  1. Provide the ability to control record linking by ISBN

We would like the implementation of an option that allows us to decide whether or not an order should automatically link itself to any single matching record with the same ISBN already existing in our system.
Currently, the automatic merging of records with the same ISBN creates confusion and inefficiency in our cataloguing process, which requires manual separation and correction.

  2. Include a "View in Primo" link on holdings panel for "In Your Institution" items

When viewing an item that is already owned by the library, the Holdings panel displays some limited holdings information, such as item location and availability. It would be helpful for selectors if a link to view the item in Primo was available on this panel as well so they can view more detailed item/holdings information.

  3. Add Material Type field to the Purchase Request info displayed in Rialto

When a Purchase Request is submitted via Primo and Acquisitions staff "search in market" the Purchase Request information shows to the right of the results list. Unfortunately Material Type is not included so there is no way to know if the patron requested a Print or Ebook copy of the book.

  4. Allow Show Sushi Counter Usage on all applicable titles

This would help with ordering projects such as reviewing EBAs not managed through Rialto, or selecting titles for perpetual purchase that are held in a subscribed ebook collection. In combination with the Sort by Usage it could also help identify titles from a list that are already owned, since this isn't currently a facet for limiting.

  5. Automatically Import Turnaways into Rialto Lists

We'd like to be able to set up an API or something similar that would automatically import turnaway lists into Rialto lists, to assist with quick purchasing & decision making. Ideally, we would like a list per platform, and the ability to set it up to run automatically on a chosen time frame (perhaps once a quarter).

  6. Utilizing Replacement Cost Field in Alma

I'm borrowing an idea that exists in the Alma Idea Exchange (Copy PO Line Prices to Item Replacement Cost). It would be beneficial for the actual cost of an item (invoice price) after discounts to be populated into the Replacement Cost or Inventory Cost fields in Alma, or to be configurable by the institution to suit their needs. For example, we would like the invoice price to populate into the Inventory Price field, and then have that price + processing fee added into the Replacement Cost field.

  7. Display Rialto/ProQuest prices in the Keylinks acquisition price checker

Within Keylinks (Kortext) reading lists, GOBI and Browns price information is integrated in the price checker acquisitions module. Rialto market information should also be integrated here.

  8. Keylinks integration in Rialto

Display reading list information within Rialto, from the Keylinks (Kortext) reading list system:

    • Add a tag within the market listing, similar to the "in your institution" tag and "in my lists" Leganto tag
    • Make this tag clickable and display the reading list information (e.g. module code, name)

  9. Need an API that we could search using ISBN that would tell us what we own in E and P and also tell us what is available to purchase

Need an API that we could search using ISBN or a few other select identifiers that would tell us what we own in E and P and also tell us what is available to purchase with format, price and licensing info. It would also be necessary to have the search function similarly to the way it does in Rialto with a fuzzy match/FRBR type logic based on an exact match option or fuzzy match option in the API call. It would also be desired to perhaps then be able to "batch" order a set of the items after processing either…

  10. Enable authentication on purchase request web form

The customization options on the purchase request web form are great, but we cannot use it until the requestor can authenticate. We need to know who they are.

At present they appear as "Guest" in the request. An accident waiting to happen - when we update the requester to the wrong person.
Also we would only want this service available to institutional members, and would want to avoid mischievous use by unknown persons.

  12. Fix citations reverting to older editions when added from the 'Rialto search scope' in Leganto

The current problem occurs when we use the Rialto search scope in Leganto to find a new edition of a book, and we already hold previous edition(s) of the same title. When we add the title to the reading list, it associates to the ISBN of previous editions and the citation reverts to an older held version. This is the opposite of what we want it to do, we want it to be used to highlight where a new edition is available so we can begin a purchase of this new content - which would be in ProQuest's interests too!
