Hi,
An approach we’ll be looking at is that an optional ‘Last Interest Period’ request policy will, if set, be used to set a default the last interest date (Primo and Alma). This way every request will have a last interest date set by the policy and overridable by the patron.

Dear all,
I believe we now understand the requirement better: To be able to paste a block of text in MARC 21 format, and have Alma parse it and populate the MARC tags, indicators and subfields accordingly.
This is a larger development, but we hope to be able to add a solution for it to our future roadmap.

We have added it to our plan. We will share more details as part of the design phase
An error occurred while saving the comment Karen Abel commentedWe're glad this work is planned. We would also like to add that we have found the 'Browse Shelf List' function in the MD Editor impossible to work with for call number searching. It is extremely small; only displays approx 10 call numbers per page; we have to keep scrolling through the pages (it doesn't list the number of pages you are scrolling through so you don't know how much there is to check, all that displays is < > arrows and there is no number to indicate how many holdings have that call number overall).
We would like the ability to search call numbers in a compact view (that can be expanded to show more information) - to quickly browse what is at that location to help with classification choice and to be able to see the call numbers around the call number searched for.
Also, ensure call numbers are filed in numerical order on Alma and that there is an 'exact call number' search that brings back that exact call number only.
In response to Itai...
Though this is the case when working solely on existing internal MARC records within Alma, it is not currently possible to copy multiple MARC fields from external MARC records that have been found using 'search resources' (i.e. searching for external MARC records from WorldCat and Jisc Library Hub Cataloguing etc.). This is when the ability to copy multiple MARC fields from external MARC records is often essential to quickly enhance internal MARC records.
