  1. Using "Leganto student usage" and noticed that some reading lists/Courses do not appear in this report.

    We created a Leganto report with the subject area "Leganto student usage" and noticed that some reading lists do not appear in this report.
    We assume that this is because there has not been any student interaction with these lists but there is nothing about this in knowledge center documentation.
    We have been having to run separate analytics reports to get all the data we need it.
    It would be nice to be able to use the Leganto Student Usage criteria to gather statistics on ALL the reading lists, courses and citations, regardless if they’ve been used or not.

  2. Add the ability to detach citations from the repository in bulk

    E-resource records regularly change and as a library we have to de-activate and suppress electronic records because they have been withdrawn from a platform or they have migrated from one platform to another. We also subscribe to packages where content regularly drops in and out.

    If a citation record is associated with inventory that has been withdrawn, we may need to re-link it to an alternative version of the record that is active. The process and enrich citations tool can locate resources in bulk across multiple resource lists, but it only picks up citations that have been detached from the…

  3. More control over the description field for rollover lists

    Some of our institutions have used the list description field to write year-specific information. This is an issue when the list is rolled over and the information for the previous semester is still visible.

  4. Publish_default_mode needs to developed to allow different processes dependent on set criteria

    Situation - Currently we are trying to make the majority of our reading lists open access. However, due to departmental and copyright issues. We cant make all lists open access. Therefore, we currently have Publishdefaultmode set to All Students Full. Which means staff manually run sets on a daily basis to find readings lists that have been published and are not from two specific academic departments and run a bulk reading list job to change them to All Students Full, Anyone Restricted.

  5. Make the copyright approval "Number of students" field be a number

    Currently in Analytics, if a citation is associated with multiple courses then the "Citation Copyright"."Number of Students" field displays as eg "20;22;0". Ie it lists the number of students in each course, as a text field, rather than giving the total 42 as a number.

    This is effectively useless. Our copyright reporting requires the total number. And for statistical purposes I might want to multiply the number of students by the number of pages on a citation, which I can't do with a text field.

  6. implement SSO via Microsoft Azure for Leganto so that our Brightspace users do not have to logon via ezproxy when on an off-campus PC.

    Our Brightspace users have already logged on via our university portal which uses Microsoft Azure SSO. From within Brightspace, they access the Leganto reading list where they click on Primo links to our subscribed resources. We use OCLC-hosted ezproxy to authenticate users when they click a link from the library website but when users have already authenticated into Primo or Brightspace via Azure, there is no need for them to be prompted a second time via ezproxy.   8. Display more course details when pushing to Leganto from Primo

    Instructors often teach the same subjects which are rolled over each new semester. This results in a long list of indistinguishable lists in the Push to Leganto feature since it only displays the list name.

    Please provide configuration options for displaying course details alongside the list name, including course code, term and year. Institutions should be able to decide which of these course details to display in the Push to Leganto feature.

  9. Display the "Resource Sharing Request" in a Network environment

    We belong to a Network. In Leganto we can configure the search and add citations using the Network scope. In this case, when the teacher adds citations from records that belong to another member of the network in Leganto, in the citation availability space, no option is shown. We would like it to show
    the "Resource Sharing Request" just like in the Primo interface.

  10. Complete change log for reading lists

    Our Instructors are in need of a feature that allow them to retrieve/view a complete change log for reading lists.

    The feature ‘View recent changes’ is somewhat similar, but the feed currently only display changes made by others - not your own. It would be great if this feature were expanded to include all changes made on a list.

    Being able to review all changes made to a reading list is not only useful for monitoring a list, it is also an important collaboration tool – primarily with fellow Instructors, but also e.g. when reviewing course material changes with faculty…

  11. Course Management System support for 2U

    One of our schools use the 2U Course Management system (https://2u.com/) but currently there is no integration available with Leganto, so our School of Education is doing their own course reading lists instead of using Leganto. Ideally, we want the school to use Leganto like the other schools do with D2L so that the reading lists are all managed within Alma.

  12. Include text of Library Discussion Note in Leganto Detailed Notifications Letter

    Could the actual text of the Library Discussion Note be included for Instructors when they receive a Notification that there is an outstanding Library Discussion via the Leganto Detailed Notifications Letter.

    Currently, the Letter only tells the Instructor that there is a Library Discussion waiting for them. They then need to log-in to Leganto to see what it is. Providing the text would enable the Instructor to determine whether they need to log-in to Leganto and action something in the list or not, and would bring the letter in line with other email notifications e.g. service desk messages, where they…

  13. Display whether citation appears on another list

    Previously there was a feature that displayed whether a citation existed on another reading list, with some limited functionality, e.g. only displaying if the other list was also on your My Lists page and the citation was an Alma repository item. This feature was taken away by Product Management in January 2022. We have received feedback from instructors that they would like to know when a citation is in use on any other list at the institution, including those not taught by them and where courses are not currently active (but lists are Published).   14. Allow subsections

    It would be helpful to allow the creation of subsections within each section. For example, I have a reading list and the sections are labeled Module 01, etc. In the syllabus, the instructor has 6-7 readings that say "choose one or two of these". This can be added as a public note on those specific readings, but it would be nice to have the option to create a subsection within that module instead - or some other way to group those readings together.

  15. Enable set-creation for citations, reading lists, and courses

    At the moment, creating sets for Leganto to run jobs on is a pain - contratry to other indices in Alma you can't just click 'Save Query' and then run a job on the set.
    No, you have to create a list either from an Excel export or Analytics and then create an itemized set from it.

    This is extremely annoying because you have to create a new input list and a new set every time you need to run a job.

  17. Enable tags generated by questions to set item status

    Currently the "revert_citation_status_by_adding_tags" options have no effect on citations that are tagged as a result of a question. This is because when the instructor answers the question and clicks "Confirm", first the tags are added, and then the citation is actually created.

    Our use case is that if the instructor selects a certain answer, we want to apply a tag and based on that tag apply an automatic citation status ReadyForProcessing to ensure it appears in the tasklist for library staff.

    When an instructor creates a new course from Moodle, the start and end date of the course is the same and it coincides with the course creation date.

  19. Better interoperability – add a new symbol in Alma as an indication when an attachment is hidden in Leganto

    We use the Leganto citation ‘Hide link’ feature to hide attachments from the Student view.

    As UNSW process reading lists in Alma, it will be helpful if there is a symbol to indicate the attachment is hidden so we don’t have to select the "View in Leganto" for each citation to check whether the attachment is hidden or not.

    We manually add a tag to show if an attachment is hidden, but it is not practical.

    It will be even better if the ‘Hide link’ option is available in Alma, in addition to Leganto.
