    We would like to have the process fee for lost items to automatically be removed when the item is returned. The replacement cost is automatically removed, but the processing fee remains and must be waived manually.

  3. Enable filtering by library when patrons use multiple libraries

    Our readerss use more than one library in our institution. When I look at their borrowing record, it shows me all their loans, which in some cases might be 50+. Why can't we filter so it just shows me what they've got from our library?

  4. Require a barcode for newly received serials

    Serials can be assigned a barcode upon receipt, but it would be nice of Alma would prompt users to provide the barcode if/when a barcode is required rather than merely optional. (We only barcode some titles, so a prompt of some kind would help staff who don't know which titles are barcoded as a matter of routine.)

  5. warning when saving changes in patron record before closing record

    When editing a user record, it would be helpful to get a warning pop-up if you try to close the record without saving it. Sometimes when you get interrupted, it's very easy to just close the record without saving the change.

  6. Improve filtering of packages in Community Zone

    When checking for a portfolio to import from the Community Zone, there can be large numbers of collections to sift through from the large suppliers. These appear in what I guess is reverse chronological order i.e. newest created first. It takes much scrolling and scrutiny if you don't want the collections that are offered first.
    There should be a way either to search for the collection you want, or to filter by collection via a drop down. This would save time and also help prevent selecting the wrong collection and possibly having broken links in the Alma linkresolver

  7. In Fulfillment Notes - Can the text of the actual Note be larger than the accompanying text?

    The text of the Note in Fulfillment Notes is smaller and less attention getting than the surrounding text, e.g.; "Are you sure you want to perform this action?"
    It would be easier to find and process if the text were larger than the surrounding text.

  8. Create exceptions for "Closed Library Due Date Management" Settings

    We want to create exceptions for the "closed due date management" setting in our TOUs based on events in the calendar. For example, for single day exceptions such as for holiday closed dates like 4th of July, Memorial Day, etc., we want items due AFTER the exception, but for our month long winter break, we want everything due before the break begins so we can update our equipment and complete inventory over the break. Currently we have it set so the system moves the due time to the upcoming closing time, but we would prefer it to be after the…

  9. Add renewal count to the fulfillment subject area of Analytics

    Please add renewal count (the number of renewals allowed for a certain item policy and material type) to the Fulfillment subject area of Analytics.

    Doing so will allow staff to create a Circulation Matrix from analytics that fully details circulation privileges for certain patron groups, material types, item policies, etc. Circulation staff frequently get phone calls from patrons requesting such information.

    The attached Circulation Matrix is a handy way to answer circulation policy questions from patrons, except when they ask how many renewals they are allowed.

  10. Migration Configuration Menus

    During the migration process, it is sometimes difficult to know what to ask about when looking for help from our migration specialists. Furthermore, following documentation can sometimes be confusing when it leads you to a menu that is not only unavailable, but also invisible. If these menus can be made either "read-only" until an institution receives their Alma Certification, or if the link to the menu can be visible (but not clickable), that will assist in future migrations.

  11. Fulfillment unit rule to have more parameters ie statistical cat

    We have lapsafes in different departments, who would like to restrict loans to just the students from their department. We would like to have Fulfillment unit rule to have the extra parameter of Stats cat 1 etc. In order that we can make a rule to stop or enable specific department students being able to loan specific items etc.

  13. Allow customisation of locations assigning different colours

    As working across different teams it is necessary to switch constantly from one location to another with the possibility to forget to select the appropriate one. Allowing the customisation of the locations assigning a different colour to the layout of each would help avoid this oversight. Moreover it would make feel users in control of locations with no need to constantly check if they are working in the correct environment.

  14. Normal library card scan through the scanner should register the record into the history list. Plus,History of transactions a separate tab.

    When scanning the patron's library barcode with the scanner into the Manage Patron Records, it does not go in the history list/box. However, if you put the details manually, it does appear to have registered the record in the history list. It will come in handy if the scanned record goes in to the history list.

    Plus, if it is possible to add 'Transaction History' option in Fulfilment, that would allow staff to check if the transactions such as checkouts, checkins, holds, transfers, and etc from the self-checkouts, helpdesks, check in rooms or from personal accounts. That will enable the…

  15. Link Resolver API Plugins

    While this would be helpful across the board, specifically with ProQuest's ownership of ExLibris it seems a logical step to add a link resolver API to increase the efficacy of the services page.

    Specifically request a Proquest Link Resolver API Plugin that would allow Alma to do a pre-check to ProQuest to see if full text is available. If the pre-check API query returns 0 matches, then the Full Text Service would be suppressed and the user would see 'No Full Text' on the Services Page.   16. Add platform filter to the "Missing Data"

    The "Missing Data" tab under the Load Usage Data section should have a filter for platform. As I set up more usage reports and as I want to check and make sure all the data came through, it has become more difficult to find the rows that I want to review. A filter for platform will help.

    While adding statistic for user, Alma only shows the description in the list of Statistical Category. We would like to show the code and description both together in order to filter the value by code easily.

    There is a history of searches for "All titles" in Alma.
    It can be cool to have a history for other types of searches such as:
    "Order lines", "Invoices" and etc.

  20. Auto refresh function for the total price of a PO

    The customer of 86THU would like the total price of a PO could be updated automatically when the POLs were added or removed before clicking the Save button. For example, if you sum up some numbers in Excel, the total will be updated in real-time when you add or remove any numbers.
