  1. Add multiple vendors to order to distinguish between licensing agent vendor and invoice vendor

    We often place orders with a licensing agent but then the invoice is received directly by the publisher or even a subscription agent. However we can only record the invoice vendor on the POL record. It would be really useful to be able to record multiple vendors on an order by type, e.g invoice vendor; licensing agent vendor.

  2. Make POL in associated PO Line tab clickable

    In the "Associated PO Lines" tab of a POL record, make the associated POL a link that could be clicked to bring the user to that POL.

  3. Index POL Renewal Notes for Search

    Please consider indexing the "Renewal Note" field on POLs for searching/advanced search. Having that data in Analytics is great, but it'd be very helpful to find it when searching Alma as well.

  4. “Run a job” and “Create itemized set” should be available from the list of Purchase order lines

    When you are in a list of items on a bibliographic post in Alma you have the option to checkmark several items and choose “Manage selected” – “Run a job” or “Add to itemized set”/”Create itemized set”. Now that we have the list “All PO Lines” and can checkmark POLs in the list, it would be practical for these options to also be available for PO lines. Currently you only have the option of creating a logical set (if you add filters to the list) from the list “All PO Lines”. This would make it easier and quicker to run…

  5. Communications in cancelled POL

    Alma offers the possibility of sending communications to the vendors at the POL level. While the POL is active, you can see both the communications made and their content in the POL Communications tab. However, when the POL is canceled, the content of the communications cannot be displayed in Alma.

    Knowing the content of the communications, especially in POLs that are canceled, is necessary to know the reasons for the cancellation.
    We propose that the content of the communications be seen in Alma not only when the POL is active, but that it be viewed independently of the POL Status.

  6. Send a notification when a POL marked as manual renewal is added to the task list

    When a PO line is marked as manual renewal and it subsequently appears in the renewals task list a notification should be sent to those with the appropriate role in Alma to advise.

  7. Change PO Line Owner instead of having to delete & start again

    Hello

    A colleague has requested that we ask for this enhancement:

    Would it be possible to have the ability to change the PO Line Owner (ie, if someone selected St Teresa’s but should have selected Craven) instead of having to delete the whole POL and start again?

    Our current process requires users to delete the POL if they've chosen the wrong POL owner or PO Line Type, and it would be great if they could just edit it and not have to start all over again.

  8. Adding an interested user for paid invoice (or pol)

    For the orders to be reimbursed by other department, we cannot initiate the reimbursement request until the order is paid. Often, the invoice team would have to notify the management's assistant. The mechanism of "interested user" is already in place. I wonder interested user "after invoice is paid" can be set up.

    PO Line - Communications

    It is not possible to add all order communications with the vendor into one tab "Communications". All communcations that's starts from the vendor can not register here, only the communications that's starts from the library.
    It is not possible to select a communication type that's not sending a email to a vendor in the communication tab.
    It is very important for us that the chronology of communications is saved in one tab and not in many tabs.

  10. Make Vendor Reference Number Field Indexable

    Our staff often use the vendor reference number in order to search and find orders for review or to receive them, particularly when the title listed does not match the title in hand (usually due to vendor error in sending the wrong material). Being able to search for the vendor reference number (e.g. the 112-1111 etc. reference # from Amazon, or a vendor order confirmation #), would facilitate ACQ in finding materials and orders. Additionally, we understand we can "add" it to the Receiving Note or elsewhere, but we think we should be able to add the data to one…

    It would be very helpful to have the Purchase Type included in order templates. PO lines that share criteria in other fields usually have the same Purchase Type.

  12. PO line edit screen - Display "Recent Selections" for the "Access Provider field"

    This idea was submitted by Ex Libris to evaluate the need for the enhancement specified below:

    Today when adding/editing the "Material Supplier" field (Vendor information section), Alma present the user with the recent 5 selections in order to assist them with the selection and make their work easier with less clicks.

    The need here is to add the same functionality described above also to the "Access Provider" field.

  13. Manual orders for physical items: selecting more than 20 POLs for a manual PO

    1. first scenario: a. you enter a number of POLs bigger than 20 (same library and same supplier), b. then you want to make a single manual PO of them; c. from the “acquisition” menu, you choose “package” (in order to make a PO), d. the whole POLs list is visualized, and that list occupies more than one page (one page contains up to 20 POLs):  you have no way to select all of them (not even with “select all”): any selection is valid only for the active page, and gets lost when you change page;  you have to…

  14. PO Templates: allow anyone to delete

    Right now a PO template can only be deleted by the person who created it. We have a number of templates sitting in our list that were created as tests when we first adopted Alma. We can't delete them because we don't know who made them, and it's possible that the creator no longer works at our institution.

    We don't see why public templates require this level of protection; if someone is concerned about a template being deleted, they can make it private.

  16. Job to automate the addition of multiple POL notes

    We sometimes need to cancel or close large groups of POLs. We append notes to these to explain the closure.

    Currently, we need to add these notes to POLS one at a time.
    A function that allows us to append the same note to multiple POLs (ex. "POL closed on 12/12/18 due to package changes") at once would be extremely helpful.

  17. 建议alma在“run a job”的“Update PO Lines Information”的作业中,增加“订购开始日期、续订日期、续订提醒天数”这些操作项,从而实现对订单批添加这些字段信息

    鉴于现在在ALMA中下订的期刊订单,我们全部都需要给每一种期刊的订单人工去更新和填写续订字段的信息,
    工作量比较繁重。我的想法是建议alma在“run a job”的“Update PO Lines Information”的作业中,增加“订购开始日期、续订日期、续订提醒天数”这些操作项,从而实现对订单批添加这些字段信息(目前的“Update PO Lines Information”已经有“手工续订”这个选项可以批处理,增加剩下的字段应该可以实现)。

  18. 'Additional PO Line' description

    When you have inventory that is connected to multiple PO Lines, it would be great to be able to see the description of the POL from within the inventory. Currently the additional POLs are listed but you can only see a PO Line number, and you need to click into each one to see the description.

  19. Change bib reference action added to POLs created from CZ records

    The Change Bib reference action is not available on some of our PO Lines due to using a CZ record to create the order. This is an issue for us as PO Lines with CKB references don't have bib record information when we use Analytics.

    In our now closed SalesForce case (00570591) we were told that PO Lines for an electronic item can be relinked only if it has an MMS ID in the first place, and we see from the manual that changing the bib record isn't possible using the relink action if there’s not already a bib record…

  20. PO lines to renew task list - display the renewal note

    It would be useful to be able to customise the display so show the Renewal Note in the renewals task list so that we can see if there is anything particular to do/not do without opening up the order.
