    We would like Alma to support custom Widgets.

    Something as simple as embedding custom HTML/CSS/JS code to display data from other sources such as Tableau Online or Google Data Studio would be a great addition.

  2. Include a DELETE Function for Patron Demand Driven Worflow

    Currently Patron Driven workflow is managed by the PDA function under Acquisitions. The PDA function allows for Repository Import, where the corpus titles are uploaded for discovery. The PDA also enables order records to be uploaded, which will overlay the discovery record. However, what the PDA function needs is a DELETION function, where records of titles no longer carried by vendor for the PDA can be run through this function, and have it deleted from the PDA corpus set, bypassing the titles that have been paid for.

  3. For publication year search option, replace symbols ">" ">=" "<" "<=" with the wording-- or add behind the symbols.

    The publication year search option drop-down list includes "Equals," "In," "Not Equals," and "Not In"-- and the SYMBOLS for less than, more than, etc. Replacing the symbols with the wording would add consistency (as well as clarity for those of us who haven't had a math class for, ahem, several decades). For example, replacing ">" with "Greater Than" and replacing ">=" with "Greater Than or Equal To."

    Alternatively, add the wording behind the symbols when only the symbol is listed, and add the symbols when there is only the wording.

  4. Add Order button to Record View

    Currently, only Copy, Link, Back and Edit are options in Record View. It would be nice to be able to "Order" an item while in record view, instead of needing to click on back and then order from the All Titles results list. Not only would this save clicks/mousing, it would substantially reduce the risk of accidentally ordering from the wrong record, then having to go through relinking everything.

  5. Make item record note field labels configurable

    Currently the labels on the fields in the physical item notes tab are not configurable. We would like to be able to change the labels for these note fields.

  6. Display 245 subfield "p" in "Additional descriptive information" for Electronic Collection

    “Additional descriptive information” is now displaying subfield 'a' only without subfield 'p'. It is impossible to check whether it is correct or not by the name if there are few bibliographic records which have the same subfield 'a'.

  7. Package level order info required in Repository Search > Other details

    It would be helpful if, when clicking on the Other details link on a particular Repository Search result title which shows no order information, it would indicate whether there was a related order at package level.

    If we want to know whether we are entitled to the access, it may look at first as if we aren't because there's no order attached. However, the order may be at package level.

    We are relaxed about the wording and place of that indication within the Other details balloon - maybe something like "Package Level Order" underneath "Requests/Work orders"?

  8. Have the System Job Notification return a list of barcodes to show which items were skipped when running a job on an itemised (itemized) set

    Use case: As part of our workflow we have to add a fulfilment note and an internal note to items in an itemised set. When creating the text for Internal Note 3, we specify that it only be done if the field is empty (so as not to overwrite an existing instruction, because there is no way currently to ADD text to an already-populated field). When running the job, we are told the quantity of items which were skipped (due to their already having text in Internal Note 3); it would be very useful if the report told us exactly…

  9. Make Mapping Tables available for Alma Admin Users

    We would like to make Mapping Tables available for Admin users in Alma and/or Alma Premium Sandbox to be able to customize fields in Alma that they are self-explanatory for back-end users. For example, in the Full record display (Primo as a discovery layer) we would like to hide the "Pickup location" and modify the "Material type". Another example is to examine Acquisitions fields options for the records management activities.

  11. See user's Institution Id in drop down menu

    Our request concerns the display in the Patron Identification form
    Currently, when searching for a user in Scan Patron's ID or search for patron, a pop-up appears with the name, the group and the Primary identifier displayed for each user.
    We would like the user's Institution ID to be displayed as well.
    Alternatively we would like the admin can choose whether to display the primary identifier or institution id.

  12. Provide more display text options for physical related records

    Although the Alma "Labels" table has multiple codes for use with electronic related titles, there's only one for physical related titles.

    Specifically, there are separate viewit options for 773 (c.uresolver.viewit.relatedtypelist.PARTOF) and 774 (c.uresolver.viewit.relatedtypelist.CONTAINS) but a single getit option (c.uresolver.getit.relatedtitle_display) is used for both 773 and 774.

  13. Have a link to borrower information from the Scan In Items screen

    I have been finding it a bit fiddly to go from returning an item to a borrower's details, primarily in order to pay and waive fines. Would it be possible to display the last borrower number in the Scan In Item screen, and have this and the item barcode number as a link to the Manage Patron and Item pages respectively?

  14. It was very usefull to have a list on a subfield and not only on a field, especially on 606

    It is desirable to have in Alma the functionality that Alpeh offered with F$, that is to retrieve, when calaoguing, the list on a subfields (not only on a field), especially on 606 (subject terms and not only subject strings)

  16. In Cataloging/Authorities, indicate if subject is divisible by place ($z) in the Authority record

    In cataloging, when we look at an authority record (in the community zone) we need to know if the subject heading is authorized to be subdivided by place, for example ($z California $z San Francisco)

  17. Configuration allowing only Institution Level Terms of Use and Fulfillment Policy

    Would like the ability to turn off the creation of Library specific Terms of Use and Library specific Fulfillment Policy. We are a small institution with only one Library. The Institution set-up with Library overrides provides a level of configuration that is problematic and error prone. System enforcement allowing only Institution level changes (which is the recommended configuration) would be very helpful.

  18. Share ALMA session variable related to the desktop and / or Library to use it as a query value in analytics

    I want to generate a single report for all libraries.

    I need to assign the value of the ALMA system variable related to the library to the variable that is related to the library in Analitics so that the data related to that library is automatically selected.

  19. About the default inventory when view inventory in Metadata Editor

    When I click "view inventory" in Metadata Editor, if there are print holdings and electronic portfolios connected with the bib, the default inventory show the electronic portfolios.

    I think the deault inventory showed should be holdings. Because we seldom edit portfolios in metadata editory.

  20. PPDA issue: POL automatically created with Order line type: Physical – One Time upon clicking Approve and Order for PPDA requests.

    DDA purchase request are one such requests created automatically through Primo and goes into Alma as a Purchase Request. The request is created automatically as opposed to one that is created by raising the PO Line. And the POL is automatically created with Order line type: Physical – One Time upon clicking Approve and Order for PPDA requests that the libray receives. We are not able to change the configuration on our side to Print Book – One Time and there is no option to change. In the February Enhancement 2018, there is a workaround, but it does not help…
