A fancier version could allow for multiple notes to be created, storing them each with a title and create date and listing them all in the Widget.

    If we get really crazy there could be a setting to enable the user to choose whether the note is a public note (for all other Alma users…

  15. Alma Digital - Collection, Access rights and Representations

    Hello,

    There are a few features that are missing from Alma Digital that we would be happy if they were added:

    1.
    Add the ability to search in the "Title list" of a Digital Collection according to MMS ID, Representation ID and author.
    2.
    Add the ability to make some of the fields "Required". For example, we would like the "Access Rights" to be a required field.

    Add the ability to move a file from one representation to another (just as you can change the holdings of an item).

  16. Webhook for Library Hour Changes

    It would be great if a event could be created that would fire a webhook when a librarys hours change.

    The use case for this is when we use a 3rd party system that pulls hours out of Alma, we want to be able to know the hours have changed and perform a sync sooner than say 72 hours later (or whatever interval) when the outside system refreshes automatically.

    This would be useful when we close do to inclement weather or something, so we could trigger updating our 3rd party system after the hours are updated in Alma.

  17. Lyell Collection Complete MARC record improvement

  18. Authority control for MODS and DC

    My understanding is that authority control is not applied to Dublin Core or MODS metadata (particularly when that metadata is stored and managed in Alma, not as external records). We're interested in controlling name and subject headings in DC or MODS records so that headings are updated when authorities change, and so that these headings appear in Primo browse lists.

  19. E-Resources: Make public note and authentication note translatable

    In the editor of e-collection / service / portfolio, it is possible to set up the public note and authentication note. These are then displayed to the patron in Primo VE in the box with full-text link in view it section.

    Currently it is a simple text box with no translation possibility. In our network we use 4 languages for the UI. Therefore, we require this field to be translatable so the note language adjusts to the patron interface in Primo VE.

  20. SIP2 Kiosks should bundle loan/return notifications to a single notification

    Currently SIP2 connected self service hardware triggers a receipt notification for every single item that is loaned or returned. Would it be possible to package these notifications in to one email after the transaction is finished based on the configuration that it has been conducted on a self service circulation desk?
