  1. To have a “Saved Query” feature at the top of the search results at Journal Search page

    Currently, only the general search has this "Saved Query" feature in the search result. We would like to have this feature when searching at Journal Search page too.

  2. Contextual Relationships - chapters

    1. Only display chapters for the volume being viewed, i.e. chapters from vol. 2 of the Cambridge Ancient History rather than chapters from all the volumes (230 in all!)
    2. Display chapters in page number order ( we can’t figure out the logic behind the current order of display)
    3. For multi-volume titles, a “other volumes in this title” link in addition to other chapters from the same volume

  3. Add spacing between multiple entries of same marc field

    Often, and especially in archival description, we use the same marc fields several times in the same record. So, more than 1 520 (description/scope&content) or more than 1 545 (bio/hist note) and many others.

    The current display in primo ve kinda "smooshes" them all together. Would be great for readability if there was at least a space between multiple entries of the same field in any given record. Attachment has example in primo ve and one in - believe it or not - digitool, where there are extra spaces between each of the repeated fields. Much easier to read.

  4. Search Loans within user Account

    We have users who would like to be able to search within their list of currently checked out items. At present, the only options are (1) export the list of loans to BibTeX or RIS and search them in another program, or (2) sort by checkout date or title. When faculty have 400 items checked out, neither of these options is feasible. They would like a search box option within their account to search across all the items they have checked out.

  5. My Library Card: Indicate number of loans at each library

    Listed in the left margin of the My Library Card page in our multi-campus / multi-library environment are the names of each library from which a user has requested or borrowed an item. To save the user time in finding relevant, timely information, we'd like the number of items currently "in play" (on loan, requested, with associated fines, etc.) displayed next to each library in that list.

  6. Incorrect citation formatting

    Below is an email that I got from one of our reference librarians:

    Here’s a citation issue, we’re coping with.
    I expect you can’t fix this because it looks like a broad indexing issue, but can it be reported?

    PROBLEM ONE (this affects MLA & APA & Chicago)
    The Primo citations often include extra information, for example:
    -- that it is a “report” or includes an “author abstract” or “Brief Article”

    In these cases, it looks like it stems from Primo including too much info in the title field.

  8. time to reshelve

    When "time to reshelve" hours are set in Alma, the reshelving status only displays in the "Get It" section of the full record display. It also needs to display in the brief record display. A patron who only sees the record in the list after a search won't know that the item isn't physically on the shelf unless they click on the full display and scroll down to Get It.   9. Separate Reviews from Book Chapters in Related Records Display

    If you turn on the Related Records functionality in Primo VE, you get Chapters and Reviews. There's no way to select only that only chapters or only reviews display. It's both or nothing.

    Users should be able to choose the length of the result page between 10 and 100 results per page according to predefined steps.
    The option to do so should be available for unsigned users and should be persisted if a user is signed in.

  11. Allow boosting IZ records when displaying FRBR groups

    As a member of a consortium, we would like to see our local records displayed first while looking at FRBR groups.

    The current sorting and prioritization methods do not help with achieving this.

  12. Have Location Facet appear ONLY AFTER a Library facet is selected

    For large library systems, many locations of stacks, eg. exist making the location facet appear very confusing to users. The LibraryLocation facet is problematic because many library locations are beyond the limit of 20 that's possible to view.

  15. Filter collections (in Primo) to show 'online' or 'physical' items

    Currently, when you click into a collection on Primo, there are a few sorting options (relevance, date, title, author), but it would be useful to let users see only 'online' items or only 'physical' items (libraries with more than one site may want to let users see physical items at particular sites).

    Primo managed via Back Office has powerful functionality to control access information in Primo for all our local records.
    This includes the aligned features of availability statements and Get It / View It by Delivery & Scoping rules, Links rules for all harvested data sources, and the option to build custom mapping tables for references in various rules, all of which can be married with top level facets by Facet rules.

  17. Option to bulk export normalization rules Primo VE

    We would like to make a bulk export for backup of the normalization rules that we have set up in Primo VE.

    At the moment this functionality does not exist but would be very helpful for us. At the moment if we make changes to the normalization rules it is easy to accidentally delete the entire set of rules for one field. It is also not possible to easily roll back a change that we made.

    Therefore it would be useful to have the export option, to have an extra copy of all the normalization rules as a backup.

  18. Add option to control the visibility of collections in Primo and Collections Lobby

    Give customers the option to control the visibility of individual collections in Primo and on the Collections Lobby page.

    Use case: Our institution would like to have a limited number of centrally curated and managed collections that can be viewed in the Collections Lobby. But we would also like to give librarians the option to create their own collections for special projects, exhibits, or courses, which would not be displayed in the Lobby but could still be made accessible via direct link.   19. Pre-populate the address fields when personal delivery options are selected in an item request from Primo VE

    In the November 2023 release it is now possible for patrons to update their registered home or office address (or other personal delivery address) while requesting personal delivery in Primo VE. When the patron selects one of the addresses for pickup in the request form all the address information is blank in Primo VE even when that field type is populated in Alma. This means the patron will think they have to fill out the pickup location information for every request.   20. Configuration Option to view all links available in Primo VE (both direct and link resolver)

    Please give us an option to display all links (both direct and link resolver) for all possible links in Primo VE. I have checked the "Display All Links in Full Display for CDI" which gives the direct link first, then students have to click "Show More" dropdown for subscribed content links. It would be preferable to have all available links display without students having to click the dropdown. And also, the subscribed links usually have coverage dates included so quicker for students as well.
