Ability to collapse elements in full title display per view and per search scope slot
Please add the ability to collapse elements in full title display
- per view
- per search scope slotWe are in a consortium, and some information in the full title display is confusing for our patrons and we have no way to hide it.
We would like a setting to collapse each element of the full title display separately. This setting needs to be configurable per view and within the view per search scope slot.
Example:
We have the search scope slots
- our IZ
- NZ & CDISection 'Other loan and request options' should be collapsed in…

Show both in-text and reference citation formats for APA 7
With version 7 of the American Psychological Association (APA 7) citation format, there are two formats: one for in-text and one for reference citations.
The first (in-text) is to be used within the body of the text; the second (reference) is to be used in a bibliography.
There are differences between the two styles. For more information on the differences, please see https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/citations and https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/references.
It looks like when Primo uses the Citation Style Language (CSL) Repository (https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles) to add styles, it only picks up the In-text format citation from the APA 7 definition on the CSL…

move the favicon to the top level (outside /img) to fix Firefox bookmarks
Hi
The favicon for our view is stored in the /img folder within the customization package.
For Firefox to display it correctly when I have the URL in my bookmark bar, the favicon needs to be outside the /img folder.
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1230644
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1226447"the saved bookmark favicon image was located in other than the website server file path root directory which was the original W3C standard for favicon placement for web browsers to loom for it"
As long as the favicons are stored within /img, they display ok in the tabs of Firefox, but get lost when I drag the URL…

Main menu on desktop - let us decide how many links to show
Hi
On desktop, the main menu shows 6 links and then "..." to show the rest.
On desktop, there would be ample space to just show all the links instead of hiding some of them.
https://utk.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/discovery/search?vid=01UTN_KNOXVILLE:01UTK&lang=en
https://union.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/discovery/search?vid=01UCNY_INST:01UCNY_INST&lang=en
https://primo.hope.edu/discovery/search?sortby=rank&vid=01COL_HOPE:HOPE
https://col-westernsem.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/discovery/search?vid=01COL_WTS:WTS&lang=en
On the other hand, maybe a library wants to hide some links behind the "...", but wants to show fewer than 6 links before the dots.
Please make this more flexible.
Thank you
ManuelaOur own main menu is at 6 links at the moment, but we plan to add more links https://basel.swisscovery.org/discovery/search?search_scope=UBS&vid=41SLSP_UBS:live&lang=en

Show exact number of results when browsing instead of 20+
When browsing subjects in Primo, if a result has more than 20 results attached to a single subject entry, that subject displays "20+ records" instead of a specific number, which is what Primo shows for any total less than 20. This happens because Primo uses the Alma browse functionality, but this is not as informative to users as it should be. Instead, users have to click the heading before they can see the exact count of associated records.

Switching number of titles per page should not jump to top of page
Hi
At the moment, the switch for to more titles per page is only possible at the bottom of a page
https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/308176-primo/suggestions/43465527-display-pagination-navigation-on-top-of-resultpageBut when I do this, I get moved back to the top of the page. This is bad UX. My position on the page should not change.

Support html in GES public notes in How to Get it section
We are considering moving a couple of our general electronic services from the "Links" section to the "How to Get it" section. However HTML tags in the public note are not recognised when we change it from Links to How to Get It.
See cases: 00987379 & 00987406
I would have expected that public notes should always support HTML tags as they are exposed publicly via Primo.

Default Sortting option for the historic loans
When opening the historic loans tab , the "Sort by" dropdown default value is empty and the results are not sorted.
So historic loans details are shown at random.
Only when the user selects the desired "Sort by" value as "Returned date - newest", the results will sort. Please make the default option "Returned date - newest" for the historic loans.
Then users can immediately check the book with the latest return date. Thanks in advanced.

Index local in Advanced search
We have a local index with a closed list of values and we would like to present only this list of values to users doing an advanced search.
An example with the local index "Original language" based on the 905 field. This field contains three possible values: Yes, No, Bilingual.
We would like for an advanced search, when the user chooses the Original Language index, to present the closed list that shows three possible values: Yes No Bilingual

Allow A-Z facet to have both title and alternative title
Use case: Users will look for databases and journals by the name they know, which often doesn't match the official title in the 245 field. We would like the ability to add more than one entry to the atoz facet so that users can find items by both the title and alternative title.
Example:
245 Education Database - under E
246 Proquest Education Database - under PThis would improve the user experience and findability for our subscription resources.

View full record in results view
The current behaviour to move from search results to exploring a record is to open a pop up to view the full record.
This takes the user away from the results set they are working with.
There is feedback that some users dislike pop ups.
We have also observed that many users open full records in a new tab in order to have records of interest open in tabs to go explore in detail later whilst continuing to work with the search results.
To match user behaviour in exploring search results I'd like to suggest an option to open the…5 votes -
Search Limiters for Accessibility Features
As a cataloger, I would like to propose a new option to filter search results for items with accessibility features (captions, audio descriptions, large print, etc). We are in the process of adding 041 subfields (mostly p and q), and 341 and 532 fields to our records in order to help users more easily identify items intended for those with hearing or visual disabilities. Ideally, this feature would utilize that input based on the presence of indicators in the 341 or 532 fields (i.e., 0 and 1) or controlled vocabulary terms to create search facets or indications (similar to the…

Allow custom error pages if View Code does not exist
Currently any unkown View Code in the URL (e.G: vid=PRIMA) leads to empty page and rotating diamonds.
In the background Angular is unable to fetch the configuration URL /primo_library/libweb/webservices/rest/v1/configuration/PRIMA which is answered by an HTTP 406 error from the server.
To the enduser its completely unclear where the problem is located, did she/he make a mistake or is there a problem on the server.
I would suggest to provide at least generic error page (View Code not found) and respond by HTTP 404 or 406 to the client. This is also important for search engine crawlers if there are any…

Automatically reopen all the closed tabs after Primo timeout when sign in again
Some of our patrons like to use Primo with many open tabs, each tab can contain one item they are interested in and want to read/check out. The problem is that if they spend longer time than the timeout limit (one hour for our instance), Primo will automatically log out and close all the tabs. And the patron cannot re-claim/re-open closed tabs after sign in again. It has been a recurring complaint and we think extending the timeout limit is not a good solution. Our expectation for Primo is that when patrons sign in again, the lost/closed tabs from the…

Make consistent the use of CDI record data in Primo UI
Current CDI design in Primo UI is to expose metadata from all participant records for both returning results from a search query, and in the values presented for selection in facet for filtering results, but the display of metadata within records is only by site-specific activations.
This means that a user can search for a term in Primo, have results returned on the basis of that term, select the value for the term in a facet, but then not see the term in the record display. The negative impact of this design decision includes:
