Create Bibliography Using Sources From Multiple Folders
I would like to utilize subfolders for a literature review based on themes. However, I confirmed with support that there is no way to select sources from multiple folders when using the "Create Bibliography" feature. This would be a helpful feature to add.
2 votesAlready Supported · AdminShalhevet Bar-Asher (VP, Research Information Management, Ex Libris) respondedWhile you can’t select references from multiple folders there are two ways to create such a bibliography:
1. Select Create Bibliography from the All References tab and not from a specific folder.
2. Create a new folder and copy to it all relevant references (this is similar to My List in legacy RefWorks with the added benefit that it won’t be cleared when you logout, as is the case with My List). -

make the remove field code function for RCM
Make the remove field code function for RCM
1 voteThank you for your feedback. Field codes in MS Office add-ins are controlled by Microsoft. To remove content control in Word while using RCM, right click on in-text citation and click Remove Content Control. Note, once this is done, RCM will no longer recognize the in-text citation, as it will be saved as text.

Viewing abstracts at once when folder is shared
In Legacy RefWorks, when you share a folder with a patron, they have the option of viewing the full reference which will show the abstract. In New RefWorks, those who you share the folder with cannot customize their view. They have to click on each abstract to view each abstract.
1 voteAlready Supported · AdminShalhevet Bar-Asher (VP, Research Information Management, Ex Libris) respondedUsers can choose the Full View option and then the abstract is fully visible in the main pane, without having to open the preview pane.

Edit publication date in imported citations
Books imported from library websites often show up with "[INVALID DATE]" instead of their real pubvlication date. Looks like the problem is that RefWorks can't handle two publication dates--the first edition's and the current printing. This is REALLY ANNOYING.... It would be great if the user could edit the date included in an imported reference to fix the default of [invalid date]. If this is possible, please let me know by replying to my email below. Thanks.
1 voteAlready Supported · AdminShalhevet Bar-Asher (VP, Research Information Management, Ex Libris) respondedAll metadata, including publication date, can be edited in the preview pane that opens when clicking on a reference.

Ease of access to PDF attachments.
I can only access the PDF attachments by going to Full View and searching through all the information that is shown. It would be great if the system would show that the PDF document is attached and have a link to open it on the side bar in Normal View. Or have the PDF automatically open when the title is double clicked.
1 voteAlready Supported · AdminShalhevet Bar-Asher (VP, Research Information Management, Ex Libris) respondedAttachments are indicated also in Normal view and can be accessed from the preview pane that opens when clicking on the reference.

Empower Users to Continue Access to Data Post-Graduation
Logging in using institutional Shibboleth is easiest for the majority of users. However, this method of authentication only works so long as they continue their institutional affiliation. Please design a way for users to select their login preferences after the initial account creation, in order to offer users the option to change their sign-in to an email address and password of their choice. This will help them continue access post-graduation, which is particularly important for graduate students.
1 voteAlready Supported · AdminShalhevet Bar-Asher (VP, Research Information Management, Ex Libris) respondedIn the login screen users can log in with their email and password or by selecting their institution from the drop down list (Shibboleth). If they left the institution they should simply use their email and password (defined when they initially created the account). They can change the email address associated with their account under Settings (to a non-institutional email), and if they forgot the password they originally defined they can click on Forgot Password.

1 voteAlready Supported · AdminShalhevet Bar-Asher (VP, Research Information Management, Ex Libris) respondedTo go back to the home page you can:
1. press the RefWorks icon on the top left. This is available in all pages and views.
2. Press the All References tab, which is the top tab in the left bar -

Create reports based on common wording in the "notes" field
Some of the references I have collected are available only in a certain University. During the course of collecting the data, I mentioned in the "notes" field that these specific articles are available in that University. Now I want to go there and make a report/list of all the references of which I mentioned in the notes they are available there. How do I do it? Tag it? Can I create a report based on tagging?
Might it be able to learn from the common wording I used in the notes field: "Available/accessible on XXX".1 voteAlready Supported · AdminShalhevet Bar-Asher (VP, Research Information Management, Ex Libris) respondedWhen searching in RefWorks (at the right end of the toolbar), it searches the Notes field as well.

Stating the obvious
I need to use your site to create references for online webpages, and it does not have an option to do so. There is no box to insert the url. Your site only allows us to either create references for documents like pdf files we find online and dowload, or those from the school database, most of which already have references listed in the description section.
1 voteAlready Supported · AdminShalhevet Bar-Asher (VP, Research Information Management, Ex Libris) respondedAs noted in the comment, a url can be inserted when choosing the Web Page reference type. In addition you can use the Save to RefWorks plug-in to create a reference from a website.

Search Using Keywords
When an article is read through the refworks, currently keywords cannot be searched nor highlighted. Currently, the paper should be downloaded to the computer and then searched using Ctrl+F. It would be great, to have this option in refworks itself.
1 voteAlready Supported · AdminShalhevet Bar-Asher (VP, Research Information Management, Ex Libris) respondedWhen viewing an attachment in RefWorks (by pressing on Read in the preview pane) words can be highlighted and annotations can be made.
When using the RefWorks search bar (in the top tool bar, to the right of Tools), it searches in the attachment and in the annotations. -
When clicking on a citation, I'd like to be able to view which other RefWorks folders a citation has been added to.
It is possible to add single citations to multiple folders. I would like to click on a citation, and see which folders it has been added to.
