Retain search field keywords when switching to Browse Search
The following is a request from one of our teaching faculty. "When a subject heading search is performed in [the search scope for my institution's holdings] and the patron then wants to browse other variants of the subject heading and clicks on BROWSE in the top bar, the search box is blank. Then the patron has to retype (or if they are experienced and have copied the subject heading) paste it in and perform the search again. It seems like a simple fix to make the search term sticky so it would automatically populate the browse box."

Syndetics Unbound on Brief Results
Syndetics Unbound enrichment elements can now be displayed on the search results pages of various discovery systems, but not Primo.
Providing this integration would better showcase Unbound's elements which are very popular with users but are somewhat hidden on the full display page.

Add the 300 Marc field as one that is keyword searchable.
Adding the 300 field as a searchable field in the keyword index would be a useful feature for users searching for parts of a music score

In Primo VE and in consortial Alma setup, display print and electronic inventory even if dedupe/frbr is enabled
In a consortial Alma setup with a Network Zone and with Primo VE, our consortia has noticed that if an Institution Zone (IZ) has enabled dedupe/frbr in a Primo View and there is print and electronic inventory for a title, the print inventory of other IZ’s is completely hidden and only the electronic displays.
See “enabled dedupe frbr1.png” https://wrlc-gwu.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/discovery/search?query=any,contains,doing%20bayesian%20data%20analysis%20a%20tutorial%20with%20r%20jags%20and%20stan&tab=WRLC_P_MyInst_All&search_scope=WRLC_P_MyInst_All&vid=01WRLC_GWA:test&offset=0
As you can see in “enabled dedupe frbr2.png” only the electronic inventory displays.
https://wrlc-gwu.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/permalink/01WRLC_GWA/1b1hkge/alma9912376416404101Compare with an IZ in the same consortia which has disabled dedupe/frbr to prove that physical inventory exists.

Automatically reopen all the closed tabs after Primo timeout when sign in again
Some of our patrons like to use Primo with many open tabs, each tab can contain one item they are interested in and want to read/check out. The problem is that if they spend longer time than the timeout limit (one hour for our instance), Primo will automatically log out and close all the tabs. And the patron cannot re-claim/re-open closed tabs after sign in again. It has been a recurring complaint and we think extending the timeout limit is not a good solution. Our expectation for Primo is that when patrons sign in again, the lost/closed tabs from the…

Have the option to configure portfolio views in VE to more than 25
Classic Primo allowed this via Configuration > Resources > Other Settings > enableviewitshowall_results = true but this does not work in VE

Primo VE: Please add 773x to the index on ISSN
When searching on ISSN in Primo, not only journals are found, but also articles because articles in CDI have a data field ISSN.
This is not the case for locally catalogued articles because following the MARC standard, the ISSN of the journal is catalogued in tag 773$x.
Not only are locally catalogued articles not found when searching on ISSN, but also the facet on Journal title doesn't work for these local articles.
Therefor, our question is to add tag 773$x to the index on ISSN to allow for a consistent search experience for local articles and CDI articles.104 votes -

Customise Purchase Request form by material type
We are setting up our different forms, and one thing that I would love to see for the Purchase Request form in future is the ability to restrict which material types are able to be requested, and also to add a different material type as a radio button.
In our form, we don't want patrons to be able to request to purchase journals, but we would like to have the option for them to select DVD (or just AV items as a general category) instead.

Allow A-Z facet to have both title and alternative title
Use case: Users will look for databases and journals by the name they know, which often doesn't match the official title in the 245 field. We would like the ability to add more than one entry to the atoz facet so that users can find items by both the title and alternative title.
Example:
245 Education Database - under E
246 Proquest Education Database - under PThis would improve the user experience and findability for our subscription resources.

Pin to the result last viewed in Primo after closing the item record
The current Primo design returns the user to a random earlier page, not necessarily to the same record, after clicking on a search result to open up the item record. So currently, after viewing result no. 24, and closing it, it could return you to result 11 in the Primo search results page.

Suppress ellipsis in journals holdings summary
When journals holdings are displayed in Primo VE, if the holding record has the field 866 (configured in Discovery> Holdings Display Configuration), is shown three points (ellipsis) that lead the user to think that we are still receiving issues but really the journal is not open. this.
Example: https://polibuscador.upv.es/permalink/34UPV_INST/m0gkge/alma996886043803706 https://www.screencast.com/t/sIu1QtKv0However, when the holdings record does not have this 866 field, it does not display the three dots.
Example https://polibuscador.upv.es/permalink/34UPV_INST/m0gkge/alma996886281903706 https://www.screencast.com/t/NUcSikfAKWe believe that these three points should disappear since with the link "See more" the user can see the additional information corresponding to field 866) and not show ...…

Show printed holdings in brief display when both printed and electronic exist
When having articles with both printed and electronic holdings the printed holdings doesn't get displayed in Brief Display until you click to the Full Display. If you then return to Brief Display you will see the printed holdings. Look at screencast: https://www.screencast.com/t/6v3E0HBQ The printed holdings should be displayed directly in Brief Display without having to click to full display.

Primo VE be able to get information from AVA and INT holding fields
Currently, Primo VE's normalization rules can only use information from bibliographic records, so it is not possible to obtain and process information from holdings. The classic version of Primo can get this information from the AVA and INT holdings fields but Primo VE can not perform this task.

Differenciate display of GetItOther depending on search scope slot
We're in a consortium, with the search scope slots
- IZ
- NZ + CDIIn both search scope slots we want to display the call numbers of all consortium libraries in the full title display.
It is possible to collapse the call numbers from outside our IZ:
https://www.carli.illinois.edu/products-services/i-share/discovery-interface/custom_package_collapsegetitotherBut we'd like to differenciate:
- collapsed in search scope slot IZ
- open in search scope slot NZ + CDI1 vote -
Browse shelf only to display electronic material
Nowadays, browse Shelf Configuration dialog box, can be configurated with one of the following options:
- Browse Bibliographic Headings – if you want to display both physical and electronic material in Browse Shelf.
- Browse Shelf Listing – if you want to display physical items only in Browse Shelf. This is the default option.I ask for a new option to display only electronic material, this is useful for those libraries that not use a standard classification system being that the physical browse shelf is a disaster.
