How can we improve campusM?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Choose animation type for banner tile

    Currently, there is only one animation type for the banner tile: a slide animation with an elastic ease-in-out easing function. It would be nice to have multiple easing functions to choose from for the slide animation (https://easings.net/) as well as other options such as a crossfade or fade-in-out animation.

  3. Platform-specific Notifications

    Allow more customization within push notifications, for example only send to specific platforms or device. Same types of parameters available within Menu item (tile) overrides.

  4. Take photo of Student at time of check in

    As an admin, I want a setting that allows me to turn on ' take student photo' . This will then require the student to take a head shot when marking attendance

    Suggestion to have logged in after added to home screen.

  6. Add sitemap.xml file to root domain

    Have the ability to add an XML-formatted sitemap to the relevant site's root domain, e.g. institution-beta.ombiel.co.uk/sitemap.xml. This will allow the beta version (or which ever version of the app you add the sitemap to) of our app to be crawled and audited for accessibility adherence.

  7. Ablity to use an image as the app or profile background

    Currently you can only specify solid colour as app or profile background. We would like to use a subtle image or at very least a gradient.

  8. Email Verification or profiles

    When the user registers on the app, they are taken into the App directly without having the identity of the user being verified. We need to have an Email verification feature, and ensure that all secure features within a profile is shown only when the email is verified.

  9. Improve the grid layout scaling when switching from wider screen

    The forced margin causes some bad scaling for the grid layout switching from a wider screen to a narrower one.

    This will relate to using "standard" window size break points via media selectors in CSS. We observed that you are using Bootstrap (version 2.x no less).

    Without switching to an alternate means of layout (JS) or setting up media selectors at ridiculous levels (every 10px), would it be possible to rethink the margin settings around the 490px to ~900px range.

  10. Allow the side navigation to display on Mobile

    As a student, I would like to be able to access the side navigation on mobile so that I can have a seamless experience across both web and mobile

    This is intended for any user and allows a user to access the side navigation on mobile in a familiar format to the side navigation on the web. The familiarity allows users to find what they're looking for without needing to know the name of content and using the search feature.

    I'm imagining a similar swipe feature to the 'recents' menu which is accessible when swiping from the left on android.
