  1. Push notifications for new emails

It'd be really useful for our users to know when they have a new email either as a push notification or as a little notification on the email tile itself. Currently, users have to go into the email tile and then refresh their emails to see if anything new has come through.

  4. Extend campusM URL schema to launch iOS, Android OR web app

    Hi,

Given that campusM is device and platform agnostic. I would like to be able to use the campusM URL schema under a tile to provide mobile/tablet users with the option to launch a mobile app (iOS or Android or prompt to get the app as is now the case) AND also provide the option to go to a web app instead if preferred.

This would give users choice. For example, Outlook 365 and Blackboard web apps have far greater functionality and have quite a good responsive design for small screens. Mobile/tablet users should be able to choose if they…

  5. Ability not to allow users to send empty problems

Can we add an error message to prevent app users reporting problems without selecting any option from the drop-down or entering text.
The app admins can avoid having problems without descriptions.

  6. campusM URL schemes to subscribe to and unsubscribe from alert groups

As a content producer I want to be able to write a page to publicise an alert group and give students an easy way to join it.

  7. widgets

Please add widgets as a feature e.g. next timetable event, next bus etc. Many apps now feature widgets and this will increasingly be the expectation of users of the campusM product.

  8. Allow campus map to zoom in further on Android

The campus map limits Android users to only zoom in to a certain point on the map. It makes dense locations hard to read and decipher between buildings. Please allow more zoom on the campus map in Android.

  9. Show cached data while updating in the background

Currently when a section is loaded (e.g. timetable), if the device is online it will immediately try and load fresh data, leaving a noticeable delay until anything is shown to the user. If the device is offline and data is cached from a previous session, the cached data will immediately be shown. Most apps with offline functionality will do the update in the background AFTER showing whatever data is cached (rather than not showing anything until new data is loaded). This provides a much more responsible user experience, is it possible on campusm?

  10. Even a position’s longitude and latitude given by the web service, the native directory search component can only perform a Google / Apple M

Even a position’s longitude and latitude given by the web service, the native directory search component can only perform a Google / Apple Maps search based on the text of the address which is on the service. As a result of it Google / Apple Maps
returns wrong result. It would be great yo use position’s longitude and latitude.

  11. Formatting error

Depending on the number of tiles and their sizes determines if a gutter/border is added to the left and right sides of the iOS app or not. Ideally this would be consistently displayed or not (our preference is that is isn't) - or for this to be optionally turned off or on.

  12. Sync timetable events to native and Office 365 calendars

The most frequent request we receive from students is to sync timetable events to their native and Office 365 calendars.

Whilst this falls outside of the scope of the campusM platform, it is clearly a complementary service which will be of commercial benefit to Ex Libris and will ensure customers maximise ROI on their campusM investment.

  14. Support emails, set reply-to field to the user's email

Could you please make it so that when a user submits a feedback/problem/idea the email notifications which it sends has the reply-to field automatically set to the user's email address.

This would allow these emails to be fead into our Helpdesk system and set to reply to the right user.

  15. Transitions between banners

As an app content manager, i would like to be able to have more control over the transitions between banners

Give options for transitions between banners (fade etc...) rather than the slide in from left.

  17. Allow roles to be assigned at the pocketguide content/link level

Roles are only available at the tile level. This has presented challenges to how we can organize content and is putting incredible pressure on our home screen real-estate.

We cannot organize into hierarchical buckets and are forced to organize around roles. Breaking up content does not help the user's experience. If we make multiple tiles to target each at a role, then we have redundancy if a person carries both roles.

Additionally, some links are not critical enough to warrant a first-click presence and should be nested.

  18. Ablity to use an image as the app or profile background

Currently you can only specify solid colour as app or profile background. We would like to use a subtle image or at very least a gradient.

  19. Ability to search pocketguides for editors who must find and update existing content

It would be helpful for editors to have search capability within App Settings > Content where pocketguide content is managed.

Right now, we need to comb through every item manually and remember where we added content or hyperlinks when we make a change. We have some redundancy in our content because tiles are based on roles, so it is especially important to catch all instances.

  20. Search box needs an X to delete function

Assuming may apply to other apps too.

When searching, the app remembers the previous search eg IEEE transactions on software engineering.

There is no way to delete this other than backspace for many characters.

Most search boxes have an X function to delete the whole previous search in one go. Please can you add this?
