Decrease time allowed between duplicate resource sharing requests
Currently, there is a forced 10 minute wait time before submitting duplicate resource sharing requests for the same title. We very often have patrons requesting multiple parts of a set that requires library staff to submit additional requests on behalf of the patron. Having a 10 minute wait time between requests is unreasonable and a significant waste of staff time to input requests. A request for six volumes of a set will take a staff member at least 50 minutes to submit all requests, if the requests are timed and spaced evenly.
The threshold for blocking duplicate requests should be reduced to a more reasonable amount of time. Even one minute would be sufficient to prevent patrons from accidentally submitting duplicates in Primo, while not impeding library staff from being able to submit multiple requests on behalf of a patron.
Do note that requesting the same title but with a different volume, chapter, pages or note is allowed without having to wait. This is intended to allow requesting multiple parts without having to wait.

We were not made aware that this issue had ever been addressed, as we have been struggling to deal with the workflow for it since we went live in May of 2015.
We did some testing yesterday and while it's not a perfect solution, we did find that by using "save & edit" when creating a borrowing request in Alma and filling in volume information once those additional fields are available to us, we can get a second request placed without waiting.
We also tried a request in Primo and it does seem to work as well as long as we fill in additional information. We're not entirely convinced that our patrons will know to do that, though.

Hi,
Request for the same title but with a different volume, chapter, pages or note is allowed without having to wait. This is intended to allow requesting multiple parts without having to wait. Is that not your experience ?
Thank you,
