Make Title Search in Journals A-Z Left-Anchored
When we search for a title such as "Science" or "Nature" in the current A-Z journal list, the search is not left-anchored and thus finding titles of this kind involves scrolling through several pages of results.

Virtual Browse Improvements
We see great value in Primo’s virtual browse and would like to see it improved. As more libraries move physical collections offsite it is critical to provide comparable discovery and browse experiences in our online environments.
First, we would like to be able to embed the virtual browse into other places like our own library website or Springshare’s Libguides. This would increase visibility and usage of the virtual browse.
Second, we would like the user to be able to start a virtual browse by using a keyword or call number search.
Third, we would like the virtual browse to support…

Permalinks as real persistent URI's for digital objects
Add an option to present permalinks for digital objects as real system independent permanent identifier URI's to the digital object itself.
The term "permalink" is misleading. Current permalinks are not persistent links. They link to Primo records and they only work as long as the institution offers Primo. And then Primo BO permalinks do not work for Primo VE, if the library did not use Alma before.
For digital objects, the users are really only interested in the links to the actual object. So it would be better if permalinks would use existing persistent identifier URI's, like DOI's (available for…

Fix the RIS file export
Many Primo Alma customers have had to add additional display fields in Primo to enable correct export of Multiple authors and Publishers to a RIS file for Refworks or other Bibilographic tools.
Please can this be fixed for everyone? I am attaching our Refworks mapping file as an example.

Aleph patron setting - "force change password at the first login" in Primo (Privacy and security of personal data)
Aleph doesn't have a Parameter or a flag on the patron record to "force the Password change at the first Login". This is a security Problem, related GDPR and privacy of personal data. Users must be force to change their Password at the first Login. Please consider implementing this Feature in Aleph.

"Guide Me" in Primo
I would like to suggest to add “Guide Me” also in Primo for library users, as it exists already in Alma for library staff.
Most of the libraries would like to have some guides for Primo users about different useful functions. The built-in option of “Guide Me” that the user will receive during his search in Primo can be very useful. This “Guide Me” can be Generic (written by Ex Libris) and include an edit option which will allow the Librarian to edit it.
Examples where it can be relevant: 1. Expand these results. 2. Advanced search. 3. Related articles…14 votes -
Improve Misleading Links/Terminology in Results
The prominent "Use Get It To Request" link on results with multiple versions, in the case where another version is an immediately available local copy, is not a good thing to have displayed.
We have also noticed the new interface offers direct "Online access" links from the results page (even with direct linking deactivated) which arbitrarily lead to what can be one of several possible destinations, each with different date coverage ranges. So in the case of embargoed content, for example, a user can be misled to think current access is unavailable.

Ability to sort/filter according to item status within the new user interface
When viewing holdings of a physical record in the full record display of the new Primo UI only five items/copies display by default. If a client would like to view all copies they have to click the "Show more items" link. We have received feedback that clients often do not use or even see the “Show more items” link and tend to only look at the status of the five copies that are displayed by default rather then click through to view all copies. This becomes problematic when all five copies that display on the full record by default are…

"Feedback Tool" for the New Primo UI: possibility to define the e-mail field as a mandatory field
We have been using the feedback tool for a few weeks now and have unfortunately received many requests where the users did not provide an e-mail address.
As a result, we have no way to ask a question or explain the reported behaviour (as it is correct). Therefore, we would be glad if the e-mail field can be defined as a mandatory field in the Primo back office.
A user can of course still enter a fake e-mail address, but then this is a deliberate action.Thank you in advance!

Title search be split to differentiate between article title and publication title
Whilst doing a title search the results are often skewed by publication titles being included in the results lists.

Allow Lateral Links to Perform a Browse Search
Our library consortium would like to have the links in the details section of the record display bring the user to the browsable index. That way, if a record has a subject of "Library catalogs", the user would get a list of clickable subject headings with subdivisions so as to either find more records with the same subject or records with a more narrow focus:
Library catalogs
Library catalogs and readers [see Library catalogs and users]
Library catalogs and users
Library catalogs and users--Australia--PErth (W.A.)
Library catalogs and users--Bibliography.
Library catalogs and users--Case studies.
Library catalogs and users--Congresses

Expand quick in-browser "citation" styles to match those in Summon "cite this item"
Expand the quick in-browser "citation" tool to have the same expanded styles list available in the Summon "cite this item" tool.
Allow sites to include their own local styles through the administration back end.
Undergraduate students, particularly 1st years, often want to be able to just grad a quick citation from the interface in the style they need, not have to deal with Endnote or one of the other reference management tools.

Remove or de-emphasize reference entries in Primo Central results
I was told by someone at Ex Libris that the only way to get rid of "Reference entries" (such as a single word definitions from a dictionary, or an encyclopedia entry) showing up at the top of search results, would be to de-activate the subscription to the source item (the dictionary).
This is upsetting. If you happen to subscribe to several encyclopedias and dictionaries that reference a term, the "Reference Entry" items multiply and crowd out the books and articles, which is probably what users are searching for.
We should be able to set the results ranking level for these…

Add citation capabilities to the email function
The email and citation functions should not be exclusive of each other. Users are used to emailing themselves citations from databases and other library systems. Please add citation capabilities to the email function, so that a citation can be included in the email sent.

Provide option to 'View All' authors in the author facet
After performing a search, users sometimes want to filter by an author that does not appear in the top 20 most frequently returned. We would like to provide users with the option to view and browse all authors returned in the search results. A 'View All' link at the base of the facet could be added to enable this.

Harvard referencing (key for UK market for Alma and Primo)
Harvard is the most widely used referencing system in the UK. yet Primo cannot do it. Please make Harvard available asap as we are being forced to change from Summon which has this capability.

Option to request multiple volumes
Currently, users who wish to request multiple volumes of a set or journal must submit individual requests for each volume. In practice, though, users frequently want multiple volumes. Our institution has the bulk of our collection in remote storage, so we get a lot of requests of this nature. I would love to see a checkbox option in Primo where users could check off all of the items they want, rather than submitting a separate request for each. Obviously this would need to send the appropriate request to Alma or whatever other system people might be using; I understand that…
