Create request: allow requesting of several different descriptions for a title in one request form
In order to make the request flow more efficient it would be beneficial to have an option to request more than one description for a request.
For example, if one wants to move all the DVDs in a multi-volume collection to the reserves currently he needs to go and create a request for each volume. A better solution would be to allow him to select several different descriptions and then in the background split them ionto separate requests.3 votesHello All,

Inventory pane in MD editor
Today in order to see the inventory associated with a bibliographic record in the MD editor I need to actively open a pane on the right hand side.
It will be much more efficient if we can have a persistent pane in metadata editor displaying inventory resources associated with the bibliographic record.4 votesHello All,

SUSHI Account filter and a new filter under the Usage Data tab of the Vendor Details page
Can the SUSHI Account filter under the Usage Data tab of the Vendor Details page list only the SUSHI Accounts that have been used to harvest usage that particular vendor?
Also, I think it would be great if we could filter the usage reports under the Usage Data tab of the Vendor Details page by COUNTER release version (4 vs 5).

Index local in Advanced search
We have a local index with a closed list of values and we would like to present only this list of values to users doing an advanced search.
An example with the local index "Original language" based on the 905 field. This field contains three possible values: Yes, No, Bilingual.
We would like for an advanced search, when the user chooses the Original Language index, to present the closed list that shows three possible values: Yes No Bilingual

Hide library from 'pickup location' options for temporary location move requests
We had an issue where a staff member had chosen an incorrect library for the pickup location for move requests (when putting items on Course Reserves). The library they chose was our Resource Sharing Library (which we don't use at all and so is irrelevant to us in every way). I submitted a case to Support asking if we could somehow hide this library from view in the pickup location options in Alma, but was told that this wasn't possible.
I was advised to create an idea here relating to this problem, so here I am!

Return Expand From Template wide drop-down menu
In the previous metadata editor the drop-down menu of serial patterns was wide enough so that we could see the complete description of each pattern. The new metadata editor cuts off the descriptions so that we must guess which is the correct pattern, and then remove the field and start over if the guess is wrong.

Request for customizing the sorting and enable/disable the template options in the Choose Template dropdown list
The current sorting is starting from public ones followed by private ones, in alphanumeric order respectively.
We hope for being able to toggle enable/disable and customize the ordering of the template optionsFor achieving the above feature, refer to New MDE > New > Templates display configuration
A similar toggle button for each template, similar to the Display in Menu toggle button here, is desired.

Authority linking issue with bibliographic field 240
We'd request that when Alma links up bib field 240 with a uniform title entered in authority record, it should take into account of bibliographic contents in field 240 PLUS field 100 ALTOGETHER, and link these combined contents with uniform titles entered in authority records.
Currently, it links up the uniform title in field 240 only with authority record. So, those generic uniform titles e.g. Works, Poetry, etc. will be ambiguous, and do not have proper linking with their authority records established with author's name.

Allow a default setting for "Assign Inventory Manually".
When several orders for items with existing holdings are being created it would be helpful to be able to have "Assign inventory manually" automatically checked.
This most often occurs with serials when new orders are being created because of a vendor change. We close the old PO in order to preserve the history and create a new one with the new vendor.0 votesHello All,

Import jobs with many serial issues crash
Publishing profiles at the bib level will include all items (in an ITM field with the data specified in the inventory enrichment section of the publishing profile). When trying to import these published files, if bibs for a serial have more than 50-100 items, the import job crashes with the error code like: "Import Job 3833572600004617 External system 3833573620004617 File HUscfmissingbarcode...Split file error error parsing leader with data: 14519cas a2210880 a 450"
The only current solution is to manually edit these files with an XML editor to properly split the files.

Configuration option to default brief citation placement to either Network or Institution
Currently when creating a brief citation for course reserves, the default option is to place the citation in the network zone. It would be better if the default placement was configurable. It's easy to overlook this option and we never want to put our brief citations in the network zone, but end up doing so inadvertently many times.

The Acquisitions tab does not have an indication that there is information on it (dog-eared) like the other tabs. Could this be updated so that this tab accurately reflects when there is additional information on it like the other tabs?

Add "Reading List description" field to Course Reserves and Leganto Instructor Usage/Leganto Student Usage Subject Areas
It would make sense to add the Reading List Description field to Analytics as it is information which is available but missing from the Course Reserves Subject Area, and the Leganto Subject Areas which contain Reading list information. Without this information you cannot really reproduce a list from its constituent data.

Index 049 field.
We tie the OCLC holding library in the 049 closely to our Alma holding locations. Searching the text in the 049 field as keyword is quicker than an advanced search. If the idea below to allow free text searching of all MARC fields and subfields is implemented it would cover this request.

Trials - table & report for Purchase Decision field
For the Purchase Decision field in a Trial we would like to have -
1/ Ability to add new Purchase Decisions via a table similar to other areas of Alma. At the moment only options are Yes or No
2/ Be able to run a report (or filter) on this field so we can take to collection development meetings if Purchase Decision was, for example, Future Purchase

Identification of Reply vs Response in Communication tab of POL
It would be useful to be able to easily identify a Reply vs a Response when looking at all of the 'Answers' associated with a Communication in a POL. Perhaps an arrow could indicate which direction the communication occurred ? e.g. an arrow pointing to the left ('out') if it is a Reply from us to the vendor, or an arrow pointing to the right ('in') if it is a Response from the vendor. Enable institutions to set a maximum daily API call limit per application
As customers to the Alma and Primo APIs we are bound by the limits of our maximum number of calls per day. Some of our applications make up the majority of our API calls, for example, those from our student portal which call on Alma every time a student logs in.
To help us avoid hitting our daily API limit it would be useful for us to be able to set our own maximum call limit per application. So for example, we could set the limit for calls from the staff portal to a lower figure than of the student…
