Content

Your feedback matters to us. Help us to extend our discovery indexes, KnowledgeBases and Community Zone by telling us what collections and data you’d like to see us add, using the message areas below. You can also support something already posted.
If you are suggesting new content for Discovery that is not yet in the Knowledgebase you do not need to submit two entries (one for Discovery and one for Knowledgebase)
Specifically you can suggest:
• New collections for Discovery (Primo Central and Summon)
• New collections for the Knowledgebase (Alma CZ, SFX KB and 360 KB)
• New authority files to be added to the Community Zone
• Enrichment of Community Zone bibliographic records for certain collections

We would love to be able to respond to every idea that is submitted, but this is not feasible. We are, however, committed to responding to the most popular ideas—those that have received the most points.
For more information please review our FAQ and guidelines. Thank you.

  6. MOOC, Open Courses and Open Coursewares

As helpful to newbies on curtain subject as other results already included in Summon Index.

Index the resourses from Coursera, edX, HarvardX, or any MOOC platform around the world. As well as OCWs at MIT, etc.

Many popular courses are hosted on multiple platforms, so they need to be generalized by name and teachers, like what EJP does for journals, I suppose.

  8. Target/Collection: University of Alberta Libraries OJS Journal Collection

The University of Alberta Library publishes a high quality collection of over 40 open access journals, many of whom have been publishing for over a decade https://journals.library.ualberta.ca/. These titles provide globally relevant, peer-reviewed multi-disciplinary content with particular strengths in Education and Social Sciences. Improved access to these resources will benefit researchers and students world-wide. Library publishers are important partners in knowledge creation and discovery, and we would like to work with Ex Libris to include important collections like these in their discovery environments.

  11. Elsevier ELibrary (elsevierelibrary.de)

    Target/Collection: Elsevier ELibrary

    Provider: ELSEVIER

    URL: https://institut.elsevierelibrary.de/

    title list: https://institut.elsevierelibrary.de/catalog/show/all

content: (mostly) German-speaking textbooks for medicine studies (pre-clinical & clinical, post-graduate), veterinary medicine and nursing

Instead of using the default target "miscellaneous_ebooks", we think it appropriate to create a dedicated target for this collection.

The list of D-A-CH clients using the Elsevier eLibrary has become quite long: https://institut.elsevierelibrary.de/staticcms/referenzen

  12. University of Michigan Press Ebooks

The University of Michigan Press recently launched ebook collections on the new Fulcrum platform.

I wish Ex Libris would add University of Michigan Press ebook collections to the Alma Community Zone (title lists and MARC records) as well as to the forthcoming Central Discovery Index.

  14. CiNii Books for Discovery

CiNii Books is a free bibliographic database for all genre book contents. It is widely used in Japanese institutions.
    https://ci.nii.ac.jp/books/

I hope that this database will be added to Summon Index. Merging this to Library Catalog will make library resources more accessible and discoverable.

  15. E-Journal target for SFX: JSTOR_LIVES_OF_LITERATURE

We are proposing to create a new target for the JSTOR-collection Lives of Literature with the name: JSTORLIVESOF_LITERATURE

The Title list can be found here: https://www.jstor.org/librarians/products/thematic-collections/lives-of-literature/#content

It makes the e-ressources librarian possible to activate the SFX-link-resolver for the JSTOR-collection LIVESOFLITERATURE. This generates an added values for our users like e.g.: adding SFX-Link in catalogue, visibility of SFX-Button in Google Scholar, etc.
