Add option for user to have his/hers account deleted
With the upcoming EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) the right to be forgotten will be imperative. We suggest that an "Delete my account" button is added to the My account space in Primo.

Author/Title Index in Browse Search
Every library catalog I have ever used has included an Author/Title index which searches headings combining author/creator name and uniform title. The index usually includes:
* 100/240
* 110/240
* 111/240
* 700 where $$t is present
* 710 where $$t is present
* 711 where $$t is present
* 800 where $$t is present
* 810 where $$t is present; and
* 811 where $$t is presentI have included screenshots of how this browse search works in the Library of Congress' system, using "Shakespeare, William" as a search term.

Allow admin to select in what order Resource Types are displayed
Currently the Resource Types can only be arranged alphabetically or by count (how often the type appears in search results). We would like to be able to preference certain types above others (for example, books, ebooks, articles...over things like Text Resources. So that for any search, the Resource Types are always arranged the same way and in a way that is most helpful for users.

Create facets for more MaRC fields (Location and Format)
Right now in our Aleph-Primo system, we cannot search for books in Primo with the specificity we need and are used to in the Aleph OPAC. Location or loan period and format (within books) would help our patrons.
We regularly have patrons ask for "books they can take home," i.e. physical, non-reserve books. Filters could allow us to produce these results. We also can't easily pull up just physical books or just books from our special K-12 collection (which have a unique location and loan period).
Whether you add the ability to include any MaRC fields or just these particular…

Ability to share favorites
We'd like to see a more robust favorites area, with more options for configuration. One thing in particular we'd like would be the ability to organize lists of favorites, then to share those with other users. This has been brought up by librarians who'd like to work on lists collaboratively and then share those lists with students or instructors.

Improve usability of exclude/include facet options
Based on recent usability testing of the new UI we have found that our users appeared to be confused about how to include and exclude facet options from their results set. One of the main pain points seemed to be that they did not know that they were able to exclude a specific facet option (for example to exclude English items from the results set most of our users ticked all options under the language facet other then English rather then just excluding the English option).
At the moment the option to exclude only appears when someone hovers over the…

Add 583 data from holding record to Primo GetIt tab
Currently, Primo can be configured to display additional holdings information in the GetIt tab: 867, 868, 561$a$u$3, 563$a$u$3, 541$a$b$c$d, and 852$t. We would like to also display the 583 $u and $z. 583 is a note about an action taken (in the past or future) on the holdings, and $z is a public note. Examples of 583 notes would be decisions to move to storage, dates of digitization, use in exhibits, decisions to discard or retain, etc. Since $z is a public note, we would like Primo to support displaying the public note.
Our particular use case is to display…

Exclude online material
Many library users want to search for print material and not the online material. We want to be able to exclude the online material. Right now you can choose to search print material that is available on the shelf, but doing that you miss out on the titles that are out on loan.

Change the record ID methods for Tags and Basket
For Tags and Basket, the records ID is the dedupmrg number for merged records. We want to use the individual record ID for the group.
This will ensure that records will allways be pointing on the right record even the all records are deleted and reloaded. The dedupmrg number is different whe we reload all records.1 vote -
Subject words also in brief display
We would like to have the option to show subject words in the brief display mode. This would help users determine if hits are relevant faster.

German search character conversion - combined vowels representing umlauted letter as well as umlauted letter
In German, an "umlaut" over a letter can be represented with the two dots over the letter, or as a vowel combination, e.g. Anfänge or Anfaenge. If the user searches any of these (or just the un-umlauted letter), we'd like them to see results that contain all the variants.
Ex Libris investigated the configurations for character conversion in searching/indexing, and suggested filing a Primo enhancement:
" it is not currently possible to convert ü into u and also into ue. This would be an enhancement request. "
Which we will do, but wanted to float it here also.

Allow Lateral Links to Perform a Browse Search
Our library consortium would like to have the links in the details section of the record display bring the user to the browsable index. That way, if a record has a subject of "Library catalogs", the user would get a list of clickable subject headings with subdivisions so as to either find more records with the same subject or records with a more narrow focus:
Library catalogs
Library catalogs and readers [see Library catalogs and users]
Library catalogs and users
Library catalogs and users--Australia--PErth (W.A.)
Library catalogs and users--Bibliography.
Library catalogs and users--Case studies.
Library catalogs and users--Congresses

Primo - Pay Fines Link - don't show when there are no fines
The Pay Fines in Library Card/Account section of Primo displays even when a user has no fines.
Clicking the link takes the user through to our payment provider allowing them to attempt to pay a fine/fee of zero.
It would be a notable improvement to the user experience if this link only displayed when there was actually a fine/fee to be paid.

Campus Activated Subscriber Access for better off-campus and mobile access to full text
Google Scholar is rolling out a programme with publishers for easier access to full-text subscription content. They call this Campus Activated Subscriber Access (CASA). The description from the latest press release says "CASA makes note of a user’s institutional affiliation when they access content from an authorized on-campus location, and then enables continued access to their library’s journal and book holdings from home or when using a device not connected to the institution’s network".
The way this could work with Primo is by setting a cookie on the user's device when they are on campus and access Primo. If their…

Add filter to eliminate items already pinned from search results
Provide a filter that would eliminate items that are already 'pinned' from the search results so that when people have many items pinned and they search on their topic, they have the ability to view only the items they haven't already pinned.
(Our graduate students really like the pinning feature.)2 votes -
Combining searches from search history into a new search
My colleagues misses the functionality from our previous discovery system to combine searches in the search history list into a new search in an easy way, e.g. S1 AND S3

Currently we are removing the "Under review" status.

Actions - email record function - Please give indication an email has been sent
When emailing a record (via Actions - email ) it would be great if there was some indication that an email was sent. We often get several emailed records from clients regarding the same item – and one has mentioned it would be great to know it’s been successfully sent. Currently the pop box for entering email details just disappears once submitted.

Cutting and Pasting Search Strategies following a PRIMO search
As a reference librarian, I regularly include a copy of a my strategy with a hypertext link to the search in an email or Google Doc. There is a nice summary of the strategy above the search in PRIMO, but I can't copy it well; it needs a lot of editing if pasted.
In my search history, it is a hyper-link and when I highlight it to copy, it tends to re-run the link.
The alternatives are too share a link (the links too searches are too long -- a short link may work) or to do a screen capture…
