Allow the view code field to be editable
To enable seamless updates to the Primo interface it would be useful for the Code for the view to be editable.
This would allow you to continue to use the same public address for your Primo instance, but switch the view to a new one by changing the code in the Back Office. For example, it would allow you to switch from a the current live view to a new one.
Currently the field cannot be edited (see screenshot).

"Show Source Record" to users with Alma Staff Role only
Although we can now display the MARC record in the UI using the "Show source records" we feel this feature is only really useful for Library staff and not for the vast majority of users who will not find it useful and will just add clutter to the full record for the majority. Ideally we would like the "Show source records" to be linked to the Alma library staff role so it will only display when our library staff are logged into Primo.
Currently the only option to display this link in the UI is to have it appear for…

Opening results in a new tab - stop it defaulting to the top of the list
In the new Library Search, every time I open a search result in a new tab, the list of results resets to the top of the list. This is very annoying, especially if i have already had to load 3 or more pages of results.

Allow custom "Username" and "Password" labels when using multiple modes of authentication
For institutions using multiple modes of authentication (such as LDAP for externally-managed users and Alma for internally-managed users), it is not currently possible to customize the "Username" and "Password" labels to have custom labels display for each authentication method. The "User Login" code table only provides one field for customizing the username or password, which displays for all methods of authentication. It would be more helpful to all users (and particularly internally-managed users) if we could specify on the login page which information users should enter as their "username" and "password."

Please provide an option to search items from sub-collections together
Please provide an option to search items from sub-collections together. Now users only can search the items in the current collection but usually the items in sub-collections are also relevant result for the search query. Some may think they can just go back to the basic search page and search again but the others would think it's uncomfortable because they are already familiar with Windows File search function.

Display order of portfolio at Catalogue (can we prioritize the links to be displayed?)
For title with multiple portfolios, come from different platforms, I wonder if there is any way to prioritize the links according to our needs, e.g.
Criteria 1: portfolio with access to the current issues will be displayed first, instead of the portfolio with closed holdings.
Criteria 2: purchase portfolio will be displayed before the free access portfolios
Criteria 3: platform with less broken link reports received will be displayed before the one with more broken link reports

Collection Discovery – enable alphabetical sort for each language
Hi
We are planning to use collection discovery by subject area and would like to sort the collection overview page alphabetically by title of collection.
Our Primo VE interface is multilingual. We'd like to translate the collection names, with correct alphabetical sort in all interface languages.
At the moment this is not possible: alphabetical sort is by the English titles.

Ability to collapse all sections in the get it section by default
User Story: Many of our librarians use Primo to search for our records. They would prefer to be able to see the barcode information on all items in the get it section. As soon as they open the record. Rather than having to click each one, show the extra information.
Solution: we are requesting the ability to have all items collapsed by default in a specific view. So that library staff can see the item information, once they open the record.0 votes -
Switching number of titles per page should not jump to top of page
Hi
At the moment, the switch for to more titles per page is only possible at the bottom of a page
https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/308176-primo/suggestions/43465527-display-pagination-navigation-on-top-of-resultpageBut when I do this, I get moved back to the top of the page. This is bad UX. My position on the page should not change.

Ability to collapse elements in full title display per view and per search scope slot
Please add the ability to collapse elements in full title display
- per view
- per search scope slotWe are in a consortium, and some information in the full title display is confusing for our patrons and we have no way to hide it.
We would like a setting to collapse each element of the full title display separately. This setting needs to be configurable per view and within the view per search scope slot.
Example:
We have the search scope slots
- our IZ
- NZ & CDISection 'Other loan and request options' should be collapsed in…

Primo - "related titles sorted alphabetically by title" also for Primo direct / classic not VE
In Primo VE one can have related titles sorted alphabetically by title
This is particularly useful for multipart, journals, and in general complex record structure. Unfortunately, this is possible only in Primo VE, but not in classic Primo.
It would be useful if the 2 versions of Primo were aligned also regarding this very useful feature.0 votes
