Remove citations' redundant punctuations
We noticed that there are redundant punctuations displayed in the citations added from Alma, could these redundant punctuations not show when adding the citations into the reading list?
I do know that Leganto uses "," to separate different fields like author, edition and publisher. It would be clearer and easier for students to read the details of the citations without these redundant punctuations.
We notice that what appears in the MARC record would be directly copied to the citation, please could an enhancement be made to check if the existing field has punctuation at the end and remove it from display.

This same fix is needed for punctuation in Primo displays. The Ex Libris software adds periods to fields that already end in periods, and doesn't add punctuation to separate fields that it runs together. It makes the library staff look illiterate. It shouldn't be up to each library to tediously program Primo to fix Primo's bad punctuation algorithms. Attached screen shot shows a Primo display of book authors with incompetent punctuation--not from the MARC bibliographic record, but from Primo's display of the fields.

With the Primo Normalization Rules, the PNX>Leganto mappings and Brief Citation Display there is a lot of functionality now around this, but it would be useful to do more with the punctuation handling of the creator or addata/au addata/addau punctuation. Might be useful to have a wider list discussion on this as doubtless display preferences vary regionally and institutionally for certain data points.
