An error occurred while saving the comment Ann Kucera - Central Michigan University commentedWe would appreciate being able to add/change the inventory date through the change item information tab of scan in items.
The current process when adding an inventory date is to open the physical item record and manually add the date. If we could add the inventory date to the item record using the change item information tab located at ‘scan in items’ that would save a huge amount of time.

An error occurred while saving the comment Ann Kucera - Central Michigan University commentedHolds/Physical item requests for new items are a very cumbersome workflow for us. Staff who receive the items are using many time-consuming and manual processes to make sure that the items get where they need to go.
A second issue is that we route all of our items through a circulation desk that does not have a hold shelf for inventory. They are not being notified consistently when there is a hold/physical item request on something.
I would like to see this:
Anytime something that has a physical item request on it is scanned, the operator should be notified and the system should expect that the next step should be to go to the hold shelf where it's needed. I would expect this to happen at any library, any desk, any work order department - anywhere it is scanned. It's OK if the operator has some choice in transiting or not transiting but the operator should be clearly notified. Thanks!Ann Kucera - Central Michigan University supported this idea · -

Can you share your process for how you did this? - assuming it's working as expected.
Thanks, Ann

Additional comment: It would be great to have the option to change the label of 'no campus' to something else. Those of us who do not have multiple campuses were instructed by our implementation team that we did not need to set up campuses and that it would create additional work. If we had the option to change the label to 'choose a location' that would be extremely helpful. Almost every month I have a staff person tell me that the label is wrong. If the people on staff at the library are confused, our patrons must also be confused. Please give us a way to fix this usability issue in Alma and in Primo. Thanks!
