Do not show availability for CDI/Alma records with matching GTI ID
Occasionally, CDI records will show availability for physical items (holdings/digitization offers via Rapido), and the physical records will show online availability. To our understanding, this is due to a matching GTI ID. We were informed in a SF case that it is currently not possible to resolve this. As this leads to confusion for our libraries (mainly digitization requests for an electronic resource) we would be glad if a solution could be found to no longer show these incorrect availabilities (or at least for the digitization requests to show the physical record they were actually placed on).

Hover-over article abstract in PRIMO VE
Currently, patrons need to go into the full article record from the brief results page to read abstracts.We would like to suggest that PRIMO VE provide the user with a hover-over article abstract on the brief results page so patrons can skim abstracts before going into the full record.

Personal name (600/610/611) should be included in Browse subject of Primo VE
Currently Primo VE does not search 600/610/611 as part of a Browse subject search. That means that a patron cannot view or browse through all of the subject headings for books about “Luther, Martin” or “Morrison, Toni.” The 600/610/611 fields are searchable in Alma as “names” but not browsable in Primo VE as subjects. "view in discovery" - a link with flaws
The "view in discovery" function produces only a rudimentary link structure, which is not identical to the link structure produced by a call by end users accessing a portfolio directly in PrimoVE.
Thus, the "view in discovery" function, which is designed to verify the presentation of portfolios in PrimoVE that are administered in Alma, is currently of limited use because administrators cannot assume that the view produced by this function actually corresponds to the view encountered by end users.
For adequate quality assurance, it would be necessary if administrators could freely customize the link structure of the "view in discovery"…

Improved Display of Coverage Statements for Taylor and Francis Journals autoholdings collection.
Taylor and Francis adds multiple coverage rows to reflect the different purchasing methods. For example, one line may represent perpetual access while another indicates current access. This is why some coverage statements appear to overlap.
We propose to:
1. Retain the purchase type (e.g., perpetual, current) for each coverage statement within Alma.
2. Present only non-overlapping coverage statements to users in primo.
This enhancement is planned as an upgrade to the current functionality, but there is no set release date as of now.

Visualización doble de registros con copias impresas y electrónicas activadas en Primo Central
En los casos en que disponemos de un registro bibliográfico con ejemplares en formato impreso, copia electrónica activada en la "Comunity Zone", y además se ha activado también en Primo Central para garantizar la indexación y la capacidad de recuperación a nivel de texto completo, el registro bibliográfico se visualiza en Primo VE como si fueran dos registros bibliográficos exactamente con la misma información (códigos de barras, signaturas y ubicaciones duplicados).

Changing the language in Primo should also update the preferred language in Alma
We have a mix of users with different languages at our university, but we cannot get a reliable language setting from the SIS feed. Therefore it is important that the users can edit the language preference themself to get letters from the library in the correct language.
Today, changing the language in Primo only changes the interface language in Primo, but we would like it to also update the preferred language in Alma.

Option to create additional links for records from external data sources in Primo VE
At time, in Primo VE, it is only possible to create a link to the resource and a link to the thumbnail in the Import Profile for external data sources. In Primo with a BO, however, it is possible to create nearly as many links in the PNX links section as you like. We use these links a lot for the records of our many different data sources, e.g. create links to an abstract or tables of content, links to related titles, and many mores. Items loaned to Resource Sharing do not show as included in local scopes
Primo indexes one location for each item - the current location. In the case of resource sharing, the current location for the item is the temporary location. Therefore, when you search from a local scope, items in the resource sharing location are not found.
We would like to have the scope reflect the permanent location not the temporary location.

Change the normalization rules for local resource type book and create a new publiction type called Monographic series. Field Pickup in Resource sharing form with default to leave blank
Now in the Pickup field, the first library in alphabetical order always appears by default. Many users click ENTER without having correctly filled in the Pickup field.

Index MARC 250 (Edition Statement) in Primo VE
The MARC 250 field is not included in the out-of-the-box indexing in Primo VE according to the documentation. Users frequently include the edition in their searches because it is referenced in a citation they've found. It seems like it would be a worthy inclusion in the keyword index.

Make is possible to display Available From Date and Available To Date to users in Primo
The "Control the Availability of Portfolios Automatically at a Pre-defined Date" feature, introduced in the February 2023 release (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Release_Notes/2023/Alma_2023_Release_Notes?mon=202302BASE), allows libraries to enter an Available From Date and Available To Date in portfolios, and the portfolio will be automatically deactivated after the Available To Date. This feature is designed to be useful in cases where libraries lease a piece of content (typically, a streaming film) for a limited period of time.

Improve advanced searching in non-Roman languages so a "Title" + "Starts with" search parameter queries the MARC 880 field
When combined, the “Title” + “Starts with” advanced search parameters do not query the linked MARC 880 field. This prevents users from successfully using this index for non-Roman language search queries.
When the ExLibiris Development Team reviewed this issue previously, they found that Primo VE's design excludes the 880 field from Title Starts With indexing due to index size limitations.
We’ve been advised that “Title Contains” and “Title is Exact” do index the 880 field, and can serve as a workaround. However, users expect consistent search behavior across all indexes, regardless of language used in the search query.

Enhance DC XML normalization routines for external sources (PrimoVE)
In Primo Back Office, there is 86 inbuilt transformational routines for MARC21 and Dublin Core data normalization (e.g. “Take first words”, “Get highest number and normalize last digit”, and “Remove HTML tags”). Most have been translated for MARC21 in PrimoVE by various people but, because of limited regex and Xpath functionality, few have been translated into Dublin Core XML normalization routines for PimoVE.
We would like to see the implementation of full regex and/or XPath / XQuery functionality (or similar) to allow all Back Office normalization routines to be created for PrimoVE.

It would be useful to display the number of results associated with a search query when viewing Search History in Primo VE.

Available online in Research assistant as default.
It would be beneficial to be able to make what is under the refinement icon in the search box more visible. It would be even better if we could make the "Available online" button be checked by default.
As it is now it is so hidden that users aren't aware that this is a possible feature. The fact that the user needs to select the refinement icon to see this possibility isn't optimal.

Network Zone suppress dedup/frbr should have a library/location tree
The Network Zone should have the ability to suppres dedup/frbr at the library>location which exists when suppressing dedup/frbr for IZ only bib records from displaying in Primo VE.
IZ only bib records suppress dedup/frbr allows a library to suppress on the permanent physical location in a library. New records added to the location automatically suppress dedup/frbr in Primo VE once this has been configured.

Show e-collections activated in the NZ in the Database Search of IZs
In our network we activate certain Open Access e-resources in the Network Zone. These e-collections are activated for every IZ without restriction. Some of our Institution Zones are using the Database Search to allow Patrons to search for their e-collections. Unfortunately, the Database Search is showing only e-collections that are activated and have inventory in the IZ. It does not show any of the Network Zone e-collections.
We would like to have the option to include the Network zone activated e-collections in the Database Search of the IZs.
