  1. Filter POLs in Receive New Material by Date Sent

    The list of POLs on the Receive New Material page can currently be filtered by vendor and owning library. It would be helpful to also filter the list by Date Sent.

    An operator might have one or more large orders that they wish to receive all at one time, using the Receive All function. Filtering only by vendor and/or library can still include POLs that they do not wish to receive with the others. Filtering by Date Sent could help them narrow the list further and include only the items on the order(s) they wish to receive.

  2. Add ability to include non-numerical characters as part of search for invoices

    My apologies if someone has already posted this...

    Please add the option to include non-numerical characters as parts of searches of invoices, for example when receiving items. Alma gives the option to receive new material as part of invoice creation, and automatically populates the Invoice number on the Receive New Material screen. However, if any non-numerical characters are included as part of the invoice number, no items are found. Items associated with an invoice can't be searched for until all non-numeric characters are stripped from the Invoice number.

  3. Add user information column to funds transactions tab

    Adding user information in a separate column can show who performed the transaction (relevant for allocation and transfer of funds).
    That way any transaction can be traced back to a specific user.

  4. Customize fields required for ordering template

    Ordering templates are very helpful, but depending on the set up of each library, all the fields that are required right now may not make them as useful as they could be.

    For example, we could use templates more widely - and save more time - if a PO Line type OR if fund was not always required, and instead leave that to the operator to fill in.

  5. Give us a way to send a checkout receipt after we have forgotten to click "done."

    Sometimes staff forget to click "done" after a checkout, then remember that they should have done it to send the email receipt. There is no way to send a receipt after the fact.

  6. Make "Automatically Print Slip" do what it says

    The term automatically print slip makes it seem like you have the ability to turn off printing of slips by setting this to "No". This is not the case. Slips still print. We should have the ability to turn off ALL automatic slip printing when scanning in items. This worked fine for us until the May 2018 and November 2018 releases of Alma changed the way this worked.

  9. Link related user records

    We would like the ability to link user records in a primary dependent manner. This would allow use to identify and remove dependent records when a primary record is identified for deletion. This might be as simple as text box on the general tab. Reason:
    Some patrons have borrowing privileges because of their relationship to an authorized patrons in our system. Faculty spouse have privileges because of the faculty member. When the faculty leaves we need to identify these dependent records to delete them also. In other systems these are known as family records.

    Changing the location after items are moved to Active Hold Shelf

    The location in the Active Hold Shelf item represents the location of the item when the request has been submitted. So, the location of all request that is created on when items are in the process of acquisitions, it’s not updated until the requestor loan it.
    It makes fulfillment staff confused because items look like not ready to loan.
    The best would be updating location after items are moved to the Active Hold Shelf.

  16. Loan receipt with calendar reminder event

    It was very useful to have a calendar reminder for student/staff when they received the Loan receipt. It could be an outlook calendar file, Google calendar or event.

  18. Allow free text in "Change Portfolio" job, "Set interface name" field

    i work almost exclusively with local, standalone portfolios for electronic resources. I need to be able to globally update the "Interface name" field with free text. The"Change Portfolio" job currently only allows the change to be to one of the vendor code names established in the Acquisitions area. Our acquisitions staff have not set up in Alma such codes for many resources, for example, e-collections for which we purchased perpetual access years before we migrated to Alma.

    One reason I need an interface name on the portfolios, is that when I do a repository electronic titles search, there is nothing…

  19. Closed Library Due Date Management- new option for short Loan Items

    For Short Loan Items (due time in hours)
    If for some reason the library is still open (partial opening for query) even though it is closed for Alma
    It is essential to have the option:
    Move to the end of the day
    (the system would take the library closing time)

  20. Searchable archive of old/completed requests outside active request screen

    Too much clutter in active screen. Would be great if this screen only showed new /pending created requests. The facets to the left would then be more meaningful and useful as filters to find specific requests - those sent to partner, those that overdue etc instead of requests with these statuses being presented within the active request mix
