  1. Purge User Records – Add field to prevent purge of users with active requests.

    In addition to Number of days, user record, user group, and waive threshold, an institution should have the option:
    Do not purge if there is active request(s)

  2. Provide a configuration to limit by material type to a specific pick-up location

    For institutions with multiple libraries where only one library may have A/V viewers or microform readers it would be helpful for that institution to limit the pick-up location by material type to the library that has the necessary equipment for onsite use.
    This would eliminate confusion and time delay when a user makes a request to pick up a material type at a location where they cannot use it onsite.

  3. Allow the use of comma for decimal separator in item replacement cost.

    Hello,

    Instead of using a decimal point for the decimal separator, the Brazilian real have a comma. The thousands separator for Brazilian money is the period.

    Alma does not allow the use of comma as a decimal separator in item replacement cost. This is causing several problems to us, as this field had comma in it from our previous system (Aleph), and every time we need to update an item record the system gives an "Item replacement cost must be a number" error. Also, it seems that any Analytics report that includes the field results in an SQL error.

  4. From 'view vendor' list in POL, add '+' capability to Add Vendor?

    Right now one has to either search vendor before order entry, or gamble that the vendor is already in the database and just try entering the POL. But then, if the vendor is NOT in the database, one has to back all the way out, add the vendor, and then start over.

    It would be great to have an 'add vendor record' link right there, with a 'back' button to finish the POL in progress, That would really minimize workflow interruptions during the POL entry process. Might others find this helpful? If you hate stopping, navving somewhere else in…

  5. Fulfillment Network Users get roles assigned by Role Assignment Rules

    Network Zone/Fulfillment network users get roles scoped to our institution zone by the role assignment rules, which makes it appear that they have access to user and financial and other data of our institution, even if they don't.

    I propose changing the behavior so that users who are not local, and from another institution are ignored by the role assignment rules.

  6. Include T&Cs in the Patron Deposit Status Update Letter

    Include the T&Cs that the patron agrees to in the XML for the deposit status update letter, and accommodate it in the stylesheet when the resource is submitted.

    They would then have a copy of what they agreed to.

    I understand we could customise the letter to include this, but I'm concerned that if the T&Cs change, then there is a risk that the letter is not updated at the same time.

  7. Add a tab to Manage Sets that shows Sets linked to Publishing Profiles

    From Admin - Manage Sets we can see My Sets, Public Sets, and All Sets. It would be useful for there to be a way to more easily distinguish and find sets that are used in Publishing Profiles. As more and more integrations with third party services rely on Publishing (HathiTrust, Google Books, RapidILL, BrowZine, Syndetics, etc.) more and more sets need to be created and maintained and occasionally tweaked if locations or libraries are added, removed, or changed, or if new materials within the sets become unshareable for some reason.

  8. Option to configure interested user notification for ebooks to be sent when activation task changed to Done rather than when Activated

    We would like the ability to configure when our interested user notifications are sent for ebooks. We would like the option to send these when the activation task is changed to Done in the Electronic Resource Activation Task List instead of when the ebooks are activated. This would give us the opportunity to check the ebook portfolio links and bibliographic records for our Rialto purchased ebooks before the notifications are sent to the interested users.

  9. Show vendor name first in dropdown list instead of vendor code

    On the page of invoice details, in the vendor dropdown list, the vendor code is displayed which is quite uncomfortable as you have to remember the codes. We would like to see the vendor's name instead. Currently if you want to see the name, you have to open the menu.

    Display Collection details on a citation record the same as what you see via an Alma All title display

    We use Collections to group records together to help with our Leganto processing, but you cant see this information from the Citation view. We would like both views to provide the same level of information. The attached screenshot shows what I mean

  11. Improving Ability to Create Repeating Courses for Multiple Semesters

    Currently there is no ability to have two courses in different semesters with the same course code and section number in Reserves. Our college reuses course codes and section numbers between semesters, so we are unable to build new courses with the same course code/section number combination before the current semester ends.

    I would like to add additional identifying fields to the current code/section unique identifier. Possibilities include unique terms (Fall 2022) or a term/year combination (Fall + 22-23).

    Add the invoice "Vendor" field to analytics; currently only the invoice "Vendor Account" code and description seem to be available via Funds Expenditure-Invoice Line.

  15. Alma “scan-in” API: Marc21 field 852 - call number prefix and suffix

    We are using the Alma “scan-in” API
    /almaws/v1/items?itembarcode={itembarcode}
    which redirects to
    /almaws/v1/bibs/{mmsid}/holdings/{holdingid}/items/{item_pid}
    to print book labels.

    Some sublibraries also use call number prefixes or suffixes in some cases.

  16. work order status scope to work order department

    Currently in Alma, the work order deparment and work order status are two separate lists associate with a work order type. In our library, sometimes branch libraries may track work order status differently, we ended up with a long list of work order status that shared among all work order departments, some status may not applicable to some work order department. We would prefer to have multiple work order status lists that scope to individual work order department respectively.

  17. Improve search for ayn diacritic directly after hyphen

    In a romanized Hebrew search when an ayn diacritic appears directly after a hyphen, there is zero results with the expected search: "gozeret ha-orot" (no spaces). This very search has the expected result in Primo but not Alma. That search also works in OCLC Connexion. I was told to use a space instead of a hyphen in Alma, which brought up the record but it is not the way one expects to search in this instance.

  18. URL Checker for Alma

    In the system we were working with before (Innovative's Millennium) we had a tool for checking electronic record URLs called URL Checker, so we could detect URLs that weren't working properly. We suggest that this tool be developed for Alma.

  19. Display new Library Review request in the Task List

    Hello, I am a new customer so this may already be possible... but it would be a great help if whenever a new Library Review is requested to be able to quickly see it in the task list.

  20. Allow request-type webhooks to be triggered only under certain conditions

    We would like the ability to configure request webhooks such that they are triggered only when certain conditions are met. Request webhooks for patron physical item requests include the user’s primary ID and the title they have requested. This type of circulation information should in most circumstances stay within the library and not be shared with third parties. But it may be necessary to enable a third-party integration in order to provide needed services, such as a smart locker delivery service.
