  1. Set Task List "Unassigned - List with new Note to zero

We are starting to manage our 'Unassigned - List with new note' task which had not previously been dealt with in our workflow. The notes all say "Comment: List was published List status: Ready For Processing" even though the lists are completed. The list is quite large even though the lists have been completed.

Apparently there is no way to automatically clear this task and set it to zero. The Ex Libris support team agree that this would be a useful enhancement and suggest this enhancement suggestion.

I guess there may be other tasks that could be managed in this…

  2. Option to exclude facets when searching the library

When adding a reference from the library search, you can filter based on "Type" and "Available here" facets in Leganto. This is great, but it would also be helpful if you could exclude facets as well, like you can in Primo. For instance, if you don't want Open Access records you should be able to exclude them. The "Type" facets are usually mutually exclusive (so isn't as relevant to exclude), but this is not true for the "Available here" facets. References can for instance be both "Open access" and "Peer reviewed" at the same time.

    Our specific use case is…

  4. Warnings when marking citations and lists complete when there are any pending statuses

If any citations are marked as being prepared, In process or ready for processing include a warning if the list status is being marked as complete.

If a copyright status is waiting for approval add a warning if citation status is being marked as complete.

  5. Add Warning (in Leganto) about associating multiple Reading Lists to Single Course code

In our environment, we prefer only one Reading List to be associated with a single Course Code. However, sometimes Instructors link multiple Reading Lists to the same course. This is often in error.

It would be good to have a warning in Leganto that warns instructors that they are linking a Reading List to a Course code that already has a Reading List attached to it.

This should be able to be "overridden" to allow for instances where it is in fact desirable. And should be configurable for institutions for whom this is not desirable to be seen by instructors.

  6. Support file copy options for reference manager integrations

Leganto does not provide options for uploading files to reading lists via the reference manager integrations (specifically Zotero) and instead shows attached files from Zotero collections as separate citations. It would improve the experience of instructors if the reference manager integrations would allow files to be attached to imported citations, rather than having to reattach those files in the reading list.

  7. Lookup pricing and availability of books at online bookstores and display to patrons

Ability to lookup pricing and availability of books using online bookstores' REST APIs and display to students and instructors, with links, in the Additional Services section of the full citation display. So not just links that might not work using "general electronic service", but more like "Check Availability and Pricing" in Alma. Not just for Amazon, it needs to be possible for an institution to select their preferred partner(s) and configure their affiliate ID or other parameters in the API requests.

  8. Material Visibility Start and End Dates on Rollover Inherit New Course Start and End Dates

Adding material visibility start and end dates for uploaded files requires clicking in and out of every citation on the list which has an uploaded file, and then clicking 4 or 5 times further to advance the calendar to the end of the semester for each citation's material visibility end date. This request is asking for the rollover process, both for instructor and course loader rollover, to include the option to assign new material visibility start and end dates to any citations on the list which have a material visibility date at the time of rollover, and the new course…

  10. Allow resource_locate_multiple_matches and resource_locate_multiple_matches_priority to take effect when locating single citation in Alma

When resource locate is run on a single citation, Alma will only locate it if a single match is found; if there are no matches or multiple matches then the resource locate will fail and the citation's status will change to declined.

The resource locate multiple match priority settings, which we use to prioritise electronic inventory, currently only apply when running resource locate in bulk using the Process and Enrich citations in Bulk job or when citations are added in Leganto by instructors. It does not apply when running resource locate on a single citation in Alma i.e. as happens…

  13. Provide an ability to configure the sort order of the links display in Leganto

Currently the links are displayed according to what the Alma u-resolver returns back, and the results (links) are dependent on the collection activation in Alma. We need the option to sort links (Ascending/Descending) in Leganto view, regardless of the Alma / Primo sort.

  14. Digitization request form - show fields for journal articles as well as books

Improve the request digitization form so that it

shows the appropriate fields if the bookmark is a journal article, and shows the existing information from the bookmark to the requestor.

The information appears in the Alma citation, but I'd like the requester (whether academic or library staff) to see the information from the Leganto side.

  15. Field to display URL where item type is Website

Where Website is chosen as the item type then it would be useful to have a field that displays the URL, in both the short and long form of the citation in Leganto. Ideally this should be displayed in <angled brackets> in keeping with common reference citation guidelines, but it would also serve as a useful back up if the link were to stop working. This would not need to be a hyperlink and may need to be different to the one that we are using as it would need to exclude any proxy url prefixes that may be in…

  16. API for Retrieval of List of Courses for a User

There already exists an API for the retrieval of a list of users for a particular course:
    GET /almaws/v1/courses/{course_id}/users

    https://developers.exlibrisgroup.com/alma/apis/docs/courses/R0VUIC9hbG1hd3MvdjEvY291cnNlcy97Y291cnNlX2lkfS91c2Vycw==/

  17. Allow the selection of Course and then Reading List when using LTI in a LMS site

There is often complex mappings between institutional courses and LMS sites (these are not always a 1-1 mapping) and due to this the automatic LTI match is not viable.

If courses are pre-loaded into Alma then the instructor may have already built the reading list they require so we do not want the LTI to create another course.

If the LTI adapter allowed the instructor to select a course first and then the reading list then this would lower administration overhead significantly when there isn't a direct map between the course and LMS site.

  18. LTI Relink to reading list

Currently, LTI links default to going to the course (ie the list of reading lists). If only one reading list is visible to a user, that will open directly, which fooled us into thinking of it as a reading list link, but it is really a course link.

Instructors can relink these LTI links to a specific citation, or to a specific section - it would be useful if they could also relink them to a specific reading list.

When rollover is performed, the relinked item should point to the rolled over (new) reading list, in the same way as…

  19. Allow date filtering on the Edit Citations page

It would allow more flexibility in the Citation-level workflow if there was an easier way of working with dates in the page. Often there are far more citations slowing the page and overloading the users to make this as effective as it could be. It would be useful to be able to filter the report by a date (before/after, or between) and then use the facets to really drill down on criteria to address.

In a list in Alma, there is a "Citation Last Modification Date" which is almost doing something similar, but as it is just a specific date…

  20. Ability to configure citation processing rules to not generate purchase request

At the moment, the citation processing rules are configured in such a way to only enable the generation of purchase requests if the criteria of the rule are met.
It would be useful if it was possible to also create rules which could specify that a purchase request should not be generated if the criteria are met, and to be able to set the rules in order of priority. This should work in the same way as the fulfillment unit rules so that rules are worked through from top to bottom and only the first applicable rule is used; all…
