Exclude suppressed records from browse results
Currently, records that are suppressed from discovery still appear in users' browse search results. As explained in the documentation below:
"If a heading contains suppressed or restricted records:
- These records will be included in the heading's record count.
- When a user selects the heading, these records will be omitted from the results, and the system will display the following message: Some records are not displayed since they are restricted / suppressed from display"We expect that records suppressed from discovery should be suppressed everywhere, including browse. We strongly suggest Ex Libris implement a fix to consider the…

Permalinks that go to View It / Get It tabs
Enable Primo to be configured to create Permalinks that go to View It / Get It tabs to give the user quicker access to a resource.
In order to still be permanent, system administrators should be able to configure an order of preference for the permalinks between view it, get it and details to guarantee the link goes somewhere as long as the resource remains in Primo.

PrimoVE should allow disabling of Aggregator Content Data
Improving OpenAIRE Links in PrimoVE: A Customization Proposal
Many of the OpenAIRE links in our system are currently unreliable. To address this issue, we propose the following enhancements:
1) Aggregator Content Data Class: We recommend introducing an aggregator class specifically
for Aggregator Content Data in the code. This class would allow us to apply custom styling
and control the display of OpenAIRE links.2) CSS Customization: If we had a dedicated <span class="OpenAIRE">, we could easily add CSS
rules to hide OpenAIRE links. Currently, we lack this flexibility, and our users are
inundated with potentially unreliable links. Other Contenre Data…4 votesAdminTamar Ganor (Admin, Ex Libris) respondedHello,
We have made some adjustments for the OpenAIRE records on the content side, you can read more in this Knowledge Article:
The other options you have mentioned may be addressed in the Primo Product side - I have moved this idea to the Primo Idea Exchange for the Product team to review.
Kind regards,

Facet Libraries should display all libraries even when holdings not exist
We like to have a configuration option in facets libraries that would show all the library facets even when holdings not exist. Instead the letter zero would be displayed in parenthesis. Though if it's configurated to not show the numbers then it wouldn't be possible to display all libraries.

Can you update the Primo publication date slider facet to include a frequency graph?
Essentially like the one the University of Leeds Library has in Summon. See The as an example: http://leeds.summon.serialssolutions.com/?fvf=ContentType%2CBook+Review%2Ct&ho=t&l=en&q=law#!/search?ho=t&fvf=ContentType,Book%20Review,t&rf=PublicationDate,1972-01-01:*&l=en&q=law or attached image. Very visual, functional and user friendly way to show the distribution of publications over time.

They appear as "renewable" items that really aren't
In Primo, they appear as "renewable" copies really are not because they already have the maximum number of renovations. Why not say directly "not renewable"?

Don't filter out Primo Central records after clicking Library facets
On a blended scope, when you search in the scope and click a library facet, all the Primo Central records are filtered out because Primo Central records do not have facets:library values in PNX. For example,
(1) Go to our Primo:
http://kosmos.lib.keio.ac.jp/primo_library/libweb/action/search.do?vid=KEIO
(2) For your convenience, click "English" as UI language on the upper-right corner.
(3) On the "All materials" tab, search "cancer" (without quotes). The "All materials" scope is a blended scope that contains both local records and Primo Central records.
(4) On the Library facets, click any library.
Then all the Primo Central records are filtered out. But…

"XML View" in "Send to" section of record display
Librarians often need to look "under the hood" of what is being displayed in the OPAC. It would be great if "Send to" section of the record display included a link for displaying the PNX record.

Total number of records in PCI
In Summon, one can leave the search box blank and press enter. The result page will indicate the number of total records in the central index and the Resource Type facet also provide a breakdown of record numbers by material type. It allows institutions to track the growth of their content and their distribution by format. It will be great the Primo can offer such statistics.

Allow configuration of multiple email addresses in back office
In primo's general configuration, there is a field for a staff email address. This address is used for emails which are generated by primo in response to an issue (e.g. when an IP is automatically blocked because it is suspected of being the source of a DoS attack) and is also displayed to users of primo when an error page is shown. We would ideally like to be able to send these to different email addresses so they can be processed differently. Would it be possible to add a second email address into the primo configuration and use that for…

Allow deletion of old unused pipes
We've got a long list of pipes, including some from an old repository we don't have anymore, and one I accidentally created with the wrong type (regular instead of delete-and-reload). These clutter up the list and make it harder to find the ones I actually use. It would be really good if we could delete the ones we don't want anymore.
(Or at least to be able to hide them, or if nothing else then to be able to rename them to "zzzDON'TUSE" or something.)

Is there anyway that all holdings can be displayed in a "paragraph" format, instead of a line-by-line format.
At present time, Primo displays some holdings records in "paragraph" format, and others in line-by-line format. This is inconsistent, and makes the catalog appear sloppy. When items are in the line-by-line format it becomes time consuming to have to scroll down to find out if an institution holds an item. It would be much better for all holdings to appear in the "paragraph" format and this would then give a much needed consistency to the catalog.

German search character conversion - combined vowels representing umlauted letter as well as umlauted letter
In German, an "umlaut" over a letter can be represented with the two dots over the letter, or as a vowel combination, e.g. Anfänge or Anfaenge. If the user searches any of these (or just the un-umlauted letter), we'd like them to see results that contain all the variants.
Ex Libris investigated the configurations for character conversion in searching/indexing, and suggested filing a Primo enhancement:
" it is not currently possible to convert ü into u and also into ue. This would be an enhancement request. "
Which we will do, but wanted to float it here also.

Search with 'OR' using DeepLinks
Query params in a deep-search are correlated with "AND" by default. It is not possible to correlate two query params of a deep link with a boolean OR.
This feature could be very useful, for instance if you want to search for an author including variant spelling (think of Primo Central Index). Or to query multiply keywords via a single Deep Link.

Primo VE: Add the ability to configure different availability messages by location
We would like to be able to configure availability messages by location. For example, if there are no items, the message "Ask at the Reference Desk" displays. We have a few locations (one for digital materials and one for citations) that do not have physical holdings, so we don't want this message to display for those locations.

Scopes currently allow only 3 location codes. We would like to have that limit increased.

Newspaper index activations should be on the ejournal/newspaper title level rather than on the collection level
The Newspaper Index should be activated on the ejournal/newspaper title level rather than on the collection level.
For example if you activate in PCI a target like Gale Onefile, that has newspaper articles from a range of different titles, the result is radically different in the main Primo index and the Newspaper Index.
The main index will have this activation on ejournal/newspaper title level, so will only display newspaper articles and other content that Alma or SFX says are subscribed.
In the Newspaper Index however the activation is on the Collection level, so that all Gale OneFile newspaper articles are…4 votes -
Notes in My Favourites
Classic interface Primo offered a Note bubble in eShelf, that allowed users to annotate their references. Something our students have found useful.
The new interface however, neither contains migrated eShelf Note bubble data, or alternative functionality to capture annotations.
Labels can be used as a workaround, but this isn't really the functionality our students seek.
I invite others to comment and support this idea.
Thanks
Wayne
