Allow ability to enable Library Discussion at citation level only and deactivate at list level
We would like the ability to be able to choose whether Library Discussion is activated at list level, citation level, or both.
The scenario for this is that we currently use library discussion at the citation level for academics to request titles to be transferred to our High Demand collection, but have found that some are using the discussion at list level for other enquiries. Discussions added at list level do not generate a notification and can be missed by library staff, unless they go into the reading list in Alma and check for notes. Ideally we would like the…

Automatically updating new edition citations on all lists the old editions appear on
In instances where a book appears on several reading lists, would it be possible for Leganto to update all the lists if a citation is edited on one list (e.g. if a citation is edited to direct to a new edition)? At present, whenever there is a new edition of a textbook published, we will order the newer version and update the ISBN on the citation to the new edition, running the resource locate function upon saving the change so the citation points to the Alma record of the latest edition and updates the bibliographical information with data from the…

Display Public Note Field on Compact View
Our lists are set as compact citation view by default because it's so much easier for users to take in the important information. But Public Notes on citations do not display in the compact view, making them effectively useless since many students will never see the public note if they click "view online" or "download" directly from the compact view of citations to access the content without ever going to citation details page. Please set Public Notes on citations to display in the compact list view.

Add an easier way to dismiss new notifications (post Sept 2019)
Hi, in the September 2019 release the notifications menu was moved from the left sidebar to the top right in Leganto front-end. The number of unseen notifications now appears in a red dot over the notifications.
However it does not currently seem possible to 'dismiss' the red dot from the notifications screen; rather it appears that user have to follow the link before the red dot will disappear.
As the notification information is mainly seen from the first click - i.e. the list of notifications, it should be possible to 'dismiss' the red dot at that stage, rather than having…

Add Course year/course terms as a filter/display element into Find lists and My lists
As instructors, Learning technologists and library staff own, collaborate or work on many lists for many courses over time, it would be useful - as is found in many VLE/CMS/LMS systems, to have course reading lists which are able to be filtered by Year AND or term information where this is available.
For the greatest flexibility it would be useful to allow visual grouping AND discovery options of lists by Course year or Course Term with configuration available as to:-
i) whether to display course year groupings AND/OR Course Term in My Lists
ii) whether to display course year groupings…3 votesAvailable in Feb release

Capability to assign citations to a different sections within a list
In a long list, dragging and dropping citations into a different section can be a slow process. It should be possible to simply select the list section (pre-populated) from a drop-down for each citation, and move the citation to that section

citation tag manage purchase request
Can the 'Citation tags' facet/filter also be added to the 'Manage Purchase Requests' screen.
To provide context, the citation tags we have created ourselves are 'Essential', 'Core', Further Reading', 'Distance Learning', 'Recommended' and so on. Our reading list team will want to complete all purchase requests, however, they may wish to process purchase requests marked essential, before moving onto the Core reading etc. Or have different team members working through different citation tags. Having this facet in 'Manage Purchase Requests' will allow the team to prioritise particular requests over others.
Feels like a small feature to implement, but will have…

Support associating a reading list to a course via an API or similar
Alma/Leganto supports associating a reading list to multiple courses, but only manually, using the Alma interface.
Please support associating an existing reading list to an existing course via an API, or a batch job or some other mechanism that can be automated.
Without such a functionality, it is impossible to effectively integrate the feature "associating reading lists with multiple courses" with external systems, thus rendering it much less viable.

Add a function to batch remove the tags in Leganto
Since the in structures can add the tags to the citation in Leganto, but Library staff may need to remove the tags one by one, it is necessary to add a function that the Library staff can remove the tags in batch.

Display tags on page showing multiple lists a citation appears on
When you click on the "Demand in other lists, other courses" alert, the subsequent page (screenshot included) presents you with a table of all other lists where a citation appears. It would be really useful if this table displayed the tags associated with the citation on each list.
We use tags to inform our purchasing quantities, so when currently reviewing lists, we are having to go in and view the citation on each individual list to check for tags.

Allow the public user interface drop down menus options to be removed
The public user interface for Leganto (for example https://readinglists.rgu.ac.uk/leganto/public/44RGU_INST/searchlists?auth=LDAP) has a several drop down menus on the home page: module status, faculty and subject.
We would like an option that would allow us to remove some of these from the public user interface if they are not in use. For example we do not use the subject option currently but the drop down menu is there and always returns no results when used.

Allow the wording of the module status options on the public home page to be changed
On our public reading lists home page, https://readinglists.rgu.ac.uk/leganto/public/44RGU_INST/searchlists?auth=LDAP, there is a drop down menu for "Module Status" which has the options Active, Inactive and All.
This terminology means very little to the students using the site and we would like to be able to change the wording to something of our choosing e.g Active could be Current Year and so on.
The behind the scenes options would not be altered this is a proposed change for the public user interface only which would allow universities to pick their own terminology.

Reject input if DOI or citation source URL is incorrectly formatted (Leganto instructor UI)
We have seen many instructors create citations manually (rather than using Cite It) with the DOI formatted as a full URL (e.g. "https://doi.org/10.1111/misp.12056" rather than just "10.1111/misp.12056"). This prevents the citation from resolving and linking to the resource as expected.
Similarly, some users will add the citation source URL without the "https://" prefix, or with other formatting issues which prevent it from linking as expected.
A simple fix for this issue would be for Leganto to detect incorrectly formatted DOIs or URLs and to reject input, displaying a tooltip to inform the user of the correct format. Alternatively,…
