Add Material Type column to Item List
It would be great if we could see the item Material Type when we are in the Items List.
Can we add an item Material Type column? If people don't want to see it they can eliminate from view.
This is especially helpful when there are multiple item material types with the same call number, location, and no Description. If we had a Material Type column we could tell right away which item was which material type.

call number sort in "Generate accession number" drop down menu
The call numbers are mandatory in all our items and holdings. Somes of call numbers are more used than other.
For example the call number RIA is used oftentimes while the call number DSA is littled used. Though, currently, RIA are at the end of the menu wheras DSA is at the top.
Authorizing sorted the call number would dramatically reduced search time in the long drop down menu (Tools > MARC Bibliographic > Generates accession number) and make easier the job of our librarians.1 vote -
Make item record note field labels configurable
Currently the labels on the fields in the physical item notes tab are not configurable. We would like to be able to change the labels for these note fields.

I would like to suggest that when the cataloger has to create an item and adds barcode, that certain details like Copy ID and Inventory Date are automatically input and saved. Currently when the barcode is inserted, it saves automatically and leaves the page immediately. This delays our work, as we have to go back to edit the item again and insert all other details.

Ways to track the history of changes in Physical Locations configuration
We need a way to know if there is any change made in Physical Locations. It could be an email, or adding columns like Last Updated Date.

Add the ability to display the MMSID number in the results list from a physical item search
Add the ability to display the MMSID number in the results list from a physical item search. Having to open the bib or export the results to get the MMSID is inefficient.

Display all holdings for physical items in the search results page
Currently you can only display a maximum of 5 holdings in the search results page. It would be good to be able to see all holdings in the search results page without additional clicks needed.

Reduce the number of clicks when editing holdings from item screen
From the edit item screen, if you click into the holdings and edit the holdings and save, you need to click the BACK button several times before you get back to the item screen. This adds so much time to a simple process. Can this be considered in the Alma UX improvement? Thanks

Rename topmost Cancel button on Resource Request Monitoring screen
When the Resource Request Monitoring screen has been reached by clicking on a request in a persistent search result, the user is presented with multiple invitations to “Cancel”:
- One next to the Edit and the “…” buttons for each request,
- One on a button further up the screen, above the Export List and Manage Column Display icons.
This can be misleading for staff, especially those less experienced, as it infers that two options called the same thing would perform the same task if either were clicked upon. The Cancel button furthest up the screen, however, does of course serve the…

Variables in Subject of Letters
It would be great if it would be possible to add variables (f.e. location) to the subject field of letters.

Radio button in 'list of holdings' page
During the last Alma release the radio button on the list of holdings page was moved to the right. Please move it back to the left or make its position customizable.

Fill in the provenance code of the item according to the acquisition method entered in the purchase order
When you create a PO line, you also create the copies to be received. Among the information is the method of acquisition. The most common one being "purchase", it would be convenient to copy this data in the field "provenance" of the item for example at the time of reception.

We wish that the report of withdraw items job can provide a list in the detail information
After running the withdraw items job, we hope that the job report could provide a list in detail about the relevant records (including: number of deleted holdings records, number of deleted holdings records, number of deleted holdings, number of deleted bibliographic records, number of suppressed holdings records) so that we can review the detail of the impacted records. Holdings push to MDE
When a group of holdings records requires editing, it would be nice to be able to push just the holdings record to MDE in a batch (select all). As of 7/2021, you either have to view holdings and push to MDE (one by one) or push all bib records (select all) to MDE then update holdings in MDE.

The general principle is

Improve the job report of the job Withdraw Physical items
In the job report of the job Withdraw Physical items, we wish that alma can provide downloading feature for the following records:
* Number of withdrawn items
* Number of unmanaged items
* Number of suppressed holdings records
* Number of suppressed bibliographic records
* Number of deleted holdings records

add an attachment icon picture besides the item of the attachment.
In Primo, readers often can not distinguish the difference of the book and the attachment of the book(ex: CD-ROM). So readers often request the barcode number of the attachment of the book first wrongly, and then find that they really want to request the book instead of the attachment of book(CD-ROM). I suggest the system can show an attachment icon picture(Ex: paper clip) besides the item of the attachment. It can help readers to distinguish the types of the items(book or CD-ROM attachment) quickly and correctly.
