  2. Shortcut keys to expand drop-down lists in new MD Editor

    Please add the shortcut keys for each tab in the menu bar of the records area.
    In the old MD Editor, shortcut keys Alt+F, Alt+E and Alt+T are for expanding the drop-down lists of File, Edit and Tools respectively. They are very important shortcut keys in the the AutoHotKey/Macro scripts. But there are no such shortcut keys in the new MD Editor.

  3. Reading lists - notification on Alma if an attempt is made to delete an item on a Leganto reading list

    We would like there to be a notification on Alma if any attempt is made to delete an item that is on a Leganto reading list, whether it is deleted individually or as part of a batch-job. The deletion could be because the physical item is in poor condition or has been lost by a user, in which case we would need to know to purchase another copy. Alternatively, we may be deleting because we have purchased a newer edition, and would need to make sure that our reading lists are updated. This would apply to both physical and e-resources.…

  4. For existing titles that need a new order, allow manual assignment of existing holdings

    For serials, very often not every order is for a new title. We often close an order and create a new one when we switch to a different vendor -- this is preferable to changing vendor in order for reasons relating to invoice history -- or, in cases where a title was cancelled and is being reordered but with a different vendor. In either of these scenarios, we would open a new order but would want to continue existing holdings with new issues, not create another holdings record.   5. More information on Process Type Transit

    In 'Item history', you can see when an item was checked in and out of transit, but not for whom or whereto. If something goes wrong with the transit, you can't get any information about the inactive/completed request.

  6. Users should be allowed to place Resource Sharing requests for volumes which are unavailable in local library

    For multi-volume titles, if local library has some volumes available, it is not allowed our users to make Resource Sharing requests. It would be very helpful if our users could place Resource Sharing requests for those volumes that are not available at our library. See Support Case #00955156 & #00699280 for further reference.

  7. The material type can be updated in bath mode

    At present, for journals if the portfolio being activated is from the Community Zone, the material type value is ignored in the input file .For multiple portfolios , It is unrealistic to modify manually one by one.

  8. Item Sequences Configuration: "Set Next Sequence Value"

    It is currently not possible to change the sequence value to a lower one --> error message: "The new sequence value must be greater than the current value."
    In order to achieve the desired result, you then have to delete the counter and set it up again.

  9. SAML authentication for patrons for Resource Sharing

    Currently, when an article or book chapter that a patron requested for has been fulfilled through resource sharing in Alma, the patron receives a document delivery notification letter informing the patron to download the requested article or book chapter. The URL link for SAML authentication for patrons requires SAML to be configured for Alma in addition to Primo VE (See support case 06050447). As Alma is intended for only library staff to login to work, I think it is best not to expose Alma's URL to patrons. Hence, I think that all patron services should be authenticated through Primo VE…

  10. Add facet for payment method to invoice task lists

    Our finance staff divide invoice approval work based on payment method. Each focuses on a different payment method and each method has its own workflow.

    We typically have hundreds of invoices in the approval task list (and many hundreds in review). Being able to filter the list based on payment method would enable users to work more efficiently, as it currently cannot be determined without either opening the invoice or first creating a report in Analytics.

  11. Add fields to specifiy the work order type or workorder status to the print slip for 'manage in process items'

    The print slip for items in the Fulfillment > Manage in process items uses the ReceivingSlipLetter.

    This is the workflow suggested by trainers for things like repairs or other technical work order flows.
    The letter does not have the XML fields that would reflect work order type or work order status.

    Development says this is an enhancement request, as they designed this letter for acquisitions work orders (case 00725539)

  12. Location color schemes

    I would like to make it an option to change the color scheme of the ALMA top ribbon/possibly sidebar to differentiate locations especially between Main Circulation Desk and Acquisitions, of which I have to switch regularly. This would save me time spent on correcting errors due to being in the wrong location for a particular procedure.

  13. Stop bib page from jumping

    When editing different fields within a bib record, the page inexplicably jumps and scrolls, causing catalogers to lose their place or mistype. This seems to be especially true at the bottom of longer records, when it will auto-scroll towards the top when the cataloger is still trying to edit fields near the end of the record. Please allow for the page to be stationary unless catalogers physically scroll the page.

  14. Hide non-circulating library from 'pickup location' options for all requests as desired

    Example 1: We had an issue where a staff member had chosen an incorrect library for the pickup location for move requests (when putting items on Course Reserves). The library they chose was our Resource Sharing Library (which we don't use at all and so is irrelevant to us in every way). I submitted a case to Support asking if we could somehow hide this library from view in the pickup location options in Alma, but was told that this wasn't possible.

  15. Improve "MMS – build record relations" job to allow matching on CZ ISBN-10s

    I may be incorrect on this, but I believe that the "MMS – build record relations" often fails to "relate" lower-quality community zone records to local records where we'd expect it to. I wonder if this might be due to the CZ records concerned having only ISBN-10s (formatted with dashes), whilst the local records have ISBN-13s.

    Whilst it would obviously be ideal to improve the CZ metadata, I know this is part of a larger, incremental project. In the meantime, if I am right about the matching issue, would it be possible to tweak the job parameters to allow matching…

  16. Provide a solution to use POLs in context of Auto Holdings collections

    The Auto Holdings collections are a big help for activating electronic resources. However, if you want combine them with manage your orders for the resources in Alma, you run into problems.
    Use case 1: A library orders several thematic e-book packages on a yearly basis from Springer. They activate SpringerLink Books - AutoHoldings. All e-books are activated there. If, however, the library wants to retrace, wich thematic packages they bought in which year, they are confronted with n POLs attached to SpringerLink Books - AutoHoldings with no chance to sort out quickly, which order pertains to which collection and which…

  17. Resource Search Brief record's displayed fields

    When performing Resource Search for external resources, the edition statement or series name is not displayed.
    However, Alma does show these when searching for records internally by adjusting "Manage column display", which makes it easy to know what record we are dealing with.
    If a record is known to have an edition statement or series statement, it should be displayed in external resource search as to make it easy to identify the records without having to open them one by one to check such information.

  18. Ability to configure the subject list names of the Browse Bibliographic Headings

    Currently, the Browse Bibliographic Headings subject list names the CZ vocabularies and is OTB provided and cannot be changed.
    As we use only a few of this vocabulary, we would like to be to configure it and be able to choose which one appears in the list.

  19. More Options for the "Pick Up Requested Resources" Window

    It would be great to have even mor configuration options for the pick up requested resources window. (See picture below)
    For example wenn picking up SIA norms, we would like to see such fields like the series number field (field 830) so we don't have to search on in the shelve for the exact norm.

  20. Create role profile from specific user roles.

    Once we have assigned roles to a certain user, and we see that the functionality is correct, it would be interesting to be able to create a profile directly with the roles of this user.
    In this way, we can assign the same roles to another user.
