Permit creation of a stable URL that would lead to a simple search with all records limited by any facets, e.g., location.
We'd like to create stable links to entire collections for use on our website, guides and course shells. For example, a link that leads to all records with a given location.
This is currently possible for Advanced Search with a pre-filter. But users are distracted by Advanced Search's space and complexity, which pushes the results down the page. And if there are multiple languages or material types, the pre-filters would be overly restrictive.

Show both in-text and reference citation formats for APA 7
With version 7 of the American Psychological Association (APA 7) citation format, there are two formats: one for in-text and one for reference citations.
The first (in-text) is to be used within the body of the text; the second (reference) is to be used in a bibliography.

It looks like when Primo uses the Citation Style Language (CSL) Repository (https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles) to add styles, it only picks up the In-text format citation from the APA 7 definition on the CSL…

The BibTex export from Primo does not include the DOI. Would it be possible to add the doi field? I know doi isn't a standard field in Bib

Several items in a single request
In the current context of global health crisis and containment, many of our libraries can only offer Click&Collect service for physical documentation access. Then, it seems critical to make the request service evolve in Primo (and Alma for the tracking).
Indeed, a reader who wants to request several documents must do so one by one from the bibliographic record by selecting the "pickup location", possibly a "start date", an "end date" and a "comment".
Couldn't you consider the possibility of creating a basket and then being able to request the entire basket at once?

See the current Request placed page display attached. Add “Request another item”, “Check current requests” and “Close” options to the “Request placed” page that displays after a Primo Resource Sharing request has been placed. Also, add the ability to customise the link text, add explanatory text and generally customise the page. Our clients sometimes need to create several requests at the same time. In Primo, readers often can not distinguish the difference of the book and the attachment of the book(ex: CD-ROM). So readers often request the barcode number of the attachment of the book first wrongly, and then find that they really want to request the book instead of the attachment of book(CD-ROM). Transformation routine to convert number range to list
Have a transformation routine that will convert a range of numbers to a list. For example
input: 3-8
output: 3,4,5,6,7,8This would be very helpful in the search section, as users often search for a series and volume number, but if the series number is in a range they won't find it. E.g., this search will fail

Label distribution per row
In consortial environment there is the option to distibute labels from the Network to the Institutions. At the moment the distribution is only possible per table. In case a table is updated by functionality, the distribution deletes the displayed labels.
We would like to have the option to distribute labels per row: this would give the possibility to the Institutions to receive the updates from the Network avoiding overwriting issues and increase the possibility to distribute a label in case a table has been customized locally.47 votes -
Index local in Advanced search
We have a local index with a closed list of values and we would like to present only this list of values to users doing an advanced search.
An example with the local index "Original language" based on the 905 field. This field contains three possible values: Yes, No, Bilingual.
We would like for an advanced search, when the user chooses the Original Language index, to present the closed list that shows three possible values: Yes No Bilingual

Support of CRediT - the Contributors Role Taxonomy within the article and local indexes
120 journals are now fully supporting this NISO standard (NISO Z39.104-2022) for authorship and roles (https://www.niso.org/standards-committees/credit). We believe this emerging standard will allow additional search functionality for authors who have played different roles within the construction of the scholarly article. Over 50 publishers have adopted this taxonomy across their publications (Elsevier, etc.)

Publish synonym list for hosted non-VE customers in Primo documentation
It was announced in the Primo mailing lists during August 2021 that the list of synonyms for Primo VE had now been added to the documentation page.
The equivalent documentation for non-VE Primo customers such as us is at:
As hosted customers, however, we still can't see the contents of the synonym files as described, as we don't have that sort of server level access. Therefore we are unable to determine:
(i) whether the non-VE synonym list bears direct comparison to the VE list,
(ii) if it does not, where the differences lie.

display logic should allow us to block Resource Sharing Request if the item is an ebook
As more and more ebooks are offered and indexed in CDI, we need a way to block the UW Request from showing for these. At this time Resource sharing is not equipped to handle the loaning of entire ebooks. So we need users to use different options and unfortunately we do not have a way to block the RS request when an item is an ebook

I'm suggesting an out of the box configuration option to highlight the required fields in the citation linker. I have adjusted the text, to let our users know that an identifier is required but the text can easily be missed. We recently migrated to Alma/Primo VE and when we had 360/Summon, we were able to highlight the required fields in the citation linker. I am investigating CSS customization options.

Enable/disable the article quote in Brief results
Brief results often show a quote/snippet for an article (see screenshot). In Primo VE it is currently not possible to enable/disable this. We would like to see this configuration option. All the other fields are customizable, why not this one?

Allow custom error pages if View Code does not exist
Currently any unkown View Code in the URL (e.G: vid=PRIMA) leads to empty page and rotating diamonds.
In the background Angular is unable to fetch the configuration URL /primo_library/libweb/webservices/rest/v1/configuration/PRIMA which is answered by an HTTP 406 error from the server.
To the enduser its completely unclear where the problem is located, did she/he make a mistake or is there a problem on the server.
I would suggest to provide at least generic error page (View Code not found) and respond by HTTP 404 or 406 to the client. This is also important for search engine crawlers if there are any…

Ability to merge local data with cdi records
We currently export Imperial Open Access Spiral material to CDI and Primo VE. This means in Primo VE we show duplicate records for all our Open Access Spiral Records. One from the local source and one from CDI. This is not the best user experience. It is also confusing for library staff working on Spiral Records in Primo VE.

Citation Linker: support DOI link format
The Citation Linker doesn't currently support lookup of citation data using a DOI if a user has entered the DOI as a link, e.g. https://doi.org/10.1111/123456789.
This only works if the user enters the traditional form 10.1111/123456789.As the current guidelines from Crossref (https://www.crossref.org/education/metadata/persistent-identifiers/doi-display-guidelines/) are to always display DOIs as a link, many publishers now use this format. For maximum compatibility, the Citation Linker should be able to interpret DOIs in this form.
