    Background:
    We want to enable a user with Physical Inventory Operator role to run the job of “Change Physical Items”. According to Alma doc, following roles can run the job:
    * Repository Manager,
    * Repository Administrator,
    * Physical Inventory Operator
    However, despite Repository Manager and Repository Administrator can run the job, Physical Inventory Operator does not have the option run any job. Besides, we only want the user to run the job of “Change Physical Items” but no others.

  2. Alma Digital Viewer to be able to specify and limit the format and size of the download image

    For a representation:
    .In the Alma Viewer or Universal Viewer to be able to specify and limit the format and size of the download image.
    .In the Universal Viewer to be able to disable/hide the 'Whole Image (original format)'and 'Current View (jpg)' download options and specify and limit the size of the image available in the 'Whole image (jpg)' option.

    Or, in some other way make it possible to view a large image (representation) in the Universal Viewer and from the download link there be able to download only a small jpg of a chosen size.

  3. Usage statistics Missing Data page should have a note tab

    In the Missing Data page, we need a place to put notes in to explain all the red Missing symbols, e.g. vendor closed business, see aip and scitation together (usage statistics split in two places), zero usage, resources moved platform to another vendor, etc.

  4. User update notification with loan information

    We would like to send out an email to users, who's account are about to expire. However, we want to have the users current loans added to the email as a table (like the borrowing activity email). The user and librarian can then see what they need to return before their account expires.

  5. Option to delete bib directly from results page

    When viewing a list of search results for holdings or items, there is an option to delete selected holdings or withdraw selected items from the list page, without opening them to edit. Having this function for bibliographic records results as well would be very useful. For example, when we have consolidated holdings from two bibs onto one, we are left with a bib for deletion. There is no need to go through the process of opening it for editing in the MDE only to delete it. A drop down option to "delete bib" would make sense and be much more…

  6. Add fields to specifiy the work order type or workorder status to the print slip for 'manage in process items'

    The print slip for items in the Fulfillment > Manage in process items uses the ReceivingSlipLetter.

    This is the workflow suggested by trainers for things like repairs or other technical work order flows.
    The letter does not have the XML fields that would reflect work order type or work order status.

    Development says this is an enhancement request, as they designed this letter for acquisitions work orders (case 00725539)

  7. Improve "MMS – build record relations" job to allow matching on CZ ISBN-10s

    I may be incorrect on this, but I believe that the "MMS – build record relations" often fails to "relate" lower-quality community zone records to local records where we'd expect it to. I wonder if this might be due to the CZ records concerned having only ISBN-10s (formatted with dashes), whilst the local records have ISBN-13s.

    Whilst it would obviously be ideal to improve the CZ metadata, I know this is part of a larger, incremental project. In the meantime, if I am right about the matching issue, would it be possible to tweak the job parameters to allow matching…

  8. Collection Discovery should support Bookshelf (Shelf List) Browse

    Collection Discovery is a nice feature in Alma, but it would be much better if it could be a virtual bookshelf browse tool of new titles in user defined disciplines.

    Currently, Collection Managers can create collections of titles based on titles sets or title by title additions, but titles within these collections are displayed to users in random order, not as a meaningful collections, and with limited bibliographic information appearing.

    The random arrangement is not pleasing, especially in an academic research setting. It would also be ideal to have the ability to be able to harvest out new titles to…

  9. Holds on behalf of patron

    We would like staff operators (perhaps with certain roles) to be able to place holds on behalf of patrons regardless of TOU settings.

    Additional information: we don’t allow our undergraduate user group to place holds on items that are currently available in our local collection, just on items that are checked out. In the testing I’ve been doing, configuring that TOU option also prevents staff from placing a hold on an available item on their behalf.

    To remedy this we’ve allowed undergraduate students to place holds in the TOU but hid the hold request service on the Discovery Display Logic.…

  10. Note in pop-up requester card in Borrowing requests

    We have certain patrons with special conditions (e.g. they can't use ebooks) that we need to know about when we're putting through Borrowing requests. We keep a record of these in a spreadsheet, but this wastes a lot of time for staff.

    I would like to see notes in patron records display in the Requester information pop-up card in Borrowing requests. This will make it a lot easier for staff to manage these requests.

  11. Indexing 348-Sub-fields "c"

    The subfield c in MARC 348 is new and Alma is not indexing it yet:
    348-Sub-field "c" is not listed in profile for field 348
    Sub-field "d" is not listed in profile for field 348
    Example: 348 ǂc staff notation ǂd 1007 ǂ2 rdafmn

    This replaced the 546 ǂb Staff notation.
    Since this subfield is not indexed yet it is not displaying in Display in Discovery. Are there plans to index these subfields in the near future?

  12. Show call number in brief record

    It is possible to configure what is displayed in the brief record however one cannot choose to display the call number.

    It requires more cliks to see where the physical material is to be found. It would be great if one could find the information directly from the result page of a search.

  13. API for Alma requests

    As it is possible in Alma to convert an Alma request into a Alma Resource Sharing Request (a good workflow), we would like to explore creating a form for users to submit Alma requests outside of Primo and for these to be created in Alma through an Alma requests API.

    Please could an Alma Requests API be created to enable this.

    If a submitted request was not in stock, we would then convert it to an Alma Resource Sharing request (a good workflow).

  14. Improve Calendar Management Notifciations

    I have recently began entering hours at my institution, but I find it extremely frustrating. Once you import a file you have to apply changes, then save changes, and then get kicked back two screens. Often apply changes takes a very long time to update and your stuck wondering if you messed up or the calendar is delayed. Currently a notification appears when you press the apply changes job. However, there is no notification of a successful completion. It is frustrating just backing and going in and out of the calendar hoping a change appears.

  16. Searching Invoice Lines in an Invoice

    In an invoice with multiple invoice lines, there should be a search (or Find) function added so that specific titles can be found without having to look through multiple pages of invoice lines. This would make searching an EDI created invoice of several hundred lines much easier. This new feature could be similar the find function that currently exists in the portfolios tab when editing the service in an Electronic Collection.

  17. Toggle Provenance Codes for Display

    I'd like to propose an enhancement that allows provenance codes to be disabled/hidden instead of exclusively being deleted when they are no longer needed.

    Currently, provenance codes can't be "hidden" from selection if they are no longer needed. Once a provenance code is not used, it can only be deleted and then any items with that code previously assigned are left with a single character from the code and "not listed".

    We use provenance codes to note grant-funded resources, but once the grant is used up, we'd like to remove the provenance code option so it doesn't clutter up the…

  18. Ability to be able to report on 699 $b and $c subfields for Resource Type and Resource Subject

    I would find really useful is to get a list of Electronic Collection Type =databases AND the subfields of 699 field $$a Resource Types AND/OR Resource Subject e.g. $$b. eJournal Services or $$b. Business $$c ALL . This is not supported as the 699 $b and $c subfields are not included as search index in Alma

  19. Inventory pane in MD editor

    Today in order to see the inventory associated with a bibliographic record in the MD editor I need to actively open a pane on the right hand side.
    It will be much more efficient if we can have a persistent pane in metadata editor displaying inventory resources associated with the bibliographic record.

  20. Add percentage to reporting codes

    Now that ExLibris has added the secondary and tertiary reporting codes, it would be really helpful to be able to add a percentage to each of the additional reporting codes so that PO lines and invoices will show the percentage split, just like the fund codes do. This would be especially helpful with ERP so invoices that are split across more than one reporting code/fund would not have to be dealt with manually.
