  1. Terms of use. Move "accept" to the right

    Terms of use.
Based on user experience, the "Accept" option should be on the right side of the screen (and now it is on the left) and the "Reject" option on the left (now on the right).
    Can you move them, please?

  2. User ability to create tile folders

After a series of focus groups with approximately 20 students, a common request was for the ability to organize content in a personalized way by creating ad-hoc folders of tiles. So, in the Arrange function, you could tap and hold on a tile, drag on top of another, and create a new folder that you can name based on the contents. Currently, content menus are the closest thing to this, and those are statically created by the admin and are not modifiable by the user (aside from hiding/showing the content menu tile).

  3. Greater range of tolerances for geo-location verification

Rather than the existing three tolerances (50m, 250m and 500m) for verifying attendance check-ins by geo-locations, allow more fine grained control. This could be done by either allowing an institution to specify an exact value (e.g. "123m") or by extending the existing tolerances so their is one for every 50m between 500m and 50m.

This will allow institutions with different campus layouts and building density to more accurately verify attendance check-ins.

  4. Beacon and Proximity Sensors for Campus

Beacon & Proximity sensors will allow us to intentionally place the beacon throughout campus to prompt a service center or unfulfilled action that a student may need to take. since we have 100% of our students using the CampusM app, I would ideally like this to be the engine that powers using the in app prompts and audience specific tiles.

  5. Option to display the room description alongside the name in the timetable

In both the timetable and attendance tile it would be nice to enhance the display of the room number by optionally including the room description as already recorded in the position data.

So rather that just saying: TT0111
It might say TT0111 (Graphics Lab)

  6. Attendance Check-in: Check-in not required not visible on check-in screen

If Attendance Exclude flag deems attendance at a class is not required. This should be reflected on the Check-in screen. Currently the only way a student knows a check-in is not required is on history tab.

Either student should not be able to check-in if not required to, or check-in not required should be displayed on check-in screen.

Note: also currently records check-in as invalid when checking in to a class where check-in not required.

  7. Product Integration (Events) - Improvements

Currently you have to select an initial filter (if enabled), then a date and campus filter (if enabled) to view events. It would be better if the date was not mandatory to display events - but as a date filter within the list of events.

The current search functionality within events is limited to the filter(s) and date selected. An improvement for this would be to allow searching across all filters and dates.

Lastly, the event list and event details views could be improved:

Events list - in addition to the current information displayed it would be good to also…

  8. Allow unvalidated students a second chance to check-in

If a student does an attendance check-in but it is marked as unvalidated then allow them a second chance to check-in.

This would allow students who have accidentally attempted to check-in whilst still walking to the class room another opportunity to have a valid check-in as well as possibly overcoming local issues with a room which might prevent a successful check-in

  9. Notifications - Transform message to audio file alongside original text

Just having a discussion around the possibility for students to choose to listen to the content of any notifications rather than read them. Perhaps especially helpful for the quick change to rooms and emergency situations.

Students usually have their earbuds in and a ping and voice message (even computer generated) may be a better option for the situation rather than having to pull the phone-out and retrieve /read the message.

  11. 'Pop-up' notifications when a user selects a tile

It would be great if we could utilise 'pop up' notifications when a user selects a specified module/tile. These messages could appear and act as a prompt for users. They can act as a prompt, and advertising tool, or even just a temporary messaging service. Please see the screen recording of a different app that utilises it and how well it can work. The software company that I have worked with (from the screen recording) also allows the functionality whereby you can chose to allow the pop up to be visible either for a set period of time and/or for…

  13. Set geo-location validation by rooms rather an institution wide

Rather than the exiting method of validating geo-location attendance check-ins via a single institution-wide value for tolerance, instead allow this tolerance to be set on a room-by-room basis (with perhaps a default value where no value is supplied).

This would allow institutions greater ability to adapt the geo-location validation for their campus buildings.

  14. After logged in Tile rearranging according to the screen size breaks spacial memory

After logged into my.monash, the tiles rearranging itself based on the screen size its a cool teh demo however it it breaks people's spacial memory. A break-point based solution might be better.
Suggestion to have:Defined break points by main device types e.g. desktop, laptop, iPhone. See icloud.com's design: 5 or 7 icons across. No more. No less.

  15. One time code - earlier tutor access

For attendance one time codes to be available to tutors 48 hours before the class. We are getting a lot of pushback from academics who each the first hour of the day and they are struggling to get the one time code alongside everything else they have to do

  16. Ad-Hoc Tile Resize

After a series of focus groups with approximately 20 students, a common request was for the ability to resize tiles (width/height) themselves. Currently tile size is statically configured from the admin side, but students would like ability to resize certain tiles in an ad-hoc manner depending on what they personally prioritize (more specifically than what is determined by role).

  17. Add events integrations to menu search or add search function to events integration

We would like to see that the main menu search function, which currently only returns tiles and pages as search results, also returns events contained within event integration tiles. The alternative is adding a search function to the events integration itself. We feel that giving users the ability to search for events based on keywords in the title/description/tags would be really useful for improving their experience.

  18. Attendance Check-in: Include native app version in data

Append the native app version to the set of data sent as part of a check-in attempt. Attendance check-in is by far the area of the app that generates the most calls to us, and that we subsequently need to raise with ExLibris. We are always asked by E.L. what version of the native app the student is using. We can only get this by asking the student. If it was included in the check-in attempt we would immediately know.

  19. Lecturer View of attendance history by student

Currently Lecturer needs to go into each class to view a students history. It would be very useful to also provide a view by student, so they can see an individual students history in one view.

  20. The logon box should have a hyperlink to password reset/recover function for the host institution.

It is fairly typical to have a link to password reset functionality underneath login boxes, "Click here to reset/recover your password"
