An error occurred while saving the comment There's on going contact with NLM. The last inquiry was made on October 2020, and was responded to with - 'We will add you to our vendor list and be in touch as soon as possible.'

Ex Libris has been in contact with NLM some time ago regarding the possibility of setting up an integration with DOCLINE. Following the launch of DOCLINE 6 we have re-asked the question. NLM answer is quoted below.
"DOCLINE 6 was launched for requesting this spring, with basic features for interlibrary loan. Development continues to be focused on restoration of features or functionality that were available to users in the previous version. While we can confirm that APIs are planned for the future, there is no additional information at this time. We will reach out to those who expressed interest in DOCLINE integration when APIs are on the schedule for development."
We will continue to monitor the development of DOCLINE, and be happy to work on integrations as soon as that becomes an option.

An error occurred while saving the comment The fulfillment unit may be set up with a policy for requesting available items, see https://www.screencast.com/t/ghrpyOwVOW, for example allowing requesting only for pickup in another campus.
It is possible to override that for specific user groups. This can be done by using the On Shelf Request Policy on the request Terms of Use, see https://www.screencast.com/t/2s1obeNI. This way, you can allow specific user groups to request regardless of the fact that the item is on shelf.
Does that match what you are looking to implement ?

Are you referring to the Public/Staff options in column 2 ? These refer to the types that are split in the tabs of the User Management list, see https://www.screencast.com/t/XUeQgJkg. They affect any user group.
Can you please elaborate ?

Are you familiar with the 'Expiration Alert Period' policy that can be configured for the User Registration TOU ? You can set an alert period in order to get get alerted when there's an upcoming expiry.

An error occurred while saving the comment If you use a 'No Requesting' On Shelf Request Policy in the FU and set the request policy on the ASRS items to 'Allow for pickup anywhere regardless of availability’' the system should allow you to place requests, and they should bind only to the ASRS items. If that is not your experience, I suggest to open a Salesforce ticket.

I am not sure I fully understand the requirement but would like to note:
1. The Fulfillment Unit may be set up with 'No Requesting from available holding' instead of 'No Requesting'. That would enable the RS items to be requestable even though there are available items in other locations.
2. In the request terms of use there is a policy ('On Shelf Request Policy') that allows overriding the Fulfillment Unit's on shelf policy for specific items/locations/user groups.
Can you elaborate on the request, and whether the above information is relevant to your inquiry ?

Running the Close Lost Loans job cleans up the loans for which you do not want refunds to take place. You can use this job to routinely remove 'lost and paid' loans. This will have the effect of not refunding their fees if the do get checked in.

The plan is that it will be possible to pay from the user Fines and Fees tab of the user form instead of have to leave this screen to the 'Manage Patron Services' screen when having to register a payment.

The plan for the activation note is to add this note similar to the receiving note that can be added to physical orders, i.e. a persistent note, separate from the general 'notes' tab that allows adding unlimited additional notes.
Is there a functional gap between that and your requirement ? If there is small gap, it may be that we can incorporate it into the the already planned development.

Has removing the PAY_FINES_FEES PRIVILEGE and WAIVE_FINES_FEES_PRIVILEGE privileges solved the issue ?
