  1. Bulk Assignment

Rialto ebook orders immediately get imported to the Electronic Resources task list with no assignment. If you need to assign these tasks to a user, you must assign each ebook to the user one by one. It would be much easier to have a bulk assignment option to select all/some ebooks from the task list and assign to one user (e.g. E-Resource Technician or Acquisitions Librarian) all at once.

  2. Separate finalizing stage from Purchase Request form page with confirmation message and link to create new request

Currently, the finalizing stage is completed on the same page as the rest of the form. However, I believe it would be more effective if the message of finalization appeared on a different, separate page, where the patron doesn't see the request fields. This separation would provide a clearer distinction between the completion of the form and the finalization process.

Additionally, I recommend adding a link in the finalizing stage page, that allows the user to create a new Purchase Request.

I believe these enhancements would improve the user experience and make the process more transparent and user-friendly.

  3. Improved cover image display in results list and offer details

While it is nice to have cover images for titles on the results list and offer details, it would be useful to be able to view a larger version of the thumbnail in display. (This type of pop out/over display is common with most book vendor websites.) Some book covers are very detailed and the details aren't all easily reflected in the associated offer's display, so being able to see a larger view of the cover may help with identification and selection. Currently, clicking on the cover image thumbnail in the results list brings up the offer, and clicking on…

  4. Enable authentication on purchase request web form

The customization options on the purchase request web form are great, but we cannot use it until the requestor can authenticate. We need to know who they are.

At present they appear as "Guest" in the request. An accident waiting to happen - when we update the requester to the wrong person.
Also we would only want this service available to institutional members, and would want to avoid mischievous use by unknown persons.

  5. Export Feed to Title Alert

Please add the ability to save or export a Feed as a Title Alert. Building a Feed and Title Alert are very similar, and it would save our staff time if they could export an existing Feed to a Title Alert.

  6. Add shelving location to the market query builder

This could be a neat feature, useful for example to find ebook offerings for print books within a certain location.

  7. Blocking Titles Meeting Certain Criteria from Rialto Searches/Recommendation Feeds

It would be very helpful if Rialto administrators could completely block titles from appearing in Rialto searches, selector recommendation tools, etc. if they meet certain predefined criteria. The use case is when a library purchases complete annual ebook collections from publishers and does not want to risk duplicate purchasing. Administrators could create a "block profile" with specific publisher and year criteria and then apply it across all of Rialto so selectors don't see these titles when searching or reviewing recommendation feeds.

  8. Blu-Ray filters for region code

When searching for Blu-Ray offers, the facet panel does not allow the user to filter by region code. Thus, purchases could be mistakenly made for discs that cannot be played in the customer's region.

DVDs, on the other hand, do appear to have a filterable field. Example, "DVD Region 1" or "Region 2"

  9. Market or Marketplace or Market Place?

Please be consistent in terminology. Is it Market or Marketplace? In Rialto the label is Market, however in other places, including the Idea Exchange, it's listed as Marketplace or Market Place.

  10. Purchase details link from Market search offer list

In reviewing an offer list and we see an entry with the flag Purchased in Rialto, how about configuring that button to go directly to the purchase details for this purchase in our Order History?

  11. Make Ordering Library in Rialto Default

The 'Ordering Library' field in Rialto maps to the 'PO Line Owner' field in the POL. All of our PO Lines are owned by a single location, Technical Services. We would like to have the ability to set the 'Ordering Library' field in Rialto as a default or at minimum request that this field be sticky. Also, the terminology 'Ordering Library' is often confused with shelving location which is not the same for our institution. Rialto requires the user to set the 'Ordering Library' for every order placed; since the 'Ordering Library' is always the same for our institution it…

  13. Include "material type" as an option when creating cart template

  14. Please provide a feed of new purchased Rialto titles in Primo

We would like to highlight new SELECTED (i.e., not subscribed to) titles for faculty and staff to see in Primo.

Preferably this would be automated directly from our Rialto purchases.

  15. Display fund code as well as fund in order history

In Order History (including Excel export), include option to display/filter by Fund Code, in addition to Fund. We have multiple cases where a single fund supports multiple fund codes (e.g., endowed fund split across multiple subject funds), often assigned to a single selector. Rialto's purchase details in the order history don't show the specific fund code used, making it especially tough to keep track of remaining balances while those orders await approval.

  17. Continuous, dynamic DDA deduping based on Alma holdings

Currently, if a book is in our DDA pool, and then we acquire it in another Alma collection, the book remains in our DDA pool (allowing us to trigger a book we already have) unless we follow a tedious manual process for identifying and removing such books from the DDA pool. This enhancement would make it so our Alma holdings "talk back" to LibCentral, so if we get a new book, and if that book is in our DDA pool, it is automatically removed from the DDA pool in Rialto, Ebook Central/LibCentral, and in the Alma repository. This would reduce the…

  18. Automatically remove titles that no long meet DDA Selection Plan criteria from Rialto DDA pool, Ebook Central/LibCentral and Alma repository

When a DDA title increases in cost so it exceeds the maximum cost we set for our DDA, it becomes untriggerable and inaccessible on the Ebook Central platform, but the title remains in our DDA pool in Rialto and our Alma holdings, so users can find the title in Primo but cannot access it. Removing these titles requires a cumbersome manual workflow. This enhancement would make it so titles that no longer meet our DDA selection plan criteria are removed from our DDA pool automatically in Rialto, Ebook Central/LibCentral, and in the Alma repository. This would ensure users don't discover inaccessible…

  19. Better publisher filters in Rialto query builder

It is difficult to exclude publishers from a DDA pool due to poor filter design in Rialto. The filters rely on keyword matching rather than controlled values. This allowed unwanted publishers' books to enter our DDA pool, and the removal process was tedious and highly error prone, taking months to complete. Rialto needs better publisher filtering so unwanted publishers do not enter the DDA pool at all. One possibility is that publisher names could be a controlled vocabulary selected via a dropdown menu. This would ensure that unwanted publishers are excluded from libraries' selection plans. This would also eliminate the…

  20. Sort by date added for lists

I think it would be nice to be able to sort lists by the date the item was added to the list. In other words, have a "most recently added" sort.
