Display all related records instead of 500
When looking for related records (Brief results list > Other > Related records), only 500 titles are displayed.
Especially when working with series/journals with many issues, monographs, or analytical records, having all related records would simplify the daily work.70 votes -
New Label "Invoice" for Address Types
We would like to have the possibility to choose a specific label "Invoice" as address type. This would be used for institutional accounts as some of them have an additional Invoice address which is different than the "Home" one. Having such a label could be used for harvesting data to an external billing application.
Thank you very much!108 votes -
Populate library hours from other sources
Currently Alma does not accept a feed of library opening hours from other sources, we would like ExLibris to add this feature for better integration with other calendars. Currently Alma API can retrieve and output library open hours, it would be nice to have an API that can read and update library open hours.

Display MARC 250 subfield "b" in "Edition" in the Brief Results List
Even when a record has 250 subfields a and b, Alma brief results display only subfield $$a with a slash in the Edition field. Alma should also display subfields b according to the MARC21 standard:

Please add the "suppress bibliographic record" to the log of the "view versions" in the MD editor
Hello,
We would like to have the ability to know when and by whom a bibliographic record was suppressed, when checking the "view versions" in the MD editor.
Thanks.

Ebook usage information in Alma on Other Details per portfolio
Within Alma when looking at Ebooks (or journals) it would be nice to have the ability to see "usage" - by portfolio - based on the OpenURL report or potentially pulling in SUSHI harvested data. It could be on the portfolio level or "Other details" similar to how books show usage. Quick way to determine if additional titles need to be purchased.

Export Note to vendor into Excel
We noticed, that when exporting a number of POLs to Excel (for example from the claims list, but also from regular search results list), the "Note to vendor" is not exported.
This field would be very helpful for manual claiming.
Is there any way, you could add this field to the export-function?156 votesAn option to present the "Note to vendor" is added to the file exported to Excel when exporting a list of PO lines (Export all fields).

Allow Online Services Order to include electronic collections with public name overrides
Currently the Online Services Order documentation includes the following note: "This feature will not order electronic collections that have a value in the Public name (override) field. To use this feature, you must remove the override." Overrides are important for simplifying Primo/Primo VE display so that users are not faced with overly complicated resource descriptions. Online Services Order is a critical tool for improving linking behavior. We need this tool to accommodate electronic collections with public name overrides.
70 votesPublic name override was not taken in consideration in the online services order sorting, this issue is fixed as of Alma January release

Collection level access model setting
Please create a setting where we can choose the ebook access model at the collection level. We have many ebook collections where we know everything in them is the same access model, usually unlimited (UA). It would be helpful to be able to set this at the collection level so every portfolio in that collection will have the access model display in Primo.
97 votesAs of February 2024, users can define an access model at the collection level where all portfolios inherit. This is particularly beneficial for libraries with auto-activated collections, as it ensures that each new addition seamlessly inherits the access model.

Claims
Would it be possible to add the option to assign in the list of order lines with claim? When there are several purchasing operators working on claims, it would be very useful if each one could assign certain claims.

Create 'View Analytics' role
Some of our library staff need to be able to view Analytics dashboards that we have set up for them in Alma but don't need to be able to do anything else in the system, so even a role such as 'Circulated Desk Operator - Limited' gives them options that they don't require. It would be useful to have a role available that allows staff to see the Analytics menu and the Reports section of that menu, but nothing or little else. That role could then be used as the basic role for making Analytics dashboards visible to staff, with…

Allow Repeatable Fields in Add Representation Form in Alma
Allow repeatable fields in Add Representation Form in Alma. An article often contain two or more authors. This feature will allow staff who do not know MARC to input contributors into the form.

Add 'Test access' button to New Portfolio editor
When adding a new local portfolio in an electronic collection we will always test access before the task is completed.
Currently we have to click 'Save and done', search for the portfolio and then test access. If the link is incorrect, we have to edit, save, and test again. Please add the 'Test access' button in the New Portfolio editor as in the Electronic Portfolio Editor to save us time and extra clicks.
216 votesA new page action is added that enables the user to save the newly created portfolio and test the access simultaneously.

Add ability to load split coverage dates with portfolio loader & export split coverage dates from Alma using standard export methods
This feature would add the ability to load and export split coverage date ranges for Alma portfolios. Currently, the portfolio loader only allows uploading continuous coverage date ranges. However, in some cases, a journal has split coverage dates. For example, we might have access to a journal from:
1980-1995
1997-presentCurrently, there is no way to upload this using the portfolio loader; the portfolio loader will only load one of the date ranges. This means we must do extra manual work to enter these date ranges in the portfolio editor.
Also, the standard portfolio export features in Alma, in cases…
194 votesWhen using the Extended Export function the exported file now supports the export of portfolios with multi-coverage (in addition to the existing support for single-coverage).

Opening General message from Resource Sharing record should automatically put the cursor in the text field.
Opening General message from Resource Sharing record should automatically put the cursor in the text field.
Currently, it just opens a pop up, whether from the Edit > General Message button or the three dots (...) > General Message option -- these have different UIs but neither put the cursor in the text field, which is the intuitive action.

Please add Description field to all three tabs in Patron Services page: Loan tab, Return tab, and Request tab
Currently, there is no Description field in Patron Services page. Library staffs are not able to immediately recognize which issue, volume, or number is loaned, returned, or requested by a patron at a glance in three tabs at this page.
When circulation desk staff help patron to check or see their loans in Loan tab, Description field is not visible.
Or, if a patron requests different issues under the same title at a time, when he/she comes to circulation desk and wants to pick up his/her requested items, library staff will need to spend more steps to check the Description…364 votesA new ‘Description’ column can be added to the list of loan items in the Manage Patron Services page. The column shows the value of the physical item’s ‘Description’ field.

Ability to track changes made to all fields on Electronic Collection record history tab
Presently, only changes made to some fields in an electronic collection record are tracked on the Electronic Collection Record History tab. For example, if I enter text in the Description field on the Electronic Collection Description tab, the History tab shows a "Modification Date" but does not indicate what field was modified. If I change the Access type field on the General tab, the History tab does not record that any change was made.
The usefulness of the History tab is greatly reduced if not all field changes are tracked. It is more difficult to trust the system or to…

Display “Created by” field for all Notes tab notes
When we use the APIs to update a record, the “Updated On”, and “Updated By” fields on the Notes tab are overwritten with today’s date and “API, Ex Libris”. (This behaviour occurs regardless of the record type.) While we love the ability to use the API to update fields in our Alma records, we feel it’s misleading for these fields to show as having been updated when no update actually occurred.
Per Ex Libris, this is the expected behavior: when we have a list of something, the PUT API replaces them all by deleting them and then recreating them according…

MARC21 to OAI Dublin Core crosswalk

For example being able to add some fields or exclude others. we attached an example of our customization.

Deleting requests older then a certain date
Would it be possible to have a way of deleting physical item requests older then a certain date? Now it's only possible to delete all requests on a title, but that's not very useful.
Highly requested titles on a courses reading list is often not relevant after a certain date, when the course has ended. We sometimes see that old requests, that we haven't been able to fulfill, are causing unnecessary delay in fulfilling requests that are still relevant for the new, active course.
When we had to close the library in spring 2020, we also could see that a…
292 votesHi,
The new Delete Old Requests cloud app deletes old requests based on a CSV file. You can create a report in Analytics, for example by create date, export to a CSV file, and then use the app to delete.
