  1. Primo VE be able to get information from AVA and INT holding fields

Currently, Primo VE's normalization rules can only use information from bibliographic records, so it is not possible to obtain and process information from holdings. The classic version of Primo can get this information from the AVA and INT holdings fields but Primo VE can not perform this task.

  2. Differenciate display of GetItOther depending on search scope slot

We're in a consortium, with the search scope slots
    - IZ
    - NZ + CDI

In both search scope slots we want to display the call numbers of all consortium libraries in the full title display.

It is possible to collapse the call numbers from outside our IZ:
    https://www.carli.illinois.edu/products-services/i-share/discovery-interface/custom_package_collapsegetitother

    But we'd like to differenciate:
    - collapsed in search scope slot IZ
    - open in search scope slot NZ + CDI

  3. Browse shelf only to display electronic material

Nowadays, browse Shelf Configuration dialog box, can be configurated with one of the following options:
    - Browse Bibliographic Headings – if you want to display both physical and electronic material in Browse Shelf.
    - Browse Shelf Listing – if you want to display physical items only in Browse Shelf. This is the default option.

I ask for a new option to display only electronic material, this is useful for those libraries that not use a standard classification system being that the physical browse shelf is a disaster.

  4. Incluir Miniaturas portadas Primo

  5. Allow boosting IZ records when displaying FRBR groups

As a member of a consortium, we would like to see our local records displayed first while looking at FRBR groups.

The current sorting and prioritization methods do not help with achieving this.

El material digital visualizado en Primo a través de smartphone permite bajar y copiar los archivos. Sería necesario para proteger derechos de autor inhabilitando esta opción.

  7. Add permalinks to Resource Sharing Form

When a user submits a RS request for an item in Primo, it would be helpful to have a permalink as part of that form. There is a "Source" field, but that isn't helpful in tracking down the original record the user was on. If the metadata in the request doesn't parse into the form correctly (which it sometimes doesn't for less common material types) and the user failed to add more detail, it would be helpful to have the permalink.

  8. Primo VE: Approve/Reject user created tags before adding to display

We want to enable user created tags in Primo VE, however, we need the ability to screen tags BEFORE they get displayed. Currently, tags are on display as soon as they are added.

Ideally, users would "Suggest a Tag" which is initially in a 'hidden' status. At the Manage Tags screen, there would be a checkbox or toggle switch to Approve or Reject each tag.

  9. Chinese records should be ordered by pinyin

For the mainland China customers, it would be great that the Chinese records are ordered by pinyin when choose sort by "Title" or "Author" for result list.

  10. Primo VE's paganation feature choises also to the top of results

Primo VE's new pagination feature's options to change to another page should be added also to the top of results. Or maybe the choise could be floating at the bottom of the page, visible all the time.
Now if you have chosen 50 results per page the choises are pretty long way down.

  11. Provide Toggle Checkbox When Including Results with No Full-Text

Please provide a toggle checkbox when the setting is configured to include results with no full-text. We would like to present all results by default and then let a person remove unwanted results (i.e., results with no full text).

The current setup is the reverse and is contrary to the idea of filtering. People use filters to narrow their search results, not expand them.

Also, I know there is a Full-Text Online facet, but this only appears after you select a resource type facet. Therefore, this method is not convenient to achieve the same thing.

    Thanks,
    Blake

  12. "Guide Me" in Primo

I would like to suggest to add “Guide Me” also in Primo for library users, as it exists already in Alma for library staff.
Most of the libraries would like to have some guides for Primo users about different useful functions. The built-in option of “Guide Me” that the user will receive during his search in Primo can be very useful. This “Guide Me” can be Generic (written by Ex Libris) and include an edit option which will allow the Librarian to edit it.
Examples where it can be relevant: 1. Expand these results. 2. Advanced search. 3. Related articles…

  13. Add expand search (outside Imperial) into advanced search

User Story - When staff and users are creating an advanced search. Sometimes they want to search with an expanded search (outside Imperial). However, currently staff have to run the advanced search then click on expand search (outside Imperial). Solution: It would be better if expand search is added to Advanced search as an option.

  14. Add new criterion to Suppress Dedup/FRBR Rules

For Primo VE, please add the Creator/Author as a criterion to set up a Suppress Dedup/FRBR Rule.
Now record with same title, same date and same publisher, but with different Author are deduplicated, although they are totaly different works.
    Please fix it.

  15. Deliver more accurate faceting of search results by improved use of PNX metadata

Can Ex Libris please look into a system whereby one content type can be privileged over another, supporting more accurate faceting of search results.

    BACKGROUND
We recently discovered a number of CDI records incorrectly displayed the generic TEXT RESOURCE label for journal articles. It seems these records have been supplied by third party suppliers whose policies dictate that their metadata will not be updated, even upon request (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Summon/Content_Corner/Knowledge_Articles/Summon%3A_Fixes_to_Aggregator_Content_Data).

In many cases the PNX metadata provided indications as to what these really were, even though the allocated resource type was TEXT RESOURCE.

  16. Ability to limit by type of material the view of digitization request in Primo

In our institution we would like to have the ability to apply a new parameter in the display logic rules of PRIMO based on material type. For instance to show the digitization form link only for specifics types such journals or reports, but not for books.
I hope this idea seems interesting for the Primo community.

    Many thanks

  17. [My Account] Display Requested media field in Requests View

It would be useful if Requested media field could be configured as a field to display in Requests View(My Account). Currently, the My Account page in Primo only displays limited information for ILL requests so that a user cannot see the full bibliographical details of ILL requests. The My Account page should provide more information to users. Lynne Porat also shared a similar idea in 2017. I appreciate your help in advance.

  19. Show ALL data recorded in faceted fields

When a search is done on a faceted field, not all the possible results in any given facet are shown. There is no logical resulting display of faceted values. For example, if one searches for the keyword "Novels" in our sandbox, and then goes to the Creator Demographic Group facet (data from MARC 386 field), you get a choice of some terms like Algerians (53), Americans (1464), Austrians (353) and so on. But Canadians and Germans are not shown in this list, even though there are many records that have 386 Canadians or Germans. If you do a keyword search…

  20. Improve Primo Search Algorithms

When our users look for a book in the Primo Search Portal they expect that the Primo Search behaves like a Google Search, i.e. they expect that Primo finds books with titles or metadata containing words similar to those in their query. Unfortunately, the Primo Search is very sensitive to the exact spelling of the words in the query. If the search query is slightly inaccurate, the book is not found in Primo. I tried such unsuccessful search queries on www.amazon.de, and Amazon usually found the correct book: Amazon showed the correct hit on top of the list (see…
