Include Citation type as a configurable field in Purchase request form
When a purchase request is made from Primo selected in Citation type: Book, the order line that is created is of type Physical-One time, and cannot be modified.
It would be nice to modify this default configuration.

Allow Digital Viewer to use different View than Primo
When viewing digital representations in the Digital Viewer, Alma-D uses the same Primo VE View; however, this can cause some difficulties when configurations ideal for Primo don't translate well to the Viewer.
For example, we have a pop-up chat icon in Primo VE for patrons to chat with librarians; because this is configured in View, it's also present in the Digital Viewer, but the icon ends up obscuring parts of the representation's image and metadata.
We'd like to be able to point the Digital Viewer to a different View entirely than the one Primo VE is currently using.

Add the funtionality of Add Row to all Labels
As of now it possible to create copies of Labels to be used in specific views, so that the Label better correlate with the intended user group for that view, by the funtion Add Row.
However, this isn't an option an all different kind of labels. We suggest that this functionality should be available on all labels, so that the library better can customize their different views.

"Do not show as Full Text available in CDI even if active in Alma" for article records
We were informed by Ex Libris that the "Do not show as Full Text available in CDI even if active in Alma" CDI field does not work on articles. As this feature can already impact the discoverability of CDI records in Primo, it would be great if it could be formally developed so it behaves more predictably and less unexpectedly. When selecting "Yes" for "do not show as full text available in CDI even if active in Alma", we are still seeing CDI article records appear in Primo.

Add a language limiter to the Journal Search
Adding a language limiter to the Journal Search in Primo (VE or NDE) would be immensely helpful to students who need to find journals in specific subject areas.

Link generic checkbox in purchase request form to hold item function
We are using the purchase request form in PrimoVE. Is there a way to link the generic checkbox to the hold item function in the associated po line? So the hold item checkbox in the associated PO line is activated when the user checks the generic checkbox in the purchase request form? This would make it easier for us to manage purchase requests.

full text
Currently "full text" is limited to first 65K characters of an article or of a complete [!] book (along with chapter abstracts only) from CDI, or even less from Alma, and not from all sources (e.g., not from JSTOR). Thus tweak results to full text is misleading. For articles, entering from google scholar may circumvent the problem partially. For books, true research now requires search full text (possibly not available or only available in snippet view) in google books for finding the required source and pages, then searching the discovery for the book for electronic access, similar to finding a…

"Peer reviewed" for academic books
Currently, there is a limiter in discovery to "Peer-reviewed articles" but using this limiter does not bring results from books even by the most celebrated academic publishers. While this information arrives from vendors, there should be a way to search peer-reviewed publications that would exclude magazines but include both peer-reviewed journals and books (or book chpaters) by any academic press.

CSL Data (Citation Style Language) in Primo Search API
Primo uses Citation Style Language to generate citations for bib records. Presumably the bibliographic metadata is at some point converted to a csl-data object. https://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/blob/master/schemas/input/csl-data.json
It would be helpful if that csl-data JSON object was available through the Primo Search API. This could be a additional information one could request from the API. https://developers.exlibrisgroup.com/primo/apis/docs/primoSearch/R0VUIC9wcmltby92MS9zZWFyY2g=/

More linking parameters for links in CDI records
I meant to submit this as an enhancement request but missed the deadline. We need the ability to do more than say Proxy Yes/No to links in CDI records. If you are an OpenAthens library, some vendors use the Proxy and others don't and Proquest in particular doesn't. In OpenAthens Proquest URLs get no redirector and instead have a ?accountid=*** with the customer ID. We need to be able to customize CDI links depending on vendor and to put a customer ID to build the correct URL, at least for Proquest CDI URLs. Also, it seems like if there is…

Develop web browser bookmarking tool/extension for pre-populating Purchase Request
With the recent development of the Order It tool, we have realised that for our purposes, we would like to have a similar toll available related to Purchase Requests.
Quicker, easier more accurate.
The form would help keep things accurate without giving access to order it to ordering librarians and help us utilise the requester information in the purchase request form (ours is behind a login and restricted to set user group)
The tool would grab and place the metadata from websites such as amazon, waterstones, and our suppliers, place the information into the purchase request form (which for us…

Fix the CDI's match and merge process
The CDI's match and merge rules/filters need to be adjusted to prevent multiple ISBNs/EISBNs/DOIs from previous e-book editions from being added to the current edition's record, which frequently breaks OpenURL linking to the correct edition. This particularly affects targets like OREILLYONLINELEARNINGACADEMICPUBLICLIBRARYEDITION in SFX.

Implementation of CDI rights at the article level and not just at the database and title levels
CDI knows that a given article belongs to a given journal and knows that we have a subscription to it for this year (based on our SFX subscriptions). CDI therefore displays the article citation as part of the content to which we subscribe and creates an OpenURL link based on the citation metadata. If the citation in CDI is correct but this content does not exist on the platform, this generates errors in our catalogue and returns results that we do not have access to.
ExLibris does not have rights at the article level (only at the database and title…

Allow Independent Configuration of “Fine” and “Potential Fine” in NDE Loan Displays
As a Primo administrator, I would like independent configuration control for “Fine” and “Potential Fine” in the NDE loan displays so that libraries can manage Brief and Detailed loan information consistently and transparently.
Current behavior in NDE is unclear and differs from existing Primo VE behavior:
- When “fine” is enabled in the Loans Detailed Display configuration, both “Potential Fine” and “Fine” appear as separate labels to users, even though only one configuration option exists.
- When “fine” is removed from the Detailed Display configuration, both “Potential Fine” and “Fine” are removed from both the Brief and Detailed loan displays in NDE.

NDE- Links should be visually different from regular text (for example, with underlines) so users can clearly identify clickable elements.
Primo NDE - The linked values in records, for example under “Creator” and “Subject” are not visually differentiated from plain text. Consider underlining hyperlinks (or applying another consistent link style) so users can more easily identify interactive elements.

Interaction between Unpaywall and View-it Section
In some cases the Unpaywall API returns a link but the View-it section of the record shows "No full text available". Customer support explained the beahviour as follows:
"Currently the Unpaywall API used by the Alma ViewIt checks for a direct link to the PDF of the article. In some cases, Unpaywall's API might return a link to a landing page - a webpage in which details on the resource appear as well as option for download. In that case, the ViewIt will not present a link.
The Primo 'Get PDF' link uses a different mechanism, which does support links…0 votes
