  1. Split CZ Ebook Central Perpetual, DDA and Subscription Titles into three separate categories on the interface name

It would be easier for us to administer our PQ subscriptions if it was specified what they were.  That is instead of  showing "Ebook Central Perpetual, DDA and Subscription Titles" in the interface name, in our case we would have DDA titles, Ebook Central owned titles and Academic Complete listed instead.  Could this be done via the metadata in these records?  For example we may wish to see how many DDA titles are appearing on Reading Lists

  2. Retain local linking information following 'Link Local Portfolios to Community' function

It would be useful if local linking information (parser parameters and static URL overrides) was retained in portfolios when linked to the Community Zone using the 'Link Local Portfolios to Community' function at Collection Service level. Currently, this is not the case and local linking information has to be restored manually to Community Zone-linked portfolios following this process (even though other local information such as coverage date overrides and notes are retained).

  4. Add bib records for electronic collections to the "electronic titles" search

Currently, bib records for electronic collections can only be found in an "all titles" search. We would like electronic collections to be considered inventory so that their bib records will be findable in an "electronic titles" search along with bib records for portfolios.

  5. Add "Standard" as an Electronic Material Type option

    Hi Support,

Currently, there is no option for "Standard" as an Electronic Material Type, if we can add the option by ourself will be useful.

  6. Non Auto-active collections deleted in CZ - keep active in IZ

If there is an active collection in the IZ which is linked to the CZ but marked as non auto-active, if that collection is deleted from the CZ it should stay active and local in the IZ.
The current scenario is that the IZ collection becomes inactive.
The scenario should keep the collection local and active in the IZ.

  7. Move set of Portfolios from CZ to Local collection-URL type

When moving a set of portfolios from a CZ collection to a locally made collection, ask and allow for the portfolio URL type to be changed and accurately reflect the change. For example, if the portfolios URL structure is set at Parser parameters in the CZ, and the local collection uses static URLs, change the portfolios to static (binary checkbox) and update the free text URL field to reflect the static URL. (By moving a set of portfolios from a CZ to a local collection, the resulting URLs still using parser parameters won't work, and the export URLs job won't…

  8. Make "Available To Date" actions customizable so portfolio can be automatically deleted after "Available To Date"

The "Control the Availability of Portfolios Automatically at a Pre-defined Date" feature, introduced in the February 2023 release (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Release_Notes/2023/Alma_2023_Release_Notes?mon=202302BASE), allows libraries to enter an Available From Date and Available To Date in portfolios, and the portfolio will be automatically deactivated after the Available To Date. This feature is designed to be useful in cases where libraries lease a piece of content (typically, a streaming film) for a limited period of time.

However, after a portfolio has reached its "Available To Date," we don't just want to deactivate it; we want to delete it entirely from Alma (and its…

  9. Add the ability to record enumeration in portfolios

More and more frequently, we have access to multi-volume e-resources where each volume has its own static URL (and therefore, its own portfolio) and all the e-volumes are linked to the same bib record, the same way a multi-volume print resource's volumes would be. I'd like to see an enumeration field in portfolios so that volume information (not the same as coverage) can be recorded, indexed, and displayed.

  11. How can we know which ISBN identifier be used to perform the "linking local portfolios to CZ" processing

We have 2 local portfolios https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/book/10.1002/9781118558133 (v.1) & https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/book/10.1002/9781118558126 (v.2) which those 2 portfolios are linked to MMSID 9940441503411. See attached spreadsheet.
As those 2 local portfolios with the 3 same set of ISBNs be involved (9781848211124, 9781848211117, 9781848211100), we have tried to link them to CZ by ISBN identifier. Only 1 local portfolios be linked to CZ successfully (see linking to community by ISBN identifiers_2.png). We have performed the linking process again and found that it is linked to the same CZ portfolio (bkey=10.1002/9781118558126). We are wondering which ISBN identifier be used for the linking processing if we have…

  12. Have more file format choices for loading profiles in the ES-Editor

Rather than only being able to download profiles in Excel format in the Electronic Services Editor, it would be nice to be able to use MARC and text formats as well. There could be a radio button selection for file format. This would be better than using a profile import, since the Electronic Services Editor contains the link resolver and the profile import does not. Thank you.

  13. Implement auto holdings for Gale Cengage

Implement auto holdings (autoholding, auto load, autoload) for Gale Cengage, as is already available for ProQuest, Elsevier, Ovid, and Springer.

In particular Gale Virtual Reference Library.

  14. Filter Community Zone Updates Task List by library associated with the Electronic Collection

We would like the Community Zone Updates Task List to include another column for the library associated with the Electronic Collection so that this field could be filtered on (and staff in individual libraries can look at only their tasks instead of the entire institution's).

  15. Enable 776 as a match point for Link Local Portfolios to Community function

Currently this only works for ISBN/ISSN matches in the 020/022 fields. Many CZ records do not have these fields but do have 776 fields with ISBNs. Enabling this as a match point would greatly improve automatic linking of entire sets.

  16. Ability to edit a collection's Service Type after the collection has been activated

Once a collection has been activated, there is no way to edit the service type. Sometimes we find that a collection that we thought was Full Text is actually Selective Full Text or a collection comes from the CZ incorrectly configured. It would be nice to have the ability to correct the Service Type.

  17. Customize CDI Activations by Resource Types

Under the CDI tab in each electronic collection, we currently see a list of resource types that are included in the CDI database. It would be nice to have the ability to choose which of these resource types you would like activated for CDI. For example, you may want ebook results from JSTOR, but want to exclude book chapters. Another example would include removing book review results. Having such ability would allow us to curate the best selection of results for our user population and preventing the "firehose effect" of primo searches.

  18. CZ Updates Task List -- Add CDI coverage percentage updates

When a collection is activated, sometimes the CDI is not activated as the coverage percentage is not high enough. When this percentage is updated to include more content it would be nice to be notified of this via the CZ Updates Task List.

  19. Add a Community Zone filter to exclude consortial electronic collections from results

When searching the Community Zone, would like to be able to weed out the electronic collections that are for consortia so it's easier to browse collections under certain providers. For example, searching "oxford*" produces 532 hits. A good percentage are packages for specific consortia. I assume this change would entail creating an identifier for consortial collections.

  20. Prevent portfolio loader from wiping out local coverage

Currently, if we use a portfolio loader to update the portfolios in an electronic collection, e.g. to add a standard note in the portfolio internal description field, the loading of the portfolio loader will wipe out the local coverage in the portfolios. The local coverage will be gone but the coverage statement will remain marked "local".

The portfolio loader I use usually contains only the two columns of ISSN (for matching), and the column of INTERNAL_DESCRIPTION (for adding the note). This is done only for SOME of the portfolios in the collection.

The work around is to load the portfolio…
