  1. Allow full-text searching of all objects in an IE, not just one at a time.

There is a way to have Primo index the full text of PDFs that are in Rosetta which can help a user find which Rosetta IE has a document containing their term/phrase but then once the user clicks through to the Rosetta viewer there is no way for the user to know where their search term appears. Having the search term come through to the viewer would be great, but that would only work when there are a few PDFs. For IEs that contain dozens of PDFs the user would have to open each one and search for their term.…

  3. IIIF Universal Viewer - download options - mixed content

Looking at using the IIIF viewer for digitised manuscripts. Diaries and letters.
For this type of material we would like to create
    1. multi-page tif (master)
    2. multipage pdf (delivery)
    3. thumbnail
    4. transcript
When this material is displayed in the viewer we will by default like to display the multipage pdf.
For the download options we would like the ability for customers to
    1. download the multipage pdf
    2. download the current page(s) being displayed (PDF or TIF options)
    3. full transcript

As a researcher, I want to be able to understand the history of an IE including preservation actions.

As an admin, I want to be able to configure the system to display versions of a representation by EventType, so that a user can navigate between different versions of a preservation master or other rep

  11. Make IE Viewer share button configurable

The share button in the IE Viewer currently always shows the browser URL. Often the IE has an OID or some persistent URL that is preferred over the transient viewer URL. Rosetta should allow the URL that is displayed to be configurable. Preferably with an XSLT per institution similar to the IE metadata XSLT.

It is also desirable to allow for more than 1 URL in the share window. That would allow to add URLs for standalone vs embedded viewers, thumbnail view, CMS metadata view, etc.

  13. Update Logical and Physical Structure Maps via Rosetta Back Office

    Hello,

For IEs that have both a physical and a logical structure map, we would like to be able to globally change the default logical and physical structure map labels for Preservation Master in the Rosetta Back Office.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

  15. IIIF Universal Viewer - email Options

Require the option to allow ‘email’ from the viewer.

Would like to configure the at least following information as part of the ‘email’ option

    1. Descriptive metadata
    2. Handle / PI identifier
    3. URL to image

    Allow the customer to enter
    1. Subject
    2. To email address
    3. Their own email address
It may be useful to include a ‘captcha’ block to prevent misuse of this function.

  16. IIIF Universal Viewer - Force Download

When selecting a JPG file to download the following occurs
    1. the file is downloaded
    2. the file is then automatically rendered in the browser
    3. the customer needs to ‘right mouse’ click and download from the browser.
The problem is that the download file is 600dpi but when it is rendered in the browser the browser resets the dpi to 96dpi.
Would prefer the option to ‘force browser to download image files’

  18. New (additional) print / download functionality with configurable / restricted amount of pages

Because of new legal situation we may offer for our users to print or download a part of restricted documents, currently 10% per session.

This means we would like to integrate an additional functionality in our viewers with a download/print button, which calculates and allows to download / print 10 percent of opened IE, only once per viewer session.

Maybe it is possible to enhance the new Rosetta "download all" feature with this requirement? From user guidance we see this at the same position and configurable via delivery rules too.

  19. Configure General Rep Viewer to display logical structmap

The General Representation Viewer only displays the physical structmap if there is one. It should be possible to to configure the Delivery Rule / Representation Profile for the General Rep Viewer to show the logical structmap instead.

  20. Best fit mode for the JWPlayer in IE viewer

With the new IE viewer in version 5.4 the JWPlayer (for video and audio) does not have a best fit parameter meaning that the right-hand side of the player is hidden under the metadata pane. The only way to see the whole player is to close the metadata pane manually or zoom out in your browser. We would like to see a “best fit” parameter added to the JWPlayer in Rosetta so that the behavior would match the jpeg viewer (which fits itself to the frame by default).

    Thanks,
