An error occurred while saving the comment Adam Edwards commentedCSL files can only be editied by the CSL community, so nothing we can change that.
My understanding was the CSL file was correctly producing no publisher journal records (I was sent an example) and it's Primo which has been getting confused.
One fix is Primo now does initials, not first name.
An error occurred while saving the comment Adam Edwards commentedProgress is being made on this. The CSL file is fine, its how Primo interprets the info which is the issue. I am due a webinar update soon.
An error occurred while saving the comment Adam Edwards commentedJust had an email from the person who owns the Cite them Right Harvard CSL file who says it works fine. The fault is with how Primo is using it. The problem has been referred to the second tier support team who ever they are to fix. Will keep people posted on this.
An error occurred while saving the comment Adam Edwards commentedReally dissapointing. Please can the Primo team and the RefWorks team talk to each other and share their best practice to provide a quality customer solution?
An error occurred while saving the comment Adam Edwards commentedAgree Primo using the non-CSL file from RefWorks would be an immediate massive quick win for Primo. Please can this be done for this academic year?

Thanks for the examples - we will review them and discuss our options.

An error occurred while saving the comment Adam Edwards commentedDitto for Primo please, as in common with many UK Universities this is what we offer. The version in Primo is inaccurate, eg puts publishers in journal references.
An error occurred while saving the comment Adam Edwards commentedYes please to this. We use Cite them Right as our standard Uni wide referencing system and if Summon could reflect this it would be brilliant. (Yes we know we can do this via RefWorks, so long as the title isn't in capitals, but that's an added complication for our users.)
An error occurred while saving the comment Adam Edwards commentedCite them Right online is widely used in the UK for UG students, so making this link would be really good to boost sales of Summon in the UK and provide the customer with a useful business solution.

An error occurred while saving the comment Adam Edwards commentedPlease add this to Primo too. Book Reviews constantly fool students into thinking we have an ebook and then they complain.

An error occurred while saving the comment Adam Edwards commentedMuch better to flip this. If I am searching and am told FT available but not it is very very annoying and then I email the librarian to complain who then has to investigate and write back which takes up their time on too many occasions.
However, if I get an abstract with a bonus full text I am extra happy.
Same applies with Primo, so hope you can fix that too.
Please flip!Adam Edwards supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Adam Edwards commentedAnd also making sure Cite Them Right Online (used by many us) works well too.

An error occurred while saving the comment Adam Edwards commentedWe now have Harvard, but sadly not Cite them Right Harvard which is our official standard. Next issue is Primo doesn't allow us to set this as a default (which Summon did).

An error occurred while saving the comment Adam Edwards commentedSummon has this capability and Primo does not which means when we implement Alma we go back a step. Indeed it is no better than our current 1994 vintage LMS! Really poor given the need to support students with dyslexia. Should be a high priority to fix.

I've got a way to do this using text2bib: Its a bit clunky but does help when someone shows up with refs in a doc and there is no other source for the refs. My instructions are here:
