Ability to collapse all sections in the get it section by default
User Story: Many of our librarians use Primo to search for our records. They would prefer to be able to see the barcode information on all items in the get it section. As soon as they open the record. Rather than having to click each one, show the extra information.
Solution: we are requesting the ability to have all items collapsed by default in a specific view. So that library staff can see the item information, once they open the record.0 votes -
Static URL for Pay Fines link
The Pay Fines link in the User Account/Library Card interface should allow for a static URL link instead of including the JWT information at the end of the URL.

Retain search field keywords when switching to Browse Search
The following is a request from one of our teaching faculty. "When a subject heading search is performed in [the search scope for my institution's holdings] and the patron then wants to browse other variants of the subject heading and clicks on BROWSE in the top bar, the search box is blank. Then the patron has to retype (or if they are experienced and have copied the subject heading) paste it in and perform the search again. It seems like a simple fix to make the search term sticky so it would automatically populate the browse box."

Not needed after UI improvements
With the Alma 2021 March-release there was introduced more logic to the handling of the Not needed after field coming from the requests from Primo.
This new functionality has made the Not needed after more useful than before and we have activated this in the request forms.
We do however have two suggestions for improvements:
1) In the request form there is a calendar icon that indicates that it is a date-field. The user expectation is to click on the icon, but it is not clickable. If the user cliks in the field they get a date-picker. Could the calendar-icon…

Capitals in Tags
Tags work currently only in lower case and this is OK for concepts. But when users need to tag regions and countries, the lower case creates a disturbance. Could it be possible to have tags respect Capitals?

Ranking of search results by Resource Sharing Library
Concerning search results in Primo : could it be made possible to rank different holdings of the same title by Resource Sharing Library of the patron? This way the patron would see on top of the list the item that is the easiest accessible to him. At present patrons often request items from another library because they did not notice the title is also available at their own library.

Display all editions of FRBR items even when using scroll wheel or right button
In brief display in Primo, we can choose what will be displayed when a user clics on an FRBR title :
- a single item / a single edition in full display chosen by an algorithm ;
- or the list of all editions in brief display. This is what we have chosen to display, so our users can't miss the fact that we have several editions of the same book. But it actually only works if the user uses the left button of a mouse.
When using scroll wheel or right button, you always have an item chosen by…

Configure journals A-Z so titles from key suppliers can be ranked higher than lesser known suppliers/OA titles
We would like to apply some configuration to the Journals A-Z in Primo?
We have noticed that when browsing our A-Z the first few titles that appear under each letter do not tend to reflect our health and social care focused collection. We would like to have options to omit or give more weight to certain collections/titles in the A-Z so more prominent titles appear at the top rather than titles that are unlikely to have any significant use for our patrons.
One example would be under the letter L. We would hope a title such as The Lancet would…

Direct linking for digital objects to become customizable
At Leiden University we would like the direct linking to be customizable. If a record is related to both an electronic and a digital service, the electronic service is now preferred. We would like to be able to choose the digital service to be chosen.

[My Account] Display Requested media field in Requests View
It would be useful if Requested media field could be configured as a field to display in Requests View(My Account). Currently, the My Account page in Primo only displays limited information for ILL requests so that a user cannot see the full bibliographical details of ILL requests. The My Account page should provide more information to users. Lynne Porat also shared a similar idea in 2017. I appreciate your help in advance.

Ability to customise resource sharing status messages displayed in MyAccount Requests tab
We would like the ability to customize patron-facing status messages during the interlibrary loan process.
• Client feedback clearly indicates that status messages that are meaningful for library staff can be misleading to the Primo end user. Note: The Borrowing RS Request Statuses Alma configuration page (Alma configuration / Fulfillment / Resource Sharing) does not include external description / customisation options like other mapping/code tables, e.g. Physical Locations or Discovery Interface Display Logic Labels.
• The “Pick up” message gives the impression that the item is ready for pickup. UNSW patrons sometimes go to the library to pick up the…

Clearer messaging around simultaneous user restriction in Alma Digital
We would like a configurable message that lets the user know they have been denied access to an item in Alma Digital because of the simultaneous user restriction. Currently, we are only able to configure a generic access denied message.
Without specific messaging it causes a lot of confusion with users and work for staff explaining what the issue is.

Differenciate display of GetItOther depending on search scope slot
We're in a consortium, with the search scope slots
- IZ
- NZ + CDIIn both search scope slots we want to display the call numbers of all consortium libraries in the full title display.
It is possible to collapse the call numbers from outside our IZ:
https://www.carli.illinois.edu/products-services/i-share/discovery-interface/custom_package_collapsegetitotherBut we'd like to differenciate:
- collapsed in search scope slot IZ
- open in search scope slot NZ + CDI1 vote -
Collection Discovery – enable alphabetical sort for each language
Hi
We are planning to use collection discovery by subject area and would like to sort the collection overview page alphabetically by title of collection.
Our Primo VE interface is multilingual. We'd like to translate the collection names, with correct alphabetical sort in all interface languages.
At the moment this is not possible: alphabetical sort is by the English titles.

New customization package = force browser cache refresh
Primo VE's browser cache is much too strong.
After the upload of a new customization package I have to check the changes in a new private window and tell my colleagues to test in a new private window.
Recently I got sent a fresh screenshot by a patron which showed a styling element that we have changed several months ago.
We can't ask our patrons to use Primo VE in a private browser window if they want to see the up to date version.
=> When uploading an adapted customization package, there should be a forced refresh of the cache…

Increase the number of local fields for search and facets
If the library has many specialized and local fields it should be possible to improve the user search without the build-in restriction of 10 locally defined fields. There should not be a limit to use of local fields.

Syndetics Unbound on Brief Results
Syndetics Unbound enrichment elements can now be displayed on the search results pages of various discovery systems, but not Primo.
Providing this integration would better showcase Unbound's elements which are very popular with users but are somewhat hidden on the full display page.

Add very compact display option, 1 row per title
Please add a really compact additional display option
– 1 row per title
– no iconto allow an overview / quick scanning of long result lists.
When I do a search on my laptop, I see two titles on the result list and the start of a third.
Default number of results for the compact display should be 100 or more.
And it should be a setting in the patron account.
