  1. Ignore punctuation in bibliography

The ordering of titles surrounded by inverted commas is separate to those titles that do not have inverted commas, in a bibliography.
Is it possible to ignore the inverted commas so that all titles are listed alphabetically, regardless of punctuation?

I have tried ediing the 'title' field in the Bibliography settings but I don't see any option to ignore punctuation here.

  2. Bibliografías organizadas por tipo de material

Será muy intersante que Rewforks permitiese hacer bibliografías organizadas por tipo de material: monografías, artículos, tesis, etc.

  3. Duplicate or copy a project

It would be great to be able to duplicate or make a copy of a project. That way, if you share it or make any changes, you can make a copy for sharing or editing and save the original project, which includes not just the records, but the folder structure, in case you make mistakes or need to go back to the original. Exporting the citations does not save the folder structure or save all the changes you've made specifically in RefWorks to a citation.

  4. allow to search for citation using the URL field - not just the title field.

When a user is looking to manually build a citation, allow the lightening bolt tool to operate on the URL field rather than title of the document field. This is the standard in other Citation builders and students are often looking for it.

  6. Capture PMID from CINAHL records upon import

EBSCO has isolated the PMID in as a piece of data in their CINAHL records; however, this doesn’t appear to be captured in an import into RefWorks. Please capture this item when available in CINAHL records.

  7. Enable stats at folder level

Enable stats at the folder level. If we make a folder of citations public, we can see how many view the folder. This would be really helpful!

At this point, we would have to use a link manager, like Bitly to count views. Having to add another platform, such as Bitly, to support our RefWorks-related needs is not ideal.

  8. [New RefWorks] 나만의 출력스타일(Citation style) 공유하기 기능 추가해주세요 - Request for my custom citation styles share feature

The users can share the custom citation style by using back-up and restore function in Legacy, but New RefWorks is not. It was very useful feature. I want to share my custom style with my colleague not publish to the institutional style in public.

  9. RefWorks Statistics - referencing/citation style being used

If possible please include stats on what referencing/citation style our users are using in refworks (and if possible in WnC).

Reasons : to help us have a better idea of what our users are actually using and catch those areas using other styles that we are aware of.

  10. Provide a RefWorks citation format that will be able to be used by any software

It would be very useful if there was a way to have a RefWorks citation format for every reference so that we can use them in any software besides MS Word (e.g. MS Powerpoint, Obsidian, Notepad).

Example: I want to organize my research ideas in Obsidian software. Next to each idea, I want to keep (shortly) the references that are related to each idea as kept in Refworks. I don't mind about the citation style. All I want, is a short unique Refworks citation of my references that will link to the actual reference to the Refworks library.

    Then, when…

  11. Add NCBI abbreviations for AMA 11th edition

Abbreviation of journals in accordance with NCBI https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/nlmcatalog/journals/ is inconsistent for AMA 11th edition format. Sometimes the generated citations have abbreviated titles and other times they don't.

  16. Allow successive folder assignments

After successfully adding select citations from a list of records to a 1st folder, allow the user to go through the list again to pick other citations to add to other folders. Currently the "apply" button doesn't show up again until you refresh the page.

My particular use case is systematic review screening. I go through a page of results selecting those I want to move to an "include" folder. Then I want to toggle the check boxes and add the others to an "exclude folder". I'd need to refresh the page to get the "apply" button back, loosing the…

  17. The ability to move references.

Be able to move references manually since once you put them in besides the hard sorting of authors and such there is no way to change order.

  18. There should be a more accurate update on saving.

Current it only says "updated: sometime" instead of a specific time stamp. This is very frustrating because I can't be sure my notes are definitely saved.

  19. Adding ability in author search to see multiple authors with similar names, and to globally change one to another (from Legacy Refworks)

We track publications by authors at our organization, and we format the authors’ names so each one is always the same; e.g, Donald P. Wilson is always Wilson, Don P. even if it was imported from PubMed as Wilson DP. It was easy to search for an author’s name and globally change any stray formats into the same one in the Legacy RefWorks. We'd greatly appreciate having this restored in the new Refworks! Thank you for your consideration.

  20. Can we have a listing for TED talks so that it comes out correct for APA 7? I have to do it by hand now.

There are many TED talks referenced and Refworks does not really recognize APA 7 needs. can we please have that so we do not have to do it by hand each time? thank you
