  1. Ability to Bulk reassign RS requests

    We would like the ability to bulk reassign requests in Alma RS, in terms of assigning a group of requests to one staff member to process rather than having to reassign individually.

  2. Add a Description column in the Received Items List page

    Subject: Add a Description column in the Received Items List page

    As a Receiving operator, I would like to be able to see the description of the item I am receiving in the Received Items List page, without needing to click on Edit Inventory Item to navigate to the physical item editor.

  3. Visually accessible display of MMS IDs etc.

    The MMS IDs and other IDs (e.g. holdings IDs, PIDs, item IDs, etc.) are very long. It's very difficult to distinguish one MMS ID from another.

    In the case of MMS IDs in our IZ and our associated NZ, the last 4 digits are fixed and have specific meaning, e.g.:
    MMS IDs ending with -3409 refer to our institution's MMS IDs
    MMS IDs ending with -3406 refer to the associated NZ's MMS IDs

    We'd like Alma to provide an option to display the 5 digits before the 4 ending digits in a different colour in order to make it easier…

  4. All items loan and hold requests history - in citation view.

    The new information available in the 'Other details' tab of items is great, can we also have this information made available in the citation view 'More Info' tab please?

  5. when convert resource sharing request to purchase request - having default settings

    Currently when a resource sharing request is changed to a purchase request our doc del team have to change the same settings everytime. It would be better if we could set defaults on this process, so this team doesn't have to keep changing the same settings.

  6. Make Mapping Tables Available Via API

    It would be very helpful to have Alma mapping tables available through the API, similar to how code tables are available.

    Many code tables are mostly useless without their associated mapping tables, making their API exposure pointless. For example, the UserStatCategories and UserStatisticalTypes code tables need the Statistical Categories/Types mapping table to be of any use (unless you are using a single category).

    Making mapping tables API-accessible would go a long way towards making Alma more developer-friendly.

  7. Show the date a title was added to a collection in the Collection resource editor

    When we manage large collections for the Collection discovery service in Alma, it would be useful to see when the titles were added to make periodic checkings and cleanings in the 'Titles list' tab. It could be showed through an additional and optional column.

  8. Improve visibility of Publishing Information for electronic holdings

    The Publishing Information for electronic holdings is extremely valuable for troubleshooting issues with the assignment of availability status for PCI / CDI records, and with the Link Resolver matching of the OpenURL data with Alma records and presentation of services.

    With the Central Discovery Index (CDI) coming, and the associated transition of the management of discovery records out of the separate PCI interface and into Alma, many sites may take the opportunity to update and realign team responsibilities, with more staff in Alma having a need to see this information.

    Visibility of this core metadata at a minimum helps staff…

  9. Add item policy column to Received Items List

    When receipting books, one of the checks we make is the Item Policy. All our other checks (Shelf mark, location, barcode etc.) are on the Received Items List page, but when we go to check the item policy, the column is not there. We have to go into each one individually to check the item policy.
    I tried looking in the 'Manage column display' option, but the item policy column is not listed there. Please could it be added in?

  10. Sorting on Physical Items Labels Job

    When you run the job named "Export Physical Items Labels", you cant select the order by field on the xml file that ALMA gave you. This is a problem when you take that xml file and with Biaf system print the Labels. For example if you print 100 or 200 Labels you have to search phisically, label by label for paste it on the books.

  11. Allow each items’ request policy with specific parameters (location, keyword etc.) to be excluded from the title-level request policy

    But we are dealing with ASRS in our case so I thought it might be a little more elaborate.

    We would like to have the option to allow each items’ request policy with specific parameters (location, keyword etc.) to be excluded from the title-level request policy.

  12. Display the date a work order is created

    When a work order is created to put an item in process internally ("Technical Services (CAMS)" or "Show to supervisor" or "Preservation") it would be helpful to have Alma display the date this status change happened.

    It could be in the "item history", and/or the "In process" display, and /or in the "list of items." Currently, the receipt date is the last date displayed in these locations, which does not help with locating an in-process item.

  13. Allow customization of close_paid_lost_loans parameter

    When the closepaidlostloans parameter to false and lost loans are closed (either manually or through the Close Lost Loans job), refunds/credits are not automatically given to patrons if the item is subsequently found and returned. When setting the closepaidlostloans parameter to true and the lost loan is closed (automatically setting the Lost and Paid status), a refund/credit IS applied to the patron’s account if the item is subsequently found and returned, providing the Lost Loan Refund Ratio is greater than 0.

  14. Ability to be able to report on 699 $b and $c subfields for Resource Type and Resource Subject

    I would find really useful is to get a list of Electronic Collection Type =databases AND the subfields of 699 field $$a Resource Types AND/OR Resource Subject e.g. $$b. eJournal Services or $$b. Business $$c ALL . This is not supported as the 699 $b and $c subfields are not included as search index in Alma

  15. Add location creation modification details to Alma config and Events SA in analytics

    Staff should be able to see who and when locations were created and/or modified in both the Alma config interface and in the Events Subject Area.

  16. Prevent change of due-date when the item is under the recalled status.

    Or have an alert message of some kind when the due date is being changed.
    Because when the due date is changed, the recalled item reverts back to its initial status making it difficult to determine if there are requests placed on the item.

  17. Electronic Collection Activation - Ability to specify Inventory groups

    I would like to request there be an option to specify inventory groups when activating an electronic collection from the community zone. We actively share our Alma with another institution and utilize inventory network groups. When activating an community zone collection, there is currently no option to specify inventory group(s) the collection (or FT service) belongs to . This causes those portfolios to appear in ALL primo views until we can specify groups AFTER the activation process is finished.

  18. Linking Proxy and Sponsor accounts

    In our library, we create a separate library account for every Proxy, in addition to their personal account.

    1. We want the Proxy and Sponsor accounts to be linked to each other so that all loans made by a Proxy on behalf of a Sponsor will automatically be registered on both accounts.
      In addition, all requests placed by a Proxy on behalf of a Sponsor should be loanable on the Sponsor's account without the need of deleting the request/s from the Proxy's account.

  19. Column and/or filter for Privacy in Manage Sets

    In Manage Sets it would be really helpful if there was a column to show if a set was Private or Not, and a filter for Privacy (Yes/No).

    This would help when I'm trying to delete from "My Sets" or All Sets" tab. To make sure I don't break someone's business process I need to go into each set to check the privacy before I delete a set.

  20. Manage Cataloger Roles at the Library Level

    We would like the roles Catalog Administrator, Catalog Manager, Cataloger, and Cataloger Extended to be set at the Library level instead of the Institution level. We have special collections that we only want only some of our staff to edit. Assigning catalogers to one or more libraries is much more efficient than assigning cataloging levels to users and records.
