  1. Add a checkbox to the Resource Sharing form to show errors when searching

    Our institution feels it would be beneficial to have a checkbox on the resource sharing form that allows a patron to select if they encountered an error when searching for an article/book. Often there are articles that will not open or maybe link to the wrong item. We want the patron to be able to let the library staff know they encountered a problem and are now requesting the text via ILL. This allows library staff to easily see what information the patron was trying to access and then troubleshoot why they were not able to access it.

  2. Reserve a Study Place

    We would like to give to the patrons the possibilty to reserve a study place, As a user could reserve a seat for the cinema we would like to give to the patron the possibility to reserve a seat in our library

  3. Improve filtering when searching in Journals

    When we try to filter by year for a journal with multiple locations, it goes to a screen that doesn't contain the filtered year. The search can end up looping back and forth, and one ends up having to click to find more items rather than getting to the year requested.   4. Make users more aware of results found in other search profile slots/ tabs

    In most Primos, users can search in different search profile slots (Primo VE) or tabs (Primo with a BO), e.g. Library Catalogue, PCI, Everything. However, our users do not switch a lot between the different slots/tabs. The majority performs the whole session in the same slot/tab. In order to make the users more aware of the different slot/tabs and the different content in them, we suggest that on top of the results list the number of results in every defined slot/tab should be displayed.   5. Reinstate asterisk wild card search

    We used to be able to use an asterisk (*) for searching in advanced search combined with other pre-search filters such as language or material type. This was great for finding all titles in a particular language or all titles in a particular format. This has been removed. Please bring it back!

  6. Edit Labels of Primo Saved Items

    It would be good to change the text of an existing label(s) used on saved items.

    For instance to be able to change a label from "ethics" to "research ethics".

  7. Ability to move search by voice or add more space between the three buttons

    It would be useful to be able to move the "search by voice" function or expand the space between it and other buttons. As currently it is too close to the submit search button and cancel search button. Meaning that students and staff sometimes click on this accidently. It would be useful to be able to move this or make the spaces between these three items a bit larger. So these accidently clicks didn't keep happening.

  9. have citations/cited by appear at cluster level record

    The Citation Trail feature is great, but I'm afraid many users will miss it because they click on an item in search results that is a merge record for a "FRBR" cluster of articles from different sources. The citation/cited by doesn't apear on those. Since the user can get to the resources from the Online tab in this record, they are not likely to click on View All Versions. This is such a cool feature it's a shame to miss it, and it's the article that gets cited, not a particular aggregator's version of it.

  10. Add filter to eliminate items already pinned from search results

    Provide a filter that would eliminate items that are already 'pinned' from the search results so that when people have many items pinned and they search on their topic, they have the ability to view only the items they haven't already pinned.
    (Our graduate students really like the pinning feature.)

  11. Would it be possible to add an icon or facet in the search filters for open source?

    I am trying to encourage the use and teach with open source materials. If these materials could be easy to spot and/or sorted for it would greatly facilitate their use and knowledge that they exist.

  12. Highlight OCR text within image in Viewer, not just in full text field

    Digital representations seen in the Alma-D Viewer, accessed through Primo, are often PDFs with OCRed text. These items have a "Full Text" field with this text displayed with the item's metadata in the side pane, and using a browser's "CTR+F" function will highlight results for a searched word, but this functionality would be helpful if it also extended to highlighting the word in the image as well. In dense newspapers, for example, the user may find the needed word in the block of full text, but he would then need to examine the image carefully to track down the instance…

    e-shelf indication that items have been copied to clipboard ready for pasting. There is no indication available and when copying large amounts of items it is unclear as to whether they have been added to the clipboard or not so the user cannot tell when it is time to paste.

  15. Change the record ID methods for Tags and Basket

    For Tags and Basket, the records ID is the dedupmrg number for merged records. We want to use the individual record ID for the group.
    This will ensure that records will allways be pointing on the right record even the all records are deleted and reloaded. The dedupmrg number is different whe we reload all records.

  17. different treatment/table would be allowed for different citation style.

    Different treatment/table would be allowed for different citation formats. Because different citation format require different elements for citation.
    For example, currently, the series titles is mapping in citation mapping table. However, not all citation style require this field.

    Chicago, the series title, if exists, may choose to include in the citation. Disable the series title means that series title will be missing for all citations in Chicago format. If we don't disable the series titles mapping, the citation output of APA & MLA are incorrect. Allow different citation mapping table with different citation style would improve the citation output result.

  19. BX "Hot articles" is not (yet) in the NUI

    It's not the most used function, but still had a respectable 5'000 hits in 2017. We'd like to have it when we change to the NUI in a few weeks, but apparently, it is not yet planned.

  20. User management - Admin User can make a default "Patron has institutional record" as "Yes" or "No"

    There is no possibility for an Admin User to set up the external or internal user account to be a default value (in "Patron has institutional record" as "Yes" or "No"). As we mostly create user accounts for our organization, we would like to have "Yes" as a default value. The settings update is currently considered as enhancement.
