  1. Add process type (work order) and update call number to Repository Import profile

    I know there are two jobs available - create physical items work order and update call number from bibliographic - that can be done with item sets.

    But why not make it easier so we can do these two things with the Repository import profile?

    It would be a huge timesaver if the physical mapping has these options:

    1. Assign Process type (work orders)

    2. Update holdings call number without creating new holdings record/item records when using the repository import profile.

  3. Repository search: fulltext of digital files

    We'd like to be able to search the full text of digital files in Alma's repository search. This could be useful in situations where multiple files are attached to a title; searching the full text on the title level in Primo will not guide you to the correct file, but a file-level repo search would.
    We see that there is a "fulltext" search index for digital files, but it looks like that index is for the type of full text file (it doesn't search the contents of the full text).

  4. Apply different Physical Item Sort Routines to different material types

    It would be useful to to apply a different sort routine to different item formats. So for example, we'd prefer books to sort by description ascending, but journals to sort by description descending.

  5. WISO Presse

    WISO Presse is already added as a (portfolio)- selective collection to the ALMA CZ.

    Please also bring in the CDI functionality as well.
    The databases from GBI GENIOS are a very valuable resoruce within the German scientific community.

  6. Add configurable Electronic Material Type field to Electronic Collections

    Electronic Material Type is only configurable at the portfolio level, not the electronic collection level. In many cases, all the portfolios in an Electronic Collection share the same material type. Electronic Material Type should thus be configurable at the Electronic Collection level and inherited by all portfolios in the collection, indexed in Alma searching, included in Alma Analytics, included in the portfolio Extended Export, and modifiable using the Change Electonic Collection Information job.

  7. Add Expiration Date field to portfolios (for Streaming Video lease tracking)

    Libraries lease streaming films for limited periods of time. We need to track the date each film's lease expires so we can delete the portfolio from Alma or take action to lease it for another term. We are currently using the portfolio coverage field to do this, but this is a workaround, not the designed functionality of the field. An Expiration Date field would allow libraries to enter the expiration date into each streaming film portfolio and use Alma searching and Analytics to track the expiring portfolios.   8. Require a better fines and fees summary report

    Would like to see an actual report that summarizes the days transactions by transaction type (one line each for fines, lost payments, processing fees, etc., inlcuding the total number of transactions and amounts) in one section and then a summary of transactions by payment method (# of transactions and the total), with a line for the grand total. An itemized list of transactions would not be required as staff generally just need the totals to balance at the end of the day/shift.   11. Enable default "At" department selection for Process Type in Physical Item Editor

    To change the Process type in the physical item editor, you have to select Process type, then the "At" dropdown. Instead of clicking on the dropdown and selecting the department, it will be much easier if there's always a default selection. Please make this possible as repetitive data entry is a pain point in the physical item editor. I know it's possible to do this in batch using an Alma job. But some staff just cannot handle or have permissions to run jobs to make item changes.

  12. Network Zone indicator for centrally paid collections

    In our instance of the Network Zone, we have collections that the central office negotiates a price for the libraries but the central office does not pay for those collections. We also have collections that are paid for by the central office. Currently I add internal notes indicating if the collection is centrally paid or not. Can an indicator be added to the CZ collections, in which during activation, you could check a box in the Activation Wizard: Electronic Collection and Services Setup that indicates the collection is centrally paid for.

  13. Display new Library Review request in the Task List

    Hello, I am a new customer so this may already be possible... but it would be a great help if whenever a new Library Review is requested to be able to quickly see it in the task list.
    It would also handy if you could run a report of all completed reviews. Thanks

    Add the invoice "Vendor" field to analytics; currently only the invoice "Vendor Account" code and description seem to be available via Funds Expenditure-Invoice Line.

  16. From 'view vendor' list in POL, add '+' capability to Add Vendor?

    Right now one has to either search vendor before order entry, or gamble that the vendor is already in the database and just try entering the POL. But then, if the vendor is NOT in the database, one has to back all the way out, add the vendor, and then start over.

    It would be great to have an 'add vendor record' link right there, with a 'back' button to finish the POL in progress, That would really minimize workflow interruptions during the POL entry process. Might others find this helpful? If you hate stopping, navving somewhere else in…

    We would like to be able to add perpetual access dates in bulk to individual portfolios. This functionality would be helpful for tracking perpetual access on packages/bundles where a large number of portfolios share a common start and/or end date.

  18. Add feature to change the background dark and the letters white in Alma

    Please develop a way to change the background dark and the letters white. Reworded in hopes of getting an update on the previous idea from 2019. At that time it was stated this feature would be on a future roadmap, but we haven't seen anything yet. This is an important feature for those of us who spend a lot of our work time in Alma.

  19. Add permanent location code or name to fulfillment analytics

    Under Alma Analytics we want to request that Ex Libris add the field of permanent location code or name to the fulfillment area of analytics. We need to be able to grab the count of items in a library and how many of those items (held) in that library have circulated by any mean (resource sharing, digitization, loan, etc.). The current table allows us to pull what circulation desk they circulated from. That is not entirely accurate as we allow items to be delivered and circulated from any circulation desk on campus.   20. Ability to edit request priorities

    We would like the ability to edit, i.e. rename or translate, the names of the request priorities in the Manual priority drop-down menu in the request queue. It is not entirely obvious which to choose, and we would like to be able to eg. number them from 1. to 8. It was suggested to us by Ex Libris support that we promote this question through Idea Exchange.
