2. API access to suspend realtionships among libraries

   Currently, there is no API access to manage the suspension of relationships between libraries in Alma, which requires manual intervention to suspend them at the appropriate time when there is an interruption in the logistics shuttle between libraries. This process can be time-consuming and requires staff to handle it during off-hours, such as early mornings or late nights.
   We propose implementing an API endpoint that would allow libraries to schedule the suspension of relationships at a given date and time. This feature would help streamline operations, reduce manual intervention, and ensure that interruptions in logistics are handled efficiently and at the correct times without requiring staff to be on duty outside of regular working hours.

4. ADD RECORDS TO SETS

   Be able to add selected records to a set that's already created. There is often multiple ways to find records that are part of a group. It seems there's no ability to do a search and select records to add to a set that's already in existence. This could also help if multiple people are trying to find a large number of records that could belong to one set for export or modification.

6. Improve integration between 'Place on hold' in Rialto and Tasks widget in Alma

   If the 'Place on hold' option is ticked when placing an order in Rialto, there is no notification in the Tasks widget in Alma to let Library staff know when an item has arrived. This means we are unable to prioritise the processing of those newly arrived, requested items. If we were to use 'Place on hold' in Rialto, then we wouldn't find out an item had been requested until we happened to scan it in. We would like an integration between Rialto and the requests functionality putting in place to make it apparent to Alma users when items received have been requested.

   Description

   Enhancing visibility into requests currently being processed by colleagues will significantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Resource Sharing Borrowing and Lending operations.

   Please add a facet option to filter out any “free” requests that aren’t being worked on by other staff. By streamlining workflows, libraries can ensure a smoother process, a better client experience, and a more coordinated collaboration among borrowing and lending libraries.

   Alternatively, it could be a note on the request or something similar - a visibility feature that allows staff to better allocate their time by avoiding overlaps and duplicate efforts.

   Our workflows have multiple staff working on requests at the same time, and assigning yourself to a request does not appear for another staff attempting to modify the same request.

   The lack of visibility into active request being processed leads to staff inadvertently working on the same requests simultaneously, resulting in duplicated efforts and wasted time. This inefficiency hinders the smooth fulfillment of requests and increases the workload for both borrowing and lending libraries.

12. Retain previous Sort Routine settings when viewing Items Received in Purchase Order Lines

    NOTE: I posted this before noticing it had been previously suggested (though I did search and couldn't find it before posting, and now it's been deleted:??); my apologies. Suggestion: In the previous iteration the system remembered the previous sort routine setting when viewing a list of received items. The new version reverts to the Library/location setting for each search, even when making more than one search in the same purchase order line. The description sort is our primary setting, so each time we view the list of items, for example to see what has been received and whether there are gaps where we need to claim an issue, we need to re-select the description option. If there is a way to customize settings to make a particular sort setting the default, that would also solve the problem but I don't see where this is an option.

    At the moment, POST /almaws/v1/users/{userid}/loans/{loanid} must be called individually for each loan. This is very time-consuming, especially in large accounts, and the general API limits must also be observed. It would be conceivable, for example, to introduce the loanid ALL, similar to GET /almaws/v1/bibs/{mmsid}/holdings/{holdingid}/items for the holdingid.

    The "Retrieve Items list" has a feature, where ALL can be used for the holdingid parameter to retrieve all items from all holdings. In a similar way we could use POST /users/{userid}/loans/ALL to renew all loans.

    Using POST /almaws/v1/users/{user_id}/loans as the most obvious solution is not possible, as this web service is already in use for creating a loan.

    Currently the 'PO Line Notes' field in the Alma Analytics 'Funds Exchange' subject area, displays the content of all note entries attached to a particular PO Line as a single block of text, starting from the earliest-dated note and ending with the latest-dated note. However, as the field's display in Analytics is limited to 4000 characters, this means that the most recent notes are omitted from the report for any PO Lines that are particularly longstanding or have particularly copious notes. This is true both for the report as displayed within the Analytics interface, and for a version exported to Excel. Applying a formula such as RIGHT() to limit the displayed content to the last characters, is only applied by the system to the already-truncated content, and so does not enable the reporting of the most recent PO Line Notes.

    Generally, the most up-to-date and relevant information is likely to be in the most recent PO Line Notes entries. This change would be helpful to make funds-focused reports more useful for a range of purposes. Additionally, a latest-to-earliest ordering of the notes in Analytics would bring this field's display into alignment with how the notes are ordered in the Alma interface, improving usability.

19. Add "Send Query to Patron" option to Digitization requests menu

    Currently there is not option to ask the patron about a current Digitization request. These requests are often submitted with little or vague information and a way to contact the patron for clarification is needed. The "Send Query to Patron" option for this purpose is included under "the ellipses" for Resource Sharing requests. Why does it not appear for Digitization?
