  1. Show cached data while updating in the background

Currently when a section is loaded (e.g. timetable), if the device is online it will immediately try and load fresh data, leaving a noticeable delay until anything is shown to the user. If the device is offline and data is cached from a previous session, the cached data will immediately be shown. Most apps with offline functionality will do the update in the background AFTER showing whatever data is cached (rather than not showing anything until new data is loaded). This provides a much more responsible user experience, is it possible on campusm?

  2. Allow items to be sorted in AppManager screens

Allow sorting in the AppManager screens. When these are in different orders on Dev, Test, UAT and Live it makes it more likely an error will occur copying values from one environment to the next. For example if the Profiles are Student and Student SSO in Live and I want the same values in Test but the order is reversed it's more likely I'll copy the wrong value. The more items displayed the more likely this will happen, whereas if the items could be sorted (alphabetically or by sort order) comparing across screens would be easier.

  3. Formatting error

Depending on the number of tiles and their sizes determines if a gutter/border is added to the left and right sides of the iOS app or not. Ideally this would be consistently displayed or not (our preference is that is isn't) - or for this to be optionally turned off or on.

  4. Even a position’s longitude and latitude given by the web service, the native directory search component can only perform a Google / Apple M

Even a position’s longitude and latitude given by the web service, the native directory search component can only perform a Google / Apple Maps search based on the text of the address which is on the service. As a result of it Google / Apple Maps
returns wrong result. It would be great yo use position’s longitude and latitude.

  5. Adding campusM via “Add to Home Screen” on iPhone, prompts the user to login every time they click on the added icon

After adding campusM via “Add to Home Screen” on iPhone, prompts the user to login every time they click on the added icon, it is bit annoying

Suggestion to have logged in after added to home screen.

  6. After logged in Tile rearranging according to the screen size breaks spacial memory

After logged into my.monash, the tiles rearranging itself based on the screen size its a cool teh demo however it it breaks people's spacial memory. A break-point based solution might be better.
Suggestion to have:Defined break points by main device types e.g. desktop, laptop, iPhone. See icloud.com's design: 5 or 7 icons across. No more. No less.

  7. New tabs

Based on user experience, opening everything (all tiles) in new tabs is annoying, for both desktop and mobile. We would to have like to have ability to specify open in new tab or not. The sales force ticket has been raised and the incident no is: #00330231

  8. Add to the selection of phones available for preview in App Manager

Please could the list of phones/devices available for preview be updated in the App Manager.

There have been a significant number of larger screen phones released in the last few years and the app manager currently does not render these devices making it hard to see how campusM looks on a large screen.

  9. Ability to change UTC to local time - feature request

Would like to campusM to show local time instead of UTC.

We'd also like the ability to change this ourselves as we switch between AEST and daylight savings time.

  10. Be able to reorder the feeds list in the native RSS Feeder

We'd like to be able to reorder the displaying list of the RSS feeds in our news tile. Right now there doesn't seem to be a way to do so. It looks like it orders them according to the order you created them.

  11. Show thumbnails on mobile and tablet RSS feeds

The thumbnails in our newsfeed show on desktop but not on mobile and tablet. We would like the option to turn on thumbnails on all devices.

  13. Make App Manager more user friendly

Here's a quick mock of some elements that would make the app manager - app settings easier to use. And also a mock on how to make 'Person roles' more useful.

Rename and reorder group menu items for better daily use.
    Three main groups

    1. Application set-up.
A once off that can be collapsed and out of the way once done.

    2. User management
Profile items order in the only way they can be created and edited.
Profile items rename to be self explanatory

    3. Content
Content publishing moved up as it is more highly used

  14. Review changes before publishing

Before publishing any new content, aek etc to the app it would be useful to be able to view a breakdown of what changes have been made since the last publish.

  15. Ability to order location positions

I’ve noticed when updating Positions in the App Manager and these changes are then published the changed position then appears at the bottom of the list in the app. It appears that the positions in the app are ordered in chronological order from least to most recently updated.

it should be possible to order the list alphabetically (perhaps by default) or the order should be definable in a similar way to the way the descriptions can be.

  17. Notification Navigation

    User request:

"Include up/down or previous/next options when viewing notifications so as to improve ease of navigation, by preventing the user from having to open a notification then press their "back" button to return to the list of notifications in order to view the next one"

  19. Closer integration between Maps and DisabledGo data

Currently we have a maps/locations tile and a DisabledGo tile. I see the DisabledGo information as an extension to the locations as much of the 'initial content is the same (Categories and location names).

It would be beneficial to use the standard maps functionality and see the access information (from DisabledGo) embedded at the point of clicking on a particular location.

Currently a workaround is to use Position Actions to link to DisabledGo information in the app, but I would rather the user stayed within the same section of the app to see this information quickly.

  20. Sync timetable events to native and Office 365 calendars

The most frequent request we receive from students is to sync timetable events to their native and Office 365 calendars.

Whilst this falls outside of the scope of the campusM platform, it is clearly a complementary service which will be of commercial benefit to Ex Libris and will ensure customers maximise ROI on their campusM investment.
